Boston Red Sox vs Adam Plutko

The Red Sox will be looking to split the series with the Indians this afternoon in Fenway Park after taking it to Cleveland in a 10-4 victory last night after dropping the first two games of the series.  The Red Sox offense leads baseball in runs scored, batting average and OPS against right-handed pitching this season. They also rank third in runs scored, first in batting average and second in OPS at their home ballpark this season.  Indians starter Adam Plutko has appeared in 10 games this season making seven starts. He is 4-3 with a 4.62 ERA and a 1.15 WHIP. He has dominated right-handed hitters this season, holding them to a .180 batting average but lefties are hitting .313 with an OPS of 1.046.

Secondary Options: Jackie Bradley Jr. , Brock Holt

Oakland A’s vs Kohl Stewart

Stewart has not lasted very long in either of his two starts this season, totaling just seven innings while allowing six runs on 11 hits while walking five and striking out three.  Those are not the type of numbers you want to have when you step on the mound to face the surging A’s. Oakland’s offense is led by Khris Davis but the likes of Matt Olson , Matt Chapman and Jed Lowrie are still doing damage at the dish.  Attacking Stewart should be a popular play and the Twins bullpen is no great shakes either.

Top Options: Khris Davis , Matt Olson , Matt Chapman

Secondary Options: Jed Lowrie , Stephen Piscotty , Nick Martini, Marcus Semien

Cleveland Indians vs David Price

Price has really been on a roll of late but he has struggled against some of the leagues tough teams and the Indians certainly fit that bill.  The cost of the Cleveland players will certainly make stacking a tough fit but the likes of José Ramírez , Francisco Lindor and Edwin Encarnación should all be in play today.  Yan Gomes has also had success against left-handed pitching this season and though Cleveland was held to a handful of runs last night with a lefty on the mound there are times with Price where he just melts down when things start going south.

Top Options: José Ramírez , Francisco Lindor , Edwin Encarnación

Secondary Options: Yan Gomes , Melky Cabrera

Tampa Bay Rays vs Danny Duffy

Duffy is being activated off of the disabled list and will be making the start against the Rays.  Tampa’s offense has been decent of late and they have some guys that can do damage against left-handed pitching.  There was a point this year where it looked like Duffy had started to turn his season around but prior to landing on the DL he had allowed 20 earned runs on 31 hits over 22.2 innings.

Top Options: C.J. Cron , Matt Duffy , Tommy Pham

Secondary Options: Mallex Smith , Willy Adames , Carlos Gómez
