Player Breakdowns:

CPT/MVP

1.) Rudy Gobert C (UTA) $15,900 –

Think last time out against this same Spurs team was all you needed to see to lock Rudy into a CPT/MVP role here. Goby went for 24 points with 15 boards, an assists, three blocks, and two steals across 30 minutes of action in route to a massive 54 fantasy point effort. The Spurs have no answers for Rudy down-low and it was pretty evident last game. I know the Spurs rested many in that game, but the fact still remains. Rudy could easily have a 15-15 game here or better.

2.) Dejounte Murray PG (SA) $14,400 –

I think most will go with DeMar DeRozan here and that is what makes me like Murray a little more here as a contrarian CPT/MVP look. Murray has been excellent as of late going for 61, 57, 48, and 30 fantasy points in his last four-straight contests, while going for 30+ fantasy points in seven of his last eight games played. He has taken on a hefty role in this Spur’s rotation as one of the main go-to players and has recorded a double-double with boards in two of his last four games, including a triple-double against Miami three games ago.

MID-TIER

1.) DeMar DeRozan SF (SA) $10,200 –

I won’t fault anymore for taking DDR for a CPT/MVP spot, but you will be playing the chalk so know that. DDR went for 40 fantasy points in this same match up just a few nights ago with 22 points, one board, six dimes, three steals and a block in 33 minutes of action. He has gone for 40+ fantasy points in four of his last five games while playing at least 32 or more minutes.

2.) Jordan Clarkson PG/SG (UTA) $9,400 –

Clarkson is a dead give away here for tonight as we know he usually fills in for either Mitchell or Conley and both are out tonight. Clarkson has seen his minutes gradually rise with the absence of those two and has played 29, 33, and 34 minutes over his last three games while putting up 28, 24, and 34 fantasy points as a result. The 34 fantasy points were also against this Spurs squad where Clarkson dropped 16 actual with six boards, five dimes, and two steals.

3.) Bojan Bogdanovic SF/PF (UTA) $9,000 –

I think Bojan could be a sneak CPT/MVP play in tournaments here tonight as he has been lighting up the score sheet lately with the Jazz missing some key players. Bojan has topped 29 fantasy points in his last four straight- and last five of six games played while seeing 29+ minutes in all of those as well. He has seemed to have found his shot lately as he has scored at least 22 actual in five of his last six as well. Hopefully, he keeps it rolling tonight.

VALUE

1.) Rudy Gay SF/PF (SA) $4,400 –

Gay has been called upon a decent amount lately and it shows in his last two games that went for 38 and 35 fantasy points. Gay saw 36 minutes with most of the Spurs sitting against the Sixers, but only needed 23 minutes in this game against the Jazz last time out to put up 35 fantasy points on 17 points, seven boards, an assist, two steals and two blocks. Not sure we can rely too heavily on Gay, but he has scored in double-figure actual points in his last six-straight.

2.) Georges Niang PF (UTA) $4,000 –

Niang is getting some extra run on the wing with the Jazz depleted in the backcourt and has made some nice run with his extended minutes latey. Niang  has scored at least 16+ fantasy points in six of his last seven games, and has seen 22+ minutes in his last five-straight games. He should continue to see decent minutes off the bench with the Jazz missing a few players.
