The cutoff in the playoffs looms after just 500 laps around “The World’s Fastest Half-Mile.” Easy for me to say as I don’t have to drive it, I just get to watch as do you. The race here back in May saw a near-record number of cautions with 17 and this race could be just as crazy as there are several drivers still fighting for a spot in the next round of the playoffs.

The strategy here is to try and get a few laps led leaders in the lineup and then position differential/high finish position guys for the rest of the build. Scores will be high this week as they always are at short tracks but with no clear cut chalk on the slate for the most part, Cash and GPPs can be played pretty evenly for Saturday night.

If you want a full-field breakdown and strategy notes you can listen to the podcast that Dan Malin, Edward Raus, and I put out for this race. You can also check the Track Breakdown for full stats and field breakdown in multiple ways. As always, ask Dan and I questions in the NASCAR chat and follow me on Twitter at @theselzman as well.

Average Points By Starting Spot

Remember these charts show the average points scored based solely on starting spot and not the driver attached to that over the last five races here. They are to give you a visual reference for strategy and not necessarily dictate the starting spots to play.
