Welcome back to the Fantasy Alarm NBA DFS Value Vault! It is excellent to have NBA back, and for this wonderful Saturday we are gifted a five-game slate that begins mid-day at noon! Just a reminder, this value article is meant to suggest player options that may have a short-price, or are under-valued in terms of their pricing due to potential match-up, potential extended run/opportunities, etc. It is not intended to follow a salary-range guideline like “Players under $7k salary or such. Let’s get to it!

DRAFTKINGS
Brandon Ingram ($7,800) – I really like the price on Ingram here tonight. I don’t exactly love the match-up he will face against the Clippers; however, we know with Zion still on a minute’s restriction of “three-minute bursts” this will allow Ingram to once again be the main focal point of this up-tempo offensive attack for the Pelicans. In the Pel’s first game of the restart, they played a genuinely good defensive Utah Jazz team where Ingram went for 23 points, eight rebounds, 0 assists, and a block, good for 35.5 DK fantasy points. The zero assists were pretty concerning, however, fear not as he was averaging roughly 4.5 assists per game before the shut-down, so I feel that goose-egg was just an anomaly for this first game back. Ingram was actually second in terms of usage rate in the Jazz game with a 27.9% usage, only next to JJ Redick and his 28.4%. Also, Ingram’s numbers versus the Clips in the earlier season were very admirable, as he averaged 37.9 mpg, a 26.9% usage rate, 22.5 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 5.5 apg, 0.5 spg, and 0.5 bpg. All things considered here, I like the smallish price on Ingram, and I believe he should be somewhat contrarian tonight as most will likely not want to roll him out against the Clippers.

Reggie Jackson ($4,100) – Not really sure where DraftKings, or FanDuel for that matter as he is listed at the same price on both for tonight, got this pricing for Jackson for his clash against the Pelicans tonight. You may see a pattern here, and it is that this game should have a nice tempo with two fast-paced teams in the league. Reggie played 34 minutes on opening night for the Clippers compared to Pat Beverly’s 16, as they said they are “easing” Bev back into the game. Well, this is great news for Jackson, because if he is going to see 30+ minutes a night while they easy Pat Bev in, we will absolutely smash that roster button on Reggie here. The Pelicans continue to be a team that struggles to defend the Guard position, and primarily the PG spot as they were (still are) allowing the most fantasy points to the spot on the season. On a team with Kawhi and PG, Reggie was still able to record a 21.1% usage rate for the opening game against the Lakers. He didn’t show much in terms of quantity of fantasy points, however, he did shoot 3-for10 from the field and only made one of four three-point shots, but he also accrued six rebounds and four assists to go with his 10 actual points on the night. Price is just silly here, and as long as Pat Bev sees less than 20 minutes, Reggie should continue to get heavy run, and in an absolute stud match-up against the Pel’s.

Jordan Clarkson ($3,900) – Another price that just kind of makes you scratch your head after seeing the opener for the Jazz. Clarkson was the leading scorer with 23 actual, while also chipping in five rebounds, three assists, and two steals against the Pelicans. Not to mention the fact that he saw 32 minutes on the floor, while also carrying the highest usage rate on the team by a good margin at 28.2%. The Jazz will most definitely need his scoring prowess to continue with the void in their offensive scheme that was left by Bojan Bogdanovic for the restart. Clarkson gets another friendly match-up tonight as the Jazz meet up with the Thunder in the bubble for their second game of the restart.

FANDUEL

Norman Powell ($5,300) – Decided to go with Powell on FanDuel due to his smaller price, but I don’t mind him on DraftKings at $5.9K either to be flat out honest. We know that Powell will see heavy run off the bench for the Raptors just like he was before the league shut down. For the last 15 games that were played during the earlier part of the regular season, Powell was averaging 32 minutes per game, while also carrying the second highest usage rate on the team at 24.4%, only second to Pascal Siakam at 26.3%. Just looking back at his last five games in his game log, another big plus here for FanDuel with how their scoring is, Powell has a total of three blocks and seven steals over a four-game span! That will provide some tremendous upside at his price on FanDuel, not to mention the fact that he poured in 31, 37, 26, 24, and 22 actual points for those prior five games as well. Going to glady take the value price and upside on Powell over on FanDuel today against the Lakers, however, I think he is playable in all formats.

Jae Crowder ($4,400) – Loving this price on Crowder here on FanDuel as well today, as he is around $300 cheaper than DraftKings, so it will save us some salary as well. Crowder continues to be an integral part of this Miami Heat team, and they have been logging him big minutes since they picked him earlier this season. In the 13 games played for MIA, Crowder is averaging 28.7 mpg. The thing about Crowder is he will likely never be the leading scorer, or have the flashiest games, but he does mostly all contributions statistics-wise efficiently and correctly. For Feb-March of the earlier part of the season, Crowder was averaging 10.5 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 2.6 apg, 1.2 spg, 0.5 bpg. So, we can see that he vastly contributes in all categories of the scoring sheet, and that is exactly what we are looking for to boost out lineups with a salary-saver like Crowder today. Most likely wont roll him out due to playing against Denver, but I don’t think you can pass up this price on FanDuel with the minutes he was and should continue to log for the Heat.

Shake Milton ($4,400) – Another price that we will take advantage on FanDuel since he is $5.6K over on DraftKings is on Milton here tonight against the Pacers. It is unknown if Oladipo or Brodgon will play tonight, and quite frankly I don’t think it matters much with Shake being this price and looking like the starting PG for the Sixers mostly during the practices/scrimmages before the restart. Shake was already seeing around 27 minutes a game before the shut-down and was really paving his way into a regular role with the Sixers starters. He notched out double-digit scoring efforts in his last eight of nine games before the break, while also carrying a modest 19.9% usage rate over the team’s prior ten games before the shut-down. As a starter for the Sixers (16 games), Shake averaged 28.2 mpg, 14.1 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 3.6 apg, with 1.2 steals per game as well. The defensive statistics will also boost his value on Fanduel as well. Take the small price on Shake on FanDuel, folks!
