PrizePicks Prop Selections

Leomonster - Under 39.5 Kills (Maps 1-2) vs. INTZ

The winner of this match-up will move on to the playoffs of this event, while the losing team is eliminated. This tournament has a small prize pool in terms of money, but there are also RMR points at stake, and only one South American team with the most RMR points will qualify for the PGL Major Stockholm. MIBR is currently in first place in the South American RMR standings, but Bravos are not far behind, and a playoff run could help secure their spot in the major. This match-up should be a breeze for them as it has been in the past, though MITHPUTTINI has looked good as a stand-in for INTZ, which is a new factor to consider for this current series. I think Bravos sweep 2-0 here, and at least one of the maps could end up being done & dusted rather quickly, so I do not see Leomonster having many opportunities for kills, plus the projected map pool looks weak for him.

The last two times these teams played, Bravos chose Overpass as their map pick, and it seems logical that they would go for it again here. Leomonster had 17 kills on Overpass when these teams played on June 29th and had 15 kills on Overpass at their meeting on July 18th.  The more recent match-up was a more competitive series, and Leomonster’s 15 kills came in 26 rounds played, which is only about 0.58 kills per round. In the past month, Bravos have played Overpass 11 times and Leomonster has been the worst on his team with a 1.01 Rating. He is also the only member of the team to have a negative K/D ratio on Overpass along with a -25 K/D Difference and 0.65 kills per round during that time.

INTZ chose Dust2 the past two times, and I do not expect them to change that up considering they did win it once, though the most recent time they got blown out, 6-16. Leomonster had 12 kills on Dust2 when these teams played on June 29th and had 17 kills on Dust2 at their meeting on July 18th. Sure enough, Leomonster has the lowest K/D ratio on his team on Dust2 across six maps played in the past month along with a -8 K/D Difference and 0.66 kills per round during that time. He does have a slightly higher Rating than his teammate WOOD7 for this sample (1.05 vs. 1.00), but this is another map that does not look favorable for Leomonster. 39.5 Kills is too high of a number for Leomonster in general, plus this spot looks favorable for the under with the projected maps and the fact that this could be a quick series for Bravos as a (-600) moneyline favorite.

detr0ittJ - Over 36.5 Kills (Maps 1-2) vs. DETONA

I like this pick a little bit less than the first since we have less data to use, but I do feel pretty confident in detr0ittJ to go over 36.5 kills with the AWP in this spot. Once again, the winner of this match-up will move on to the playoffs of this event, while the losing team is eliminated. Neither of these teams are really in consideration for the South American RMR standings, which makes me like Black Dragons a bit more as a (+180) underdog. The map pool is not as clear for this series, but I think that Black Dragons will keep this a competitive series and I have them winning at least one map.

DETONA picked Inferno against Keyd on Saturday, and it would make some sense for them to go back to it after a dominant 16-5 win. Detr0ittJ has only played Inferno once with this roster, but he was impressive with 23 kills and a 1.29 Rating in a 16-13 victory against Bears. He previously played the map three times with FURIA Academy in 2021, and had 17, 24, and 14 kills. However, the 14 kill performance was during his very first best-of-three with FURIA Academy, and he also seems to have a more comfortable role on Inferno now with Black Dragons in terms of rotations.

Black Dragons have only played one best-of-three with this roster, and they picked Nuke against KG Network for that series, which resulted in a 13-16 loss. Their T side was pretty strong, so I do not think they would be worried about giving their opponents their choice of side by picking into Nuke, though I could see them going for a map like Dust2 instead, where they just had success the other day. Detr0ittJ has played Nuke three times with Black Dragons, and he has a 1.15 Rating with 0.75 kills per round across those three maps. He struggled against Sharks with only 13 kills, but they are one of the best teams in the region and this should be an easier match-up. He had 24 kills against KG Network on Nuke, and he even had 17 kills in 18 rounds in a 2-16 loss against Bravos back when he first joined the team. Dust2 would be another strong map for detr0ittJ considering he just had 19 Kills with a 1.19 Rating in a 16-13 win against KG Network on Friday. 36.5 Kills is too low of a projection for detr0ittJ if this series stays competitive, and I think Black Dragons even have a decent chance to win, so the over looks like a strong play.
