PrizePicks Prop Selections

  • dupreeh (Astralis) - Over 38.5 Kills (Maps 1-2)

We saw dupreeh struggle recently at IEM Summer with a 0.88 Rating and 0.57 kills per round across five maps played, and a big part of that had to do with him being forced into the primary AWP role with device leaving to join NiP. At IEM Cologne, gla1ve is now sharing those responsibilites with dupreeh, which allows dupreeh to use the AWP in positions that he prefers, while still doing plenty of rifling. At this event, he has a 1.06 Rating with 0.72 kills per round across seven maps played, and he clearly looks more comfortable on the server now that he is not the only one holding the AWP. Astralis sometimes like to get tricky with their map pick, and we even saw them pick Ancient against NAVI, which resulted in a 7-16 loss. VP should ban Nuke, so Vertigo makes the most sense for Astralis in this spot, especially considering Virtus.pro have lost on that map eight of their last nine times played. Vertigo has been one of dupreeh’s best maps with a 1.19 Rating and 0.78 kills per round in the past three months across five maps played. He should be back in his typical lurk role for this map, and I think he will have a huge day overall regardless of his team's result, though Astralis should be a favorite on Vertigo if it is played. I think that dupreeh will continue to trend up as he adjusts to his role post-device, and I see plenty of upside on the over for this projection.

  • Ax1Le (Gambit) - Over 41.5 Kills (Maps 1-2)

This should be a good spot for Ax1Le based on the projected maps, and I think FaZe can keeps things just close enough for Ax1Le to put up some monster numbers. Mirage has been FaZe’s strongest map, and it is probably the best option for their map pick even though Gambit have dominated Mirage with a 15-4 W/L record across 19 maps played in the past three months. There are just not any weaknesses for Gambit in the map pool, so I think that FaZe should stick to a map that plays to their own strengths. Ax1Le has been excellent on Mirage with a 1.21 Rating and 0.75 kills per round during that time, and he has been consistent with a six map streak of having a Rating of at least one. FaZe should ban Vertigo which means Gambit will have to decide on a different map pick, with Overpass or Inferno making the most sense, though Gambit like Dust2 as well. I am predicting Overpass, where Ax1Le has been the best on his team with a 1.33 Rating and 0.82 kills per round across 10 maps played in the past three months. Inferno has been a very similar success story for Ax1Le with a 1.32 Rating and 0.82 kills per round across 15 maps played in the past three months, so that map would also be great for the over. If FaZe can keep even one of these maps slightly competitive, then I think Ax1Le should hit his over easily, so I see tremendous upside here.
