The replacements continuing doing their thing last week. We even got a few more names to add to the late-season help list. Keep in mind weather is likely to be a factor in many outdoor games this time of year. That can mean more rushing but less offense. Best of luck in your playoff push.

Rashaad Penny , RB SEA - The Seahawks turned to Penny, and not Chris Carson , to close out their messy win in Philadelphia. A big part of that was Carson putting the ball on the ground twice more. The staff has little choice but to shift work Penny’s way. For his part, Penny showed the rushing brilliance that earned him a first-round draft value two years ago. His arrow is pointing up in an offense that has carries to spread around.

Benny Snell, RB PIT - With James Conner out the heavy lifting was Snell’s to do. He took 21 carries for 98 yards. With the team turning to Devlin Hodges at QB the rushing attack will be the focus of the offense. It doesn’t sound like Conner will be back and that leaves Snell as the main rusher with Jaylen Samuels getting the passing downs another week.

Jonathan Williams , RB IND - Williams made the most of his continued audition, dominating the snaps (67%) and producing a 26-104-1 day. If the Colts can stay in games they will lean on the run game and that offensive line. Jordan Wilkins remains a threat and Nyheim Hines gets the passing work. Those don’t scare me nearly as much this week, though.

Miles Sanders, RB PHI - The Eagles heavy rotation has eased the last two weeks out of necessity and Sanders was the beneficiary with 64 snaps in both games. Jordan Howard looms to cut into that. The offense isn’t exactly humming so Sanders’s versatility is likely at a premium for the team. Look for him to remain the lead dog in the pack for a bit longer.

Bo Scarbrough , RB DET - Scarbrough did Scarbrough things pounding himself into the defensive front for 18-98. He played 51% of the snaps and seemed to be the clear early-down preference to Ty Johnson. With Matt Stafford still out the Detroit game plan is likely to heavily involve between the tackles rushing.

Josh Jacobs , RB OAK - The low usage isn’t all that surprising for Jacobs in a blow out on the road. The need to pass and poor weather made it an easy spot to lighten the rookie’s load. I would anticipate a return to form in more competitive weeks. That may not be the case in Kansas City in week 13, however.

Kareem Hunt , RB CLE - Credit to Hunt for producing in a secondary role. He’s been back for three weeks and serviceable in all three. The staff is finding ways to get the ball in his hands while not making him the starter. There are a few plus matchups in the fantasy playoffs if the trend continues.

Tarik Cohen , RB CHI - This was the second straight week we’ve seen Cohen play over 40 snaps. Matt Nagy knows he has to protect Mitch Trubinsky. Cohen’s increased usage has been a part of that.

Derrius Guice , RB WAS - In a rare positive game script Guice played the most snaps by six (26-20). It should have been a good week but all we got was a 10-32 stinker. The offensive scheme is a JV one and will remain that way until the next coach comes in.

Raheem Mostert , RB SF - With Matt Breida on the shelf another week, Mostert filled in for some of his role again. When he’s gotten opportunities Mostert has flashed talent. He’s also had inconsistencies that would be the likely reason his work stays limited.
