Rafael Devers hit his first home run of the season on Sunday night against the Yankees.
Devers had been struggling offensively and defensively so far in 2020, but he looked sharp in all elements of the game on Sunday, going 2-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored while making a couple of dazzling plays at third base. In one night, his OPS jumped from .532 to .645. Expect more positive regression moving forward.

James Paxton yielded five runs -- three earned -- over three innings Sunday in a no-decision against the Red Sox.
His defense didn't help him much in this one, but the Yankees' offense sure did as New York went on to grab a 9-7 victory in the series finale in the Bronx. Paxton again showed diminished velocity and increased hittability while yielding a home run, two doubles, and four singles over his three unimpressive frames. The 31-year-old left-hander now has a 13.50 ERA through his first two starts covering just four innings. He'll try to settle into some kind of a groove in his next scheduled outing on the road against the Rays.

Xander Bogaerts went 4-for-4 with two home runs, three RBI, and three runs scored Sunday in a loss to the Yankees.
Bogaerts certainly did his part, cranking a two-run shot in the top of the first, an RBI single in the top of the third, and a solo shot in the top of the fifth, but the Yankees managed to out-slug the Red Sox and went on to win 9-7. Bogaerts is up to three home runs, nine RBI, and six runs scored through 10 games played in 2020, to go along with a .333/.371/.667 slash line in 35 plate appearances.

Aaron Judge hit a pair of home runs, tallying five total RBI, in the Yankees' 9-7 victory over the Red Sox on Sunday.
Judge cranked a three-run shot off Matt Hall in the bottom of the second inning and then unloaded for an absolute moonshot in the bottom of the eighth to put the Yankees up for good. The second home run sailed 468 feet and was the sixth-longest homer of Judge's career. The 28-year-old slugger has homered in five straight games and is already up to six home runs (and 14 RBI) through eight total games this season.

B. Brennan - RP
Mariners transferred RHP Brandon Brennan from the 10-day injured list to the 45-day injured list.
Brennan was initially placed on the 10-day IL last week with a left oblique strain, and it's apparently pretty severe. The right-hander had appeared in just one game so far this season for Seattle.

A. Vesia - RP
Marlins placed LHP Alex Vesia on the 10-day injured list.
The team is not announcing a specific injury (or illness) at this juncture. Vesia, 24, allowed two earned runs in two-thirds of an inning in his only appearance so far this season for Miami.

J. Holloway - SP
Marlins placed RHP Jordan Holloway on the 10-day injured list.
There is no specific injury listed alongside the transaction. Holloway made his major league debut in relief last week before the Marlins' season got put on hold amid a nearly team-wide COVID-19 outbreak.

S. Ohtani - DH
Shohei Ohtani was sent for an MRI after experiencing some right arm discomfort during his start Sunday versus the Astros.
Ohtani looked pretty sharp in the first inning before completely losing it in the second. He ultimately allowed two earned runs on five walks over 1 2/3 total innings of work, after failing to record an out in his season debut on the mound last Sunday against the Athletics. The two-way star is sitting on a 37.80 ERA.
