NASCAR DFS: Coca-Cola 600 Track Breakdown
Matt Selz has the full track breakdown and Drivers To Watch for this week's race -- the Coca-Cola 600 from Charlotte Motor Speedway.
One of the biggest races of the year is on tap this weekend with the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. This race is in its traditional spot on the calendar being on Sunday of Memorial Day weekend and under the lights for 400 laps of high-paced action. The Coca-Cola 600 is also the longest race of the season at 600 miles making it the best endurance test of a driver and machine on the schedule.
This will be a long race...it’s 400 laps and it’s the only one with four stages which means extra bonus points for the hunt for the playoffs but it also means that fatigue will take a toll on drivers, especially with this recent stretch of races. Listen to my segment on Alarm After Hours from Thursday or on the Fantasy Alarm Show on Friday as well as the podcast that Dan and I will have out to get strategies for how to deal with the fatigue factor.
Qualifying for Sunday’s race will happen on Sunday afternoon on track and so final roster decisions should be made at that point....
