QUARTERBACKS

Drew Plitt (Ball State) Opp BUFF ($6.3K)

Plitt is not having a great season averaging only 6.2 yards per attempt with a 65.7 passing grade. The veteran’s 16:5 TD/INT ratio isn’t all that bad, but he is averaging only 188.4 yards passing a game. On the positive side he is facing one of the worst secondaries in the MAC as Buffalo is the third worst graded secondary in the nation. Plitt has three main targets- Justin Hall (questionable after missing last week); Jayshon Jackson and Yo’Heinz Tyler.

Kaleb Eleby (Western Michigan) Opp @NIU ($7.2K)

WMU is a passing offense- 254.3 yards through the air per game. Eleby is the leader and completes 62.4% of his passes while throwing for 2,777 yards and 16 touchdowns with just five picks. He also has run the ball in for five more scores. Eleby’s three main targets are alpha receiver Skyy Moore, Jaylen Hall and Corey Crooms.

Others to Consider:

Rocky Lombardi (NIU) $7.5K

RUNNING BACKS

Dylan McDuffie (Buffalo) Opp @BALL ($7.1K)

McDuffie is coming off a 125 yard and one touchdown day against NIU last week. He needs just 18 rushing yards to reach the 1,000-yard mark and is third in the MAC in rushing at 982 yards. Most of Buffalo’s success comes on the ground as the team is averaging nearly 200 yards per game (184) and McDuffie is the lead horse averaging 5.2 yards per carry.

Carson Steele (Ball State) Opp BUFF ($6.6K)

I wouldn’t be surprised if both teams try to keep the ball on the ground as much as possible tonight with the low temps expected in DeKalb. Steele is a true freshman that comes in on a tear as he is averaging 108.6 yards per game on the ground over his last five contests. There is bowl eligibility on the line here and don’t be surprised if he is leaned upon against the nations 115th ranked rushing defense.

La’Darius Jefferson (Western Michigan) Opp @NIU ($4.5K)

The Broncos have a two-headed monster on the ground with Sean Tyler and Jefferson. They have split carries all season long and both are nearing the 1,000-yard mark. Tyler has run the ball 147 times for 889 yards (6.0 YPC) with eight touchdowns while Jefferson has 175 carries for 766 yards (4.4 YPC) and 10 touchdowns. Both are strongly in play here against a Northern Illinois rush defense ranked 116th in the country allowing 210.3 yards per game with Jefferson being the top value at only $4,500.

Others to consider:

Sean Tyler (WMU) $6.2K

Jay Ducker (NIU) $5.2K

Clint Ratkovich (NIU) $4.9K

WIDE RECEIVERS

Skyy Moore (Western Michigan) Opp @NIU ($7.3K)

Moore is the team alpha as he leads the squad in receptions (79), yards (1,050) and touchdowns (6). Those 79 catches lead the MAC and he’s second in the conference in yards receiving- one of only two to top 1,000 yards. Big play ability in big moments but a little concern that WMU pounds the rock on a bad NIU rush defense

Trayvon Rudolph (Northern Illinois) Opp WMU ($7.7K)

If WMU relying on the ground give you concern, then Rudolph is the other top pay up. Over the last four games he has 657 yards on 32 receptions and six touchdowns. More importantly he also ran three times last week for 94 yards showing that they want their stud involved in all aspects of the game.

Quian Williams (Buffalo) Opp @BALL ($5.4K)

The grad transfer is playing his last collegiate game tonight and he leads the team with 61 receptions and 805 yards. Buffalo has an affinity for the run game but don’t be surprised to see some balls going William’s way in the final game narrative especially against a defense allowing 251.5 yards in the air per game.

Yo’Heinz Tyler (Ball State) Opp BUFF ($5.0K)

WR1 Justin Hall missed last weeks game and his status for tonight is uncertain. If he is out again lock in Tyler at what would be a cheap WR1 price of $5,000. If Hall does play and we have info that he’s not limited, then he becomes the top WR of the slate on senior night as he is college football’s active receptions and receiving yards leader plus has 11 touchdowns (five as a receiver and six as a rusher).

Others to consider:

Jaylen Hall (WMU) $4.8K

Corey Crooms (WMU) $4.2K

Cole Tucker (NIU) $5.6K

Jayshon Jackson (BALL) $4.7K

Jamari Gassett (BUFF) $3.7K
