I keep hearing Bob Seger’s Night Moves in my head here, except instead of “moves,” I’m singing “stacks.” Stacking looks MUCH better here in the main slate than it did in the early slate. MUCH better.

Full-Game Stack

Texas Rangers at Baltimore Orioles

Oh baby! The game is in hitter-friendly Camden Yards, temperatures are expected to be in the high-80s/low-90s, the implied run total is 10, the starting pitchers are uber-trashy and both teams have some big boppers on the roster. The funny thing is, if you look at the team wOBA numbers against lefties and righties, you’d see that both teams struggle against what they’re facing. The Orioles have been horrible against southpaws in particular. However, Martin Perez is hot trash and right-handed batters are destroying him. I’m all-in on the likes of Manny Machado, Jonathan Schoop and Adam Jones. Hell, throw in Tim Beckham, Mark Trumbo and Danny Valencia too! Whatever you can do to make it work, price-wise, you should.

On the other side, I’m gobbling up lefty Rangers bats in a hurry. Shin-Soo Choo remains an on-base machine, and I’m using him alongside Nomar Mazara, Rougned Odor, Ronald Guzman and Joey Gallo. Baltimore starter Yefry Ramirez is allowing a .385 wOBA to lefty hitters this season, so if you can get a thick Orioles game-stack in and scatter in some of these Rangers lefties, you’ll be super-psyched.

Of course…you should expect this to be a super-chalky game-stack. I couldn’t possibly be alone in seeing just how tasty this looks, even with a Coors game in-play.

Other Stacks to consider:

The Coors Effect – I am definitely looking at both the Rockies and the Mariners today with a match-up between Jon Gray (read: hot trash) and Wade LeBlanc. When LeBlanc faced the Rox on July 8, he allowed four runs over six innings, including three home runs. And that was in Seattle. Gray, who was banished to the minors two weeks ago, got an emergency call-up and should get slapped around pretty well. Righty Rockies and Mariners lefties are the premium, but with an implied run total of 12 for this game, you should consider everyone in-play and very chalky.

Chicago Cubs – The Cubbies will face right-hander Luis Perdomo who has looked atrocious in the six starts he’s made this season. Both lefties and righties are beating the snot out of him and while he hasn’t allowed more than one home run yet, he’s pitching to a crazy amount of contact, he’s walking a bunch of guys and when he gets lit up, it gets real bad, real fast. I’m loving the lefty bats of Anthony Rizzo, Kyle Schwarber and even Jason Heyward.

Oakland A’s – Some folks are going to target against Brett Anderson, but I’m looking at the other side here and feel like the A’s can post a strong day against Jeff Samardzija. The Shark didn’t look to impressive in his return from the DL and he didn’t look all that strong in his rehab starts either. Give me lefty Matt Olson in the middle of that lineup and if you can add in the likes of Jed Lowrie and Dustin Fowler, you could be living it up on easy street. I would expect this to be a low-owned option, so enjoy!
