The second race in the Round of 8 comes to the Lone Star State and the 1.5-mile quad-oval known as Texas Motor Speedway. This track is similar in design to Charlotte Motor Speedway and Atlanta Motor Speedway in terms of shape but in terms of the way it runs, it’s closer to Las Vegas, Charlotte, Atlanta, in terms of lack of ability to pass under green flag conditions generally speaking.

There have been 21 total cautions in the last two races here and an average of 8.2 per race in the last 10 events at the track however even with all of those cautions, there have still been less than five drivers in three of the last five races to move up double-digit spots a race. Position differential will be a balancing act this week as will finding the laps led leader as both will be key to cashing in GPPs and cash games.

For full stats and figures can be found for everyone in the field in the Track Breakdown for the race, Rankings and Projections are available as well and will be updated following any relevant news and inspection results. Also there is a strategy and field breakdown in the Podcast for this week.

These charts are designed to show off the strategy at this track and not necessarily be a hard-and-fast rule to live by when building lineups.
