Example lineups will be provided for tonight’s evening slate only.  We have four games today, but split between the afternoon and evening.   Below is a quick breakdown of all the games.  All lineups will be gpp based.  Good luck!

Early Games:

Milwaukee @ Miami  -2  T: 205    New Orleans -1.5 @ New York T: 218

The two afternoon games feature the first matchup of the season for the Bucks vs Heat, and a rematch of a late December game where the Pelicans beat the Knicks 105-103.

In the first game, the Heat should have James Johnson back from his one game suspension, with both Tyler and Justise checking in as GTD.  The Heat have been playing great, winning six straight games, with production coming from roughly different players each game.  Hassan Whiteside makes for a nice, cheaper center option than Cousins tonight.  He now has three straight double doubles after not recording one since late November.  He also has a combined 10 blocks over those three games.  Goran Dragic would be the other top player to target from the Heat as a top priced early slate PG, with Wayne Ellington as a cheap SG option. The Bucks of course are led by Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is $4.8K priced above the next highest SF on FD tonight, and $3.7K on DK.  He hasn’t been over 40 DK points in three straight games now, and is likely a fade for me today. I don’t mind the Bucks today, but Malcolm Brogdon would be my top target for them as a salary relief option. He has at least 24 DK points in nine out of his last ten games, with double digit FGA in five straight games.

The second early game starts a few hours later, and hopefully there are no late scratches.  DeMarcus Cousins (63 DK pts)  and Anthony Davis (52 DK pts) combined for 60 points, and 28 boards in the December game, and prefer both of them over Giannis tonight.  The good news with DK is that you could fit Whiteside, as well as one of the Pelican bigs, as both of them are PF/C options.  On FD, I would suggest having a lineup with Cousins, and one with Whiteside.  I’m not fully ready to give up on Rajon Rondo, but would rather target Jrue Holiday as a third Pelican.  He’s been holding his own while Rondo struggles, producing at least 34 DK points in three straight games.  On the Knicks side, you could go Kristaps Porzingis over Davis to save some salary today.  Kristaps’ production was much better with Hardaway on the floor, and went for 30 actual against Davis in the first matchup between them this season.  Hardaway is still on a minutes restriction, which leaves Jack as a higher risk option.  Beasley only played 16 minutes last game, and is still priced way too high on FD.  I’d rather target Kyle O’Quinn, who has at least 20 DK points in five out of his last six games, and went for 18.5 DK points in only 15 minutes the first time these teams met.

Evening Games:

Indiana -4 @ Phoenix  T: 218     Portland @ Minnesota -6  T: 213

While the early slate has three players priced at over $10K today, the evening slate does not have a player priced over $9.5K on either site tonight.  The slate does feature plenty of solid fantasy options, with a stars and scrubs route being very much in play. Please note that the slate starts a hour later tonight, and there are still plenty of players with an unknown status as of this morning, and will update any status in the early evening.

In the first game, Turner remains out for the Pacers, but we have Domantas Sabonis listed as questionable for tonight.  He’s the top priced PF on both main of the main sites tonight.  If he can’t play, I expect Lance Stephenson to receive the bump more than Al Jefferson.  Thaddeus Young would also be in play.  Victor Oladipo was held in check vs the Cavs, but makes for a top option tonight.  I’ll likely be paying up for others tonight if the Pacers play tonight with a thin lineup.  On the Suns side, Devin Booker is cheaper than Oladipo, and has taken on more of a point guard role lately for the Suns.  CJ works for cheaper on DK, but on FD, I’ll take Booker in the #1 SG spot.  While Chriss is likely to sit again tonight, the status of Jackson may not be determined until later today.  If he is out, Dragan Bender remains a great value play.  He has produced 43 and 32 DK points as a starter over his last two games. The final Suns player I like tonight is TJ Warren.  He has at least 21 actual points in eight of his last ten games, and will continue to play big minutes for the Suns while Chriss is out.

The late game of the evening should be a good one tonight, and best game to target.  The T-Wolves allowed 108 points to the Knicks in their last game, but that was the first time in eight games that they allowed over 100 points.  They’ve won their last four games by an average of 18 points, and are peaking right now. Jimmy Butler checks in as a top option tonight.  He didn’t need to do much last game due to Towns blasting off, but he went for 37 actual, and 57 DK points in the first game vs Portland.  Karl-Anthony Towns finished an assist shy of a triple double last game, but has double doubles in eight straight games.  The matchup isn’t the greatest, but prefer him over Nurkic tonight.  Taj Gibson and Andrew Wiggins both are in play for gpp’s tonight, but may go a different route.  Portland started Lillard, McCollum, and Napier in their last game when Turner sat out.  His status is unknown tonight, and with Napier’s price back in the value territory, he makes for a nice salary relief  play.  He went for 37 FD points in his last game starting next to Lillard and CJ.  Damian Lillard would be my top Portland player to pay up for tonight.  He looks to be healthy again, as he has a combined 52 points, 16 assists, and 5 steals over his last two games.
