Welcome back to the Fantasy Alarm NBA DFS Value Vault! It is Monday, and we have a medium seven game slate on tap for today! Let’s see where we are at currently on some value…

DRAFTKINGS

1.) Carmelo Anthony ($5,400)- We will take the small price tag on Melo here in a great match up against the Hornets at home. The Hornets are allowing the MOST FPs to opposing PFs over their last 10 games, and we know that Melo will definitely look to take advantage of this fact tonight, especially with POR looking to gain a win after losing a couple games in blow-out defeat. Melo is fresh off a 36.8 FP game, he has taken at least 17 or more FGAs in his last two of three, while also seeing at least 33 or more minutes on the floor in his last three of four as well. He has pulled down seven and eleven boards in his last two of three, and with CHA being one of the WORST rebounding teams in the league; we can assume he will get at least six-to-seven+ tonight. Like the price, love the spot, Melo is worth the value.

2.) Harrison Barnes ($5,000)- The Kings are going through an injury plague at the current moment, with Bejlica and Marvin Bagley being questionable for tonight, along with the reports that starting Center Richaun Holmes will miss 2-3 weeks as well, they are running out of bodies. One player that really doesn’t have to worry much about these injuries affecting his playing time is Harry Barnes, who has played 32 or more mins in his last seven of nine contests. It is also worth noting that he has put up 28, 30, 40, and 25 in his last four home tilts. Tonight, he gets a fairly generous match up with the Magic at home, who have allowed the sixth most FPs to opposing SFs over their last ten. Really nice cash play, but at the $5K flat price-tag, I really don’t mind using him in tournaments as well, as we saw the 40+ FP upside.

3.)  Nickeil Walker-Alexander ($3,600)- With the absence of both Jrue Holiday (Gentry said he has a better shot of returning for this coming Thursday’s game than returning tonight), and JJ Redick , the Pelicans backcourt is a bit depleted. This has allowed for some extended run for Walker-Alexander lately, as he has played 20, 23, and 24 minutes in his last three contests. He has put up 25, 17.3, and 15.3 FPs in those as well, and although we know these totals aren’t mind-blowing, we have to remember he is only $3.6K on DraftKings, and they fact that he has taken eight or more FGAs in those three, while taking a total of 17 three-point shots as well. We know from the very early start of the season, that NAW is going to be a usage player, and he will take shots. This is a great spot in tournaments to take a shot on the upside.

FANDUEL

1.) Dwight Howard ($5,100)- It could be concluded that it is more likely Anthony Davis sits once again tonight, as he over-comes a bruised tailbone. Obviously, his status will need to be monitored, but the Lakers likely won’t rush him back. With AD, out the last two games, Howard has really revved up his production, as he has gone for 35, 41, and 37 FD points in three of his last four, blocking a total of 13 shots in his last four as well, and literally should have at least three double-doubles to his credit in those four as well. Howard will likely be needed more so tonight, as the Cavs come to town and will be running Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson down-low most of the game, and it is noted that the Cavs are allowing the fourth most FPs to opposing Centers over their last 10 as well.

2.) Jarrett Culver ($4,700)- If you haven’t noticed, I have been a big Culver fan over the last week or two, and for good reason, as he has been playing really well and has solidified his role on the starting unit. Culver gets a good match up tonight at home against an exploitable OKC backcourt, and he has played 28 or more mins in his last seven-straight. Not to mention, he has recorded 32 or more FPs in his last three of four, while going for 30 or more FPs in his last five of seven, taking at least 11 or more FGAs in his last seven, AND grabbing at least five or more boards in his last six of seven. Do you see the value here? I do.

3.) Darius Garland ($4,700)- Garland continues to grow into his starting PG role for the Cavs, as they make their way through a bad season. Garland has seen 34 or more minutes in his last seven games straight, while also topping 27 fantasy points in his last three of four. In his last six, he has put up 14 or more real points, while also swiping six total steals over that span as well. Not to mention, the seven or more dimes he has dished out him his last four of six as well. Like the choice over on FD, as the PG list is a spot I can feel that you can afford to pay-down for one of the two required.
