Please note that I did not list any players from the Padres/Rockies game, but the game is definitely in play.  With two lefties on the mound there, the righty bats would be the top targets, making the lefty ones sneaky GPP plays.  There are still 4 other teams outside that game with implied run totals of over 5 in the Red Sox, Blue Jays, Nationals, and Cubs.  The Red Sox have some cheap bottom of the lineup options that could be huge for your GPP’s.  Good luck!

Catcher

I usually like to not take a chance with catchers on Sundays.  Too many times Sunday’s equal rest days, but willing to roll with Buster Posey playing in the Sunday night game.  He gets the lefty match up in Urias, who has not pitched well at all yet.  Wilson Ramos would be my other top cash targets if in the lineup.  Ramos is 3-3 vs Morgan with a HR, and Washington has an over 5 implied run total today.   For GPP’s, I think both Evan Gattis and Tyler Flowers make for nice low owned targets.  Moore has given up 2 HR’s in each of his last 2 games, and Gattis has the power you want for tournaments.  Flowers is a higher risk play, but went deep last night, and a hotlanta will be prone to some deep shots again today.

First Base

I feel that first base today should be site specific.  Mike Napoli and Adrian Gonzalez would be my top targets on FD and Aces.  Napoli is 4-8 with 2 HR’s vs Duff and will be my cash game FD play.  Gonzalez would be an option for 4:05 and later games, and has taken Peavy deep 3 times.  On DK though, Napoli costs more than both Anthony Rizzo and Paul GoldschmidtRizzo has the better match up, but both are in great spots.  Sanchez has pitched well with good numbers vs the O’s, but Chris Davis has homered in 4 straight and is 4-6 with a homer off of Sanchez.

Second Base

Second base is pretty weak today I feel.  The safe cash game play would be the Coor’s game. I also like once again Brain Dozier.  He continues to hit well, and has taken Porcello deep 3 times.  For tournaments, I’ll probably be saving some money with Logan ForsytheHe is 6-13 off of Kuechel, but still more of a GPP over cash game play. Jean Segura and Neil Walker are both in plus match ups, and make for nice mini stack combos for their teams.  Not listed above, but if punting, I do like Josh Rutledge for the Red Sox.

Third Base

Outside of outfield, I think third base will have the highest Coor’s exposure today, and recommend that play.  If looking elsewhere, Kris Bryant and Anthony Rendon are both threats to go deep todayfor their high scoring teams at a cheaper price.   If looking to ride the hot bat, that would be Martin Prado’s 11 hits over his last 5 games including 4-5 last night.

Shortstop

Xander Bogearts continues to be the SS plug and play, but more inclined to use him on FD while Aledmys Diaz makes for a nice SS play on DK again just like yesterday.  Javier Baez is a nice cheaper option that has power, but will only be used in mini Cubs stack for me.  If Adeiny Hechavarria if in the leadoff spot, I’m ok with using him in both cash and GPP’s.

Outfield

I didn’t want to have too many outfielders listed, but there are too many in play to speak about, and that’s not including the Coors game.  I think OF today should be more of your personal preference.  With the multitude of options available in great mach ups, I feel like there won’t be any players over 50% owned.  The only one I could think of considering a “must” is Ezequiel CarreraHe is leading off again, and is 2-3, both doubles, off of Jimenez.  Jay Bruce, Dexter Fowler, and Jason Heyward may also be popular plays, but top guys I like that will be low owned would be Khris Davis, Lorenzo Cain, and Yoenis Cespedes.
