Marvin Bagley , PF, SAC ($5,400)

When it comes to riding the hot hand, there is no shame in my game. Bagley proved to be quite the useful player to me last night and we are back again for a return engagement in Sacramento’s starting lineup. While he clearly benefited from the absence of Richaun Holmes and Harrison Barnes , Bagley continues to warrant more playing time. While we do need to verify their statuses ahead of tonight’s game, with Bagley in the starting lineup I am on him regardless. Last night against the Bulls he played 35 minutes and after two straight games of 19 points, he put up 26 points to go along with 11 rebounds for his second straight double-double.

Joe Harris , SF BKN ($5,300)

Regardless of who is the lineup for Brooklyn, Harris continues to be a reliable source of offense this season. That trend will continue tonight against the Clippers as the Nets look to fill the void created as Kevin Durant continues to be sidelined with a hamstring injury. Harris was efficient Thursday night as he made six of seven three-point attempts against the Lakers as he continues his strong shooting from the field. That gave Harris two straight games with greater than 20 points (22 followed by 21) while averaging 4.5 rebounds. We likely can expect another 30 minutes of playing time in what will be a high scoring game (over/under of 235.5) which makes Harris a worthy option.

Donte DiVincenzo , SG MIL ($5,200)

With Jrue Holliday continuing to be sidelined, DiVincenzo logs close to 30 minutes per night and tonight should be a good situation for him. Aside from one game with eight assists, he hasn’t proven to be much of a distributor which means aside from his 5.6 rebounds per game, we are left to rely on his scoring. In his last five games, DiVincenzo has sandwiched a three-game average of 14.3 points with dual five-point efforts. Tonight, he faces the Kings who struggle to play defense in the second game of a back-to-back for Sacramento in a game with an over/under of 237 so I wouldn’t expect a double-digit scoring performance to be a problem.

Brook Lopez , C MIL ($4,300)

If you are looking for salary relief at the center position, albeit with limited upside but a solid floor, then Lopez should be on your radar. We know he is going to play at least 20, but likely closer to 30, minutes per game, and his two blocks and five rebounds establish a solid floor. There are going to be instances when he scores 23 points like he did against Utah a few games ago, but his season average of 10.7 points per game is a more reasonable expectation. At this price, 20 DK points with the room for a little upside is just the value you need at the center position.

Dennis Smith , PG DET ($4,000)

At first glance recommending someone who was scoreless in their most recent game on Friday seems a bit crazy. Spoiler alert, it isn’t, as in 23 minutes, Smith logged both his best game and highest minute total of the season. Yes, Smith did miss all seven of his shot attempts and he is streaky offensively, but he did score nine and 10 points in his two prior games. What really caught my attention though, is that despite his shooting struggles, Smith still put up 23.5 DK points. We know that Smith is going to play and it was nice to see well rounded contributions across all categories with five rebounds, four assists, three steals, and three blocks (don’t expect those again). Had Smith combined his 10 points with that effort, people really would be talking.

Nicolas Batum , SF/PF LAC ($4,800)

Batum returned to action on Friday and played 31 minutes so there shouldn’t be any concerns regarding his stamina. The problem though is that the forward missed all of his field goal attempts and put up just 7.75 DK points. That caused his salary to drop by $600 and here we are to pick up the pieces hoping it was just an isolated incident. While Batum will never be confused with a player who scores in copious amounts, he is averaging just under 10 points per game so far this season. We know it will be a high scoring and fast paced game tonight against the Nets, so reaching 20 DK points shouldn’t be too hard of a lift for Batum who chips in some rebounds and steals along with a block per game.
