UPDATED: William Byron and Kyle Larson will drop to the rear on the pace laps after failing pre-race tech 2x. JJ Yeley is also OUT and Garrett Smithley is replacing him but is not listed on DK or FD.

Phoenix Raceway is one of the more interesting tracks on the NASCAR schedule as there is a dichotomy in play during the races at the track. On one hand, the restarts and the first few laps after along with the few laps before a stage break tend to have chaotic moves made in the dogleg section as drivers will dive all the way down to near the wall to cut as much of the track off as possible and take the shortest way around, however on the other hand, track position is still king even with the six-wide racing at points during the race.

We’ve delved into strategy quite a lot throughout the week with the Podcast and the Track breakdown strategy notes so please read those to see why these drivers are the ones that made the playbook.

Average DFS Points By Position

These charts show the average points scored by starting spot over the last five races at Phoenix regardless of driver in the starting spots. It’s meant to show strategy and not a hard and fast rule to set lineups by.
