Tonight we have a six-game slate on tap after a split slate today. Four of the six games tonight are happening in domed or ones with retractable roofs stadiums so weather won’t be an issue, though in Arizona the roof will be open which gives a bump to bats with the warmer temps outside.

Merrill Kelly , RHP ARI - Kelly has been much better at home this year than on the road and Arizona is at home tonight. Despite the weather concerns tonight helping the bats, the Marlins’ bats haven’t been good of late and on the road especially as they’ve struck out nearly 26-percent of the time with an 82 wRC+. His 2.31 ERA at home came against the Rockies and Padres.

Raimel Tapia , OF COL - Tapia has been hot to start the season and has been leading off nearly every game. He’s also 4-for-6 with a homer off of Luis Castillo in previous meetings with an .833 wOBA. Against RHPs this year he has a .353 wOBA with four homers and Castillo hasn’t exactly been good in any measure and allows a .417 wOBA to LHHs. There’s also the stolen base upside.

Pavin Smith, 1B/OF ARI - Smith has been quite good game in and game out for the Diamondbacks this year and has been leading off for a while. Against southpaws, the left-handed hitting Smith has posted a wOBA better than .350 with a homer and Trevor Rogers hasn’t exactly been unhittable against same handed hitters allowing a .280 AVG and .346 wOBA. The Diamondbacks have also been solid offensively at home.

DraftKings

Logan Gilbert, RHP SEA - Gilbert is making his MLB debut tonight against the Indians and that makes him worth an SP2 option on DK. He’s only $4,000 against an offense that hasn’t been good basically all season and has been no-hit twice already. Gilbert won’t come without risk as he’s likely on a bit of a pitch-limit tonight so the shot at a win bonus might not be there but the strikeout upside is still solid.

Jarred Kelenic, OF SEA - Kelenic is also making his MLB-debut tonight and he’s the stone-cold minimum on DK at $2,000. Plesac has been decent against left-handed hitters but on the road it’s been a different story with an ERA over 5.00 in general and the Mariners’ offense having been good this year. Kelenic should be hitting sixth in the lineup tonight.

FanDuel

Eduardo Escobar , 2B/3B ARI - Escobar has been great at home this year and against LHPs he has a .440 wOBA with three homers. The switch-hitter could hit left-handed tonight to take advantage of the reverse splits Rogers has against left-handed hitters. He is far too cheap on FD hitting in the middle of a good lineup and in a good matchup.

Mitch Haniger , OF SEA - Haniger just keeps launching bombs as the leadoff hitter for the Mariners. In fact, he’s been the best hitter against right-handed hitters in the Seattle lineup and Plesac has allowed a nearly .700 OPS to RHHs not to mention he’s been far worse on the road. Haniger should be in good shape to add to his home run total.
