Point Guard

Russell Westbrook is going to break the triple-double record. Despite an unfavorable matchup against the Grizzlies, you know the Thunder will give him all the rebounds he needs to get it. His price dropped because of the matchup, so he has a great chance at hitting cash value. Fire up the triple-double machine in cash.

Kyrie Irving and the Cavs square off against the first-seeded Celtics and this should be an extremely competitive game. Isaiah Thomas is $400 more, so you could go that way as well. Irving is a solid bet for 5x value tonight so expect between 42-48 fantasy points.

Yogi Ferrell came out of the gate on fire but he’s plummeted back to Earth since his debut. That’s to be expected from an undersized, undrafted, rookie. J.J. Barea and Seth Curry are in danger of missing this one, so Ferrell would likely be looking at minutes in the low 30’s.

Jameer Nelson is questionable for tonight’s extremely high-scoring game against the Rockets and that bodes well for Emmanuel Mudiay. Will Barton’s absence is just another reason to look Mudiay’s way even though he’s coming off the bench.

Shooting Guard

James Harden has the best matchup of the night amongst the studs and he’s already torched Denver multiple times this season. He’s averaging 63.5 fantasy points through three contests against them and that includes one dud (well, in terms of Harden’s typical output). The O/U for this game is a preposterous 239.5 points. Harden should annihilate the Nuggets tonight.

Gary Harris doesn’t have a ton of upside, but he’s going to play 40 minutes tonight. He’s only $5,600 and he’s nearly a lock for 30 fantasy points. It’s an up-tempo and high-scoring matchup, both benefit Harris.

Devin Booker is in play against the Warriors, but only with moderate exposure. He’s been playing 35-plus minutes even in blowouts so maybe Booker plays most of the game regardless of the score.

Small Forward

Even though it’s the back half of a back-to-back set, LeBron James is an excellent play in both formats. It’ll be near impossible to play LBJ and Westy/Harden but it can be done if some value opens up as we approach lock. This a big game for the Cavs whether LBJ acknowledges it or not so expect somewhere between 55-65 fantasy points. Jae Crowder is also in danger of missing this game.

Matt Barnes and Patrick McCaw are both in play tonight with Andre Iguodala out and Draymond Green out. Both players should see 25-plus minutes and are near rock-bottom price. Barnes has more upside, of course. The matchup with the Suns benefits McCaw but Barnes should still start and see 25-30 minutes.

The Suns are focusing on improving their young players and T.J. Warren is one of them. He should see between 35-40 minutes tonight against the Warriors and he’s been killing it lately. It’s fair to expect 33-39 fantasy points from Warren.

Power Forward

Draymond Green’s absence warrants attention to multiple cheap players on the Warriors. Aside from the two I just mentioned, David West is also an intriguing play. The Suns could keep this one close due to the Warriors injuries but either way, West should see some extra burn.

Wilson Chandler is an interesting GPP option with Kenneth Faried currently listed as questionable. He’s had back issues in the past so it’s fair to assume he’ll sit this one out. Chandler could explode at relatively low ownership.

Kevin Love is an excellent play tonight and rostering two Cavs tonight seems wise. I’ll likely go with Love-LBJ and I recommend doing the same. Love has great history against the Celtics and he finally seems ready to log heavy minutes again.

Center

I typically love the center spot but I’m really not a fan of it tonight. As a dice roll, feel free to play either Javale McGee or Zaza Pachulia. They both could absolutely kill you so I wouldn’t do it anything other than a cheap GPP. With the injuries and chance of a blowout, one of these guys could crush value. It’s nearly impossible to guess who it may be, though.

Nikola Jokic is a solid play against the Rockets. He’s a bit hard to predict in terms of when he will completely go off, but there’s not many matchups better than this one for Jokic. He’s a stud, but it may difficult to squeeze him into your lineups.

DeAndre Jordan could serve as a contrarian play in tournaments. Few around the industry will be on Jordan. He has 20-20 upside, even though we haven’t seen that potential it quite some time. At just $7,100, Jordan has solid upside and he should be low owned.
