Boston Celtics (-3) vs Miami Heat

Game Total: 215.5

Heat lead the series 3-2

Game 5 started off slow for Boston with Jimmy Butler and the Heat coming out strong but after the initial blitz the Celtics settled in and really got it going with Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum leading the way while center Daniel Theis had his best game of the postseason with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Duncan Robinson and Goran Dragic both eclipsed 20-points for the Heat while Game 4 hero Tyler Herro struggled, scoring just 14 points.

Please note players below are listed in order of perference. If a player is not listed that does not mean they are a fade.

MVP/CPT

1. Jaylen Brown - Maybe the most consistent player on the Celtics during the entire playoffs. I predicted that Brown would come out more aggressive in Game 5 after he struggled a bit in Game 4 and he came through big time, scoring 28 points over 39 minutes. I also like that of the primary scorers on each team, Brown is the cheapest and therefore offering the best value.

2. Jimmy Butler - Butler was really strong in the first quarter of Game 5 but then became passive throughout the rest of the game and it allowed the Celtics to really take over. I expected him to take over Game 5 and lead Miami into the NBA Finals but that wasn't the case. I think in Game 6 that aggressiveness will hold true throughout the game. He is just due to take off here at some point.

3. Jayson Tatum - I told you in the last playbook that Tatum going for 30/10 was not going to shock me and that is exactly what happened as he finished with 31 points and 10 rebounds. Tatum took over in Game 5 and you just know that he is going to have himself a solid Game 6 regardless of the final outcome.

Mid-Tier

1. Goran Dragic - After being held in check during Game 4, I expected Dragic to bounce back with another 20+ point effort and that is what happened. I see no reason for this trend not to continue as Boston doesn't seem overly worried about Dragic taking over and more concerned with making sure Jimmy Butler doesn't go bezerk. He is a very safe and nice mid-tier play.

2. Bam Adebayo - Bam isn't a cheap mid-tier play but he continues to play well and if you decide to spend down at your captain spot you can certainly go in this direction. Though not as dominant in Game 5 as he has been in the series he still put up 13 points with eight rebounds and eight assists.

3. Kemba Walker - Walker found himself in a bit of foul trouble in Game 5 so his overall production was nothing too exciting but it's also worth noting he played only 28 minutes. He is another rather safe play in my opinion and a player with a nice floor level of production.

Dart Throw

1. Duncan Robinson - Last playbook was the only time I hadn't mentioned Duncan Robinson this series so of course he drops 20 points in his best effort. He remains a dart throw because all he does is shoot three's and if those don't drop then he has a very low floor.

2. Daniel Theis - Did the Celtics find something last game that caused Theis to have a huge game or was it just one of those nights where the stars align? Overall he isn't awful and does have double-double upside with some block potential. If you wanna chase the points here I won't blame you.
