This race is setting up to be one with perhaps the most amount of ways to build lineups to this point in the season. Due to how the track normally races, the field being setup from the qualifying formula following Talladega, and how the drivers have raced at this distance this year, we can target either position differential in our builds or still go for drivers in the top-10 for laps led.

Cash Strategy: With so many drivers starting in the back of the field who are among the quickest cars on the track at this distance, a popular way to build will be position differential and then trying to separate from the pack with a lower-played driver rather than pure chalk. Speaking of chalk, there will be a lot of it today with Larson and Hamlin and Bowman all starting P20 or worse and Logano starting P29. Eating good chalk today is something we’ll have to do but there are ways to differentiate your cash builds by reading the full playbook.

GPP Strategy: While Kansas is a track that passing can happen and it can be a place where even starting in the back half of the pack isn’t a detriment to leading laps (as we saw here in October of 2019), this weekend there are some cars starting in the top-10 capable of leading early laps and sticking around. It’s easier to get different drivers into the builds in GPPs while still getting some driver with PD upside and the rest with the ability to lead laps or break the slate.

As usual, the first line of each site is the cash core with the second line being the GPP core. For the rest of the builds, check out the playbook plays and analysis
