Avisail García OF, CWS- Garcia has been on fire since returning to the White Sox lineup and over the last seven games he is hitting .394 with four home runs and an OPS of 1.333.  Garcia on the season has his average up to .286 with six home runs and an OPS of .798. Garcia is coming off a career year in 2017 and if now healthy he is looking like a player building off that success.

Rougned Odor 2B, TEX- After a very slow start to the season, Odor is hitting .333 with a .973 OPS over the last 15 games.  Surprisingly Odor is also hitting better against left-handed pitching than right-handed pitching this season with a .310 average and an OPS of .776.  Odor has been one of the leagues better power hitting second basemen over the past few seasons and it looking like he is back on track in that department.

Mark Trumbo 1B, BAL- I have been preaching to all that would listen to me that now is the time to pick up Trumbo as his peripheral stats indicated a power surge was coming and boy has it.  Over the last 15 games Trumbo is hitting .297 with an OPS of 1.067 and seven home runs. He has the highest hard contact rate of his career and a career high line drive rate which has come at the expensive of his fly ball rate.  His HR/FB rate sits around 20% and if he can turn some of those line drives into more fly balls he should be hitting even more home runs.

Dereck Rodriguez SP, SF- Rodriguez has been solid for the Giants since joining their rotation.  Over his last three starts Rodriguez is 2-0 with a 1.96 ERA and a 1.09 WHIP. His next start comes against the Cardinals which will give him his first real test of the season but will benefit as the Cardinals offense has been struggling this year and Busch Stadium is a pitchers park.

Shelby Miller SP, ARI- Are we done with the Shelby Miller experiment? Miller has not been good since being traded from Atlanta and through two starts this season he has allowed 11 earned runs over 8.2 innings.  His next start will come against the Padres which on paper would be a favorable matchup for him but I will likely be stacking Padres against him.

George Springer OF, HOU- Springer is in a month long slump right now after hitting .190 with a .658 OPS during the month of June.  Things were even worse towards the end of the month as he hit .069 with a .306 OPS over the last 15 games. Springer is also now dealing sore back that cause him to miss a recent game for the Astros.  I’m not saying you need to sell on Springer but he is doing a lot more harm to your lineup right now than good.

Eduardo Escobar 2B, MIN- Escobar is enjoying a career year but lately his owners can’t be happy as he is hitting just .133 with an OPS of .438 over the last 15 days.  Escobar did hit .293 during June even with the recent slump so not all is bad. I would suggest trying to trade for Escobar while he is on this down swing because he is in a contract year and having a contract year type of season.
