We’re back baby!

After the off week for the Easter holiday, we get perhaps the most unpredictable race of the year to come back to with a 500-miler around the asphalt surface that comprises Talladega Superspeedway. The mystique and lore surrounding this track are legendary but so are the crashes it’s known for as the term “The Big One” is literally used in the advertising for this race every year.

Opened in 1969, it was purpose-built to be the biggest, fastest, meanest track ever built and it’s pretty safe to say that it accomplished its goal. At 2.66 miles per lap, it’s the longest track on the NASCAR circuit and it is also the steepest banked one too with turns that are banked from 32.4-33 degrees and a Tri-Oval that is tilted...
