NBA Injury Report:  Week of November 14

This is a weekly report of recent NBA player injuries, as well as players returning from injury this week.

Boston:  Al Horford traveled with the Celtics and will be making his return this week, possibly as soon as Monday after missing six games due to a concussion.  Jae Crowder will continue to be sidelined this week.

Brooklyn:    Isaiah Whitehead remains under concussion protocol, but is expected to be back this week.  Jeremy Lin’s hamstring will keep him out again this week.

Cleveland:   J.R. Smith missed Sunday’s game with a sprained ankle and is considered questionable for Tuesday’s game.

Dallas:    Dirk Nowitzki has been upgraded to “questionable to play” for Monday after missing the past three games due to an Achilles issue.  Deron Williams remains out for Monday and is considered doubtful for Wednesday with his nagging calf injury.

Denver:  Both Darrell Arthur and Gary Harris should be considered day-to-day this week, but Will Barton will remain out until at least the end of November.

Houston:  Patrick Beverley is set to make his season debut this Wednesday or Thursday but remains out for Monday’s game.  He will, more than likely, be on a minutes-restriction to help ease him back.

Indiana:    Paul George missed Saturday’s game with an ankle issue and is considered day-to-day heading into tonight’s game.

Memphis:  Tony Allen has missed the last two games with a groin injury and is considered a game time decision.

Miami:  Goran Dragic will miss Monday, his second-straight game with an ankle injury, and will be considered day-to-day for the rest of the week.  Wayne Ellington has not been cleared yet and will not return this week.

Minnesota:  Zack LaVine has a sore right knee which kept him out Sunday and is unclear on if he will play in their next game Tuesday.  Brandon Rush is also questionable to return Tuesday while Shabazz Muhammad, who was also out Sunday, remains day-to-day.

New Orleans:  Jrue Holiday is expected to return to the court as early as Wednesday, but Friday seems more likely.  Anthony Davis left Saturday’s game briefly with back concerns, but re-entered the game.  While reports state he will play Monday, keep an eye out in case the Pelicans decide to give their star an extra few days to rest.

Phoenix:  Tyson Chandler has rejoined the team after being away for personal reasons.

Portland:  Al-Farouq Aminu will be out a few weeks due to a calf strain suffered last week.

Utah:  George Hill, Derrick Favors, and Boris Diaw are all questionable for a return to action Monday.  Hill has missed the last four games with a thumb issue and Diaw has been out since the third of November.  Favors left Saturday’s game with knee soreness.

Washington:  Bradley Beal has missed two-straight games with a hamstring issue.  The Wizards do not play again until Wednesday which will afford Beal a few extra days of rest.
