Oakland A’s vs Stephen Gonsalves

Gonsalves made his debut on Monday against the White Sox and was shelled for four runs on six hits while walking two over 1.1 innings. Things are going to get much tougher for him in start number two as he faces an A’s team that may be the hottest team in baseball right now with possibly the hottest hitter in the league in Khris Davis . The A’s as a team this season rank third in runs scored, fourth in home runs and eighth in OPS against left-handed pitching.  Stack Oakland with confidence this evening.

Top Options: Khris Davis , Matt Chapman , Marcus Semien , Jed Lowrie

Secondary Options: Stephen Piscotty , Chad Pinder , Mark Canha

Coors Field Stacks (Rockies vs John Gant / Cardinals vs German Marquez )

The price tags are high that is for sure, but I don’t think you can go wrong with a game stack today if you decide to spend down on pitching. The Rockies are sending German Marquez to the mound who would be a Cy Young contender if they only considered road starts but they don’t, and he is absolutely dreadful in Coors this season, going 4-6 with a 6.42 ERA and a 1.74 WHIP over 12 starts. The Cardinals are sending John Gant to the mound who has been OK this season but doesn’t pitch deep into games and doesn’t really strike anybody out which is dangerous in Coors Field. It also means the Rockies will get their shots at the Cardinals somewhat shaky bullpen. Speaking of shaky bullpens, the Rockies bullpen has the third worst ERA at 4.95 this season. We are looking at two starters who aren’t long for this game and two bullpens that are far from shutdown. I guess there is a reason this game has a run total of 11.

Cleveland Indians vs Heath Fillmyer

What is a Fillmyer? Hopefully, today, the answer is somebody who is going to give up a lot of runs to the Cleveland Indians. To be fair, a lot of pitchers have fit that definition this season as the Indians lineup when fully healthy is a wagon. Edwin Encarnación returned from the DL and has already hit three home runs during that span. José Ramírez and Francisco Lindor continue their MVP type seasons and the likes of Michael Brantley and Yonder Alonso keep raking as well.

Top Options: José Ramírez , Francisco Lindor , Michael Brantley

Secondary Options: Edwin Encarnación , Yonder Alonso , Melky Cabrera

New York Yankees vs Andrew Cashner

It’s not that I don’t think the Yankees are going to be popular tonight because on most nights the ownership percentages on their players are high purely because of the “Yankee bump” and the large contingency of Yankee fans that play DFS.  This is even a real solid matchup against Andrew Cashner who on most nights is a total scrub.  For me this current Yankees lineup is missing the punch that Aaron Judge and Gary Sánchez add to Giancarlo Stanton , Miguel Andujar and Didi Gregorius to name just a few of the Yankees are top hitters.  Do the Yankees have a shot to be the top scoring team of the slate?  Of course, but I think there are some better options that I listed above.  That being said I would still play them if I am making multiple lineups to get that exposure.

Top Options: Giancarlo Stanton , Didi Gregorius , Miguel Andujar , Aaron Hicks

Secondary Options: Brett Gardner , Gleyber Torres , Neil Walker
