Marcus CarrMINNMD850035.5
Even though Marcus Carr saves his best performances on his home court at The Barn, it won't deter me from keeping him out of the playbook. Carr has been unreal this year for the Golden Gophers ranking 27th in the nation in scoring (19.9 ppg) and 38th in assists (5.4 apg). For what its worth in his last road game Carr had 18 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists vs Rutgers, good for 34 fantasy points. Also in the first game against Maryland he torched them for 25 points and 7 rebounds, granted that was at The Barn.
Prentiss HubbNDMIA800029.62
Prentiss Hubb is on fire these days for the Fighting Irish, posting at least 30 fantasy points in his last 6 games. Hubb is one of the better all around guards in the country scoring 14.6 ppg, grabbing 3.2 rpg and dishing out 6.1 apg (15th nationally). In his first game against The U, Hubb scored 19 points and dished out 10 assists for a 37.3 fantasy point night.
Franz WagnerMICHWISC790031.00
Franz Wagner's impact is felt all over the court for the Michigan Wolverines, as the sophmore hybrid guard can really fill it up. Wagner is averaging 12 ppg, 7.1 rpg, 3.1 apg, 1.4 spg and 1.2 bpg. His impact in a variety of categories makes him a great play in GPP contests, as he has a low floor. It is worth noting though Michigan is coming off a two week layoff due to Covid,
Jose AlvaradoGTPITT740033.40
Jose Alvarado is a really efficient scoring guard for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Alvarado is shooting 51.7 % from the floor, 42% from 3-point and 86.1% FT, while scoring 17.1 ppg. Alvarado is ranked 90th in the coutnry in effective field goal percentage at 61.1%. Think he is a great play as an alternative amongst the highest priced guards.

Myles CaleSHUMARQ610021.21
When Myles Cale first played Marquette he had 11 points, 4 rebounds and 1 assist. However Cale has really started to emerge as a second scoring option to Sandro Mamukelashvili. Cale has posted double figures scoring in each of his last 6 games, averaging 15.5 ppg in the process. WIth his recent hot streak and drawing a Marquette defense that ranks 129th in KenPom's adjusted defensive efficency, Myles Cale has great value.
Josh ChristopherASUOSU560026.12
Josh Christopher was a game-time decision in this past Thursday's game against Oregon with a leg bruise. He only logged 17 minutes in a blow out loss. However Christopher has been one of the best freshman in the country averaging 14.3 ppg, 4.7 rpg and 1.4 apg, so look fo a bounce back game in this one.
Both GachMINNMD340018.11
Both Gach transferred into Minnesota from Utah seeming to be the side kick to Marcus Carr. It really hasn't panned out that way and Gach was removed from the starting five two weeks ago. In his last game against Purdue, he played a season low 8 minutes and posted 0.00 fantasy points. Not the most glowing recommendation but Gach can play and has the ability to fill up the stat sheet. Its a very high risk play but Gach figures to return to form sooner or later, so consider him for a cash game.

Other Guards to Consider

  • Isaiah Wong- Miami- $8200
  • Xavier Johnson- Pittsburgh- $7700
  • Cormac Ryan- Notre Dame- $6900
  • D’Mitrk Trice- Wisconsin- $6700
  • Eli Brooks- Michigan- $5400

Justin ChampagniePITTGT910043.00
Justin Champagnie is a abloute beast scoring the basketball and cleaning up the glass. Champagnie ranks 11th in KenPom's offemsive rating amongst players with at least a possesion percentage of 24%. On the glass he is even better ranked 1st in the nation in defensive rebound %. Champagnie is a great play in GPP contests, as he has only put up less than 30 fantasy points twice, but keep in mind he is listed as a guard in FanDuel.
Cameron KrutwigLY-ILDRA890030.37
Its not often that you include the same guy in a playbook two days in a row, but with the Missouri Valley doing conference games as home-and-homes over the weekends this is what happens. Krutwig had a solid effort against Drake yesterday posting a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Sandro MamukelashviliSHUMARQ850034.26
Sandro Mamukelashvili ranks 86th in usage % per KenPom and has an offensive rating that is 36th best in the nation. In the first meeting against Marquette, Mamu showed off his well-rounded game with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists.
Moses WrightGTPITT780035.40
Moses Wright, the senior forward from Raleigh, is having a great season for the Yellow Jackets. Wright is averaging 16 ppg, 7.5 rpg and 2.1 apg. Pitt really doesn't have the size and physicality defensively to slow down Wright so think he could be in for a big day.
Aaron WigginsMDMINN750026.44
Aaron Wiggins has been a very steady fantassy performer over the past few weeks. Wiggins has posted at least 24 fantasy points in 4 of his last 5 contests. He also has eclipsed the 30 point mark in 2 of the last 3 games. In his first game against Minnesota this year he put up 8 points, 4 assists and 10 rebounds. In this game expect him to score at least double figures and still make an impact in the assist and rebound department.

Dawson GarciaMARQSHU630024.40
Dawson Garcia is starting to lock up the Big East Freshman of the Year award. The freshman big man is averaging 17.5 ppg in his last 4 games. In the first game against Seton Hall, Garcia had only 8 points but added 12 rebounds. Garcia should have a good matchup against Seton Hall, as they dont have a guy at the 5 spot that can defend the perimeter.
Hunter DickinsonMICHWIS570028.12
Hunter Dickinson's pricetag in this contest is insulting and he is a must play. The reason for the discount is that he does draw a tough matchup with Wisconsin. The Badgers rank 7th in the country per KenPom's adjusted defensive efficency rating. Dickinson was still able to get his in the first time these two met scoring 12 points, getting 6 rebounds and blocking 3 shots. Dickinson is in a bit of a slump only scoring 20 pointsi in his last 3 games but with this price he is worth the play.

Marcus BagleyASUOSU550024.43
You will want to check the injury report on this one but if Bagley returns from an ankle injruy that held him out on Thursday he presents a ton of value. In his first game against Oregon St he was a matchup nightmare scoring 19 points and posting 27.5 fantasy points.

Other Forwards to Consider

  • Jared Rhoden- Seton Hall- $7100
  • Nate Laszewski- Notre Dame- $6800
  • Donta Scott- Maryland- $6000
  • Micah Potter- Wisconsin- $5100
  • Justin Lewis- Marquette- $4100 GTD
