By this point in the weekend, you should’ve listened to the podcast, read the Track Breakdown, checked out the DFS Rankings, and finally read through the Playbook so now it’s time to see the core drivers we’re building around for the Pennzoil 400 on Sunday.

The 267 laps around Las Vegas Motor Speedway provide plenty of chances for the drivers to lead laps and get fastest laps but interestingly it’s a bit less of a chance for position differential as that’s typically harder to come by for this track than other intermediates. If you’ve seen the other pieces of content this week you’ll see that there are data points to back up that.

So for cash games, we’re going with one driver to get the dominator points and the rest to gain position differential. For GPPs we need to sell out a bit more for laps led and fastest laps so getting two or three drivers capable of that is a better option while using the rest for position upside drivers.

On FanDuel, laps led aren’t as important as they only garner .1 points per so we’re going to focus on drivers with shots at high finishing positions and position differential at the same time. For cash builds we want drivers with safer floors, or the guys that have a more solid track history here and better recent stats at these tracks. For GPPs we can try for a driver who can lead laps, as they will be nice differentiators for the builds, as well as getting in drivers with riskier histories but good upsides.

In the tables below, the first row of drivers for each site are core plays for Cash builds and the second row are better for GPPs, though the Cash drivers can be mixed in to GPPs as well.
