10-Team League

Tyler Glasnow – Glasnow’s ownership has taken a sharp spike over the last week and for good reason as the Ray’s starter is now 3-0 with 21K’s over 17 innings to begin the year. Glasnow was an elite pitching prospect in the Pirates organization but had major control issues when he got to the majors. He was a key piece in the trade that saw Chris Archer go to the Pirates last season and Tampa is being rewarded for their faith in him.  Glasnow has a start against the O’s this upcoming week and this could be your last chance to snag him.

Joe Musgrove – Musgrove has yet to allow an earned run this season while striking out 15 over 15.1 innings. He took a tough luck loss in his last start as he allowed two unearned runs on four hits to the Cubs. He will travel to the American League and face the Tigers in his next start. Detroit does not have an intimidating lineup and we should look for Musgrove to continue what some have predicted to be a breakout season for the Pirates young right-hander.

José Quintana – Quintana was outright dominant in his last start as he tossed seven shutout innings, allowing just four hits while striking out 11 against the Pirates.  The 11 strikeouts give him 22 over 14 innings this season.  His next start will come against the inept Miami Marlins. Consistency has forever been the downfall for Quintana but let’s bite and see if he can keep on rolling in this upcoming favorable matchup.

12-Team League

Max Fried – Some impressive starts by the Braves young southpaw as he has tossed 12 shutout innings while striking out nine against the Cubs and on the road in Colorado. He has a two-start week coming up with his first being at home against the Diamondbacks and his second, closing out the week, on the road against an Indians lineup that is really really bad right now. His ownership has quickly been on the rise and this is possibly your last shot to grab him.

Mike Leake – Leake is far from an exciting pitcher to stream but he has 17 strikeouts over 17.1 innings through three starts this season and will take on the Cleveland Indians in his next outing. The Indians have been dreadful this season and strikeout a ton.  Leake will also get the benefit of a home start here against Cleveland with Seattle being a favorable pitchers park.

Brad Keller -  Keller just went out and dominated the Indians in his last start, allowing just one run on three hits while striking out 10 over 6.2 innings. He has notched a quality start in each outing this season and will draw the White Sox next whom he shutout over seven innings to open the season.

15-Team League

Clay Buchholz -Buchholz was unbelievable for the Diamondbacks last season, going 7-2 with a 2.01 ERA over 16 starts. He landed with Toronto this offseason and in his season debut he allowed just one run on six hits while striking out two over six innings against a feisty Tampa Bay Rays lineup.  His next start will be this upcoming Thursday against the Twins. I am definitely interested in picking him up to see if he can carry over last year’s success.

Mike Minor – Minor has allowed just two earned runs over his last two starts spanning 14 innings. He has allowed 10 hits and has struck out 12 during this stretch. Maybe the most impressive start was his seven-shutout innings against the Astros who normally hammer left-handed pitching. Minor will draw an Angels lineup that is basically just Mike Trout and while limiting him is no small task I’d be willing to take the risk given the way he is throwing the baseball right now.
