Welcome everybody to the season debut of the NBA DFS Fast Break. By now hopefully you have all read the NBA Coverage article which explains the Fast Break but if you haven't please check that out here: https://www.fantasyalarm.com/articles/JonImpemba/93395/nba-df-seasonal-coverage-2020-21-season/

In short, in past years we have provided example lineups to give you an idea on how to build lineups using the content our analysts have put together throughout the day as well as using our tools and lineup generator. This season we are putting the lineup creation in your hands and providing you with a core set of players for your lineup construction. Now, can you use all the players here to build your lineups? For sure, but the idea is to really set a core and then use the Playbook, Starting Five, Value Vault, Podcast and Live Stream to build your lineups around them.

We also strongly encourage you to use our NBA DFS Lineup Generator when building your lineups. Whether you play just 1 lineups or 150 lineups, the Lineup Generator is a key tool in my lineup building process. By using the Lineup Generator it allows you to visualize the type of lineups that can be created around your selected core and adjust where needed to build your own OPTIMAL lineup.

Now, for tonight's slate. This is quite a doozy with 13 games and a massive amount of players. Setting a "core build" on nights like these is a bit more difficult due to the large player pools and the endless combinations that can be built. That said, I think there are some pretty obvious options for when it comes to building your lineups.

Due to the player pools there is actually a lot of great value options tonight which makes starting your core with the likes of Luka Doncic or Giannis Antetokounmpo is a must. Both are in fantastic matchups with Doncic facing the Suns in a game with a 237 game total while Giannis draws a Celtics team that he has tortured over the past few seasons, including 2019 when in three games he averaged a RIDICULOUS line of 30/15/6 with 2 blocks. Boston did little in the offseason to help stop Giannis and their center signing of Tristan Thompson may not even suit up.

In the mid-tier, I am just a big sucker for both Dejounte Murray and Michael Porter . As explained in the playbook Murray's per 100 possesion and per 36 minute stats are out of this world and he should be in line for a big workload tonight given the Spurs depth at the point guard position this season. If he plays anything less than 30-minutes in a competitive game I will be writing an angry letter to the Spurs organization. As for Michael Porter , we all saw his upside during the NBA Bubble and for those of you who follow me on twitter @jimpemba777 (<< you should follow if you don't) know that I have been a fan of his since he came out of college. If not for the back injury he likely would have been a Top 2 pick and had comparisons to Kevin Durant and last season we saw why, with games where he saw meaningful minutes he gave us double-doubles with three-point shooting and nearly a block and steal per game. He has a chance to be a star in this league and he is expected to be in the starting lineup tonight against the Kings.

Update - With Houston/OKC PPD due to Covid-19, I am moving towards Isaac Okoro as a solid value play now that he has been announced as the starter for Cleveland. The Cavs are without Kevin Porter and Kevin Love tonight and the rookie will have a good shot to play minutes and produce. At the center spot you have both Hassan Whiteside and Nerlens Noel , yes I know Noel is a PF on FanDuel, that said both are strong plays tonight even in limited roles. It was just a few seasons ago we saw Whiteside average a double-double with two blocks while playing 23 minuites a night for the Heat. In a similar fashion we have seen Noel put up double-double upside with blocks in steals in a split role as well. All reports for Noel are that he will start for the Knicks tonight and he is under $4,000 on both sites.

Good luck everybody and let's make some money!
