It’s the second race of the playoffs this weekend at Richmond Raceway for short track racing under the lights once more. The Federated Auto Parts 400 will be Saturday night at the Action Track (Richmond’s nickname) and it is scheduled to run 400 laps around the three-quarter-mile track over three stages. Richmond has been the middle race of the playoffs for the last couple of years and it always produces tight, down-to-the-wire finish, like we saw back in April with that final 30-lap run of that race. It’s the longest short track on the schedule and it’s also shaped more like a track twice it’s size than the other short tracks are and has some solid banking on it.
