Chalk Stacks

Colorado Rockies vs Luis Perdomo

This is an obvious choice as anytime there are games being played in Coors field the two teams playing typically have pretty high ownership.  In this case I do think both teams are in play but like the Rockies lineup against Perdomo better than I like the Padres lineup against German Marquez The Rockies have lost the first two games of this series against the Padres but that should come to an end on Wednesday as Perdomo has been hammered by the Rockies during his career.  Some of the notable BvP numbers against Perdomo are as followed:

Trevor Story - 6-for-11 with two doubles and four RBI

Nolan Arenado - 4-for-15 with a double, two home runs and four RBI

Charlie Blackmon - 5-for-13 with two home runs and three RBI

Carlos González - 5-for-10 with a double, home run and three RBI

DJ LeMahieu - 6-for-15 with a double

Ian Desmond - 4-for-5 with two RBI

Stack these players whichever way you want, they will be expensive but will also be worth it in my opinion given the matchup.

Milwuakee Brewers vs Adam Wainwright

Wainwright just is not the pitcher he once was and it's always a bit sad to see a once dominant player creep towards the end of his career but with Wainwright that career could be over a lot sooner than we think as he has now had two straight poor seasons with last year being the worst of his career as posted a 5.11 ERA and a 1.50 WHIP over 24 games (23 starts).  In his first start this season he was tagged for three runs on four hits while wlaking four and striking out three over 3.1 innings.  On Wednesday he will face a Brewers team that tagged him for six runs on 16 hits over 10 inings last season.  Career wise the Brewers hitters do not have great BvP splits against Wainwright but that makes sense seeing as he was a Cy Young pitcher during his prime but those skils have long diminished and I think the Brewers cetainly have the bats to do damage in this one. Look to target Eric Thames , Ryan Braun , Travis Shaw , Domingo Santana , Jonathan Villar and potentially Lorenzo Cain if he is back in the Brewers lineup after sitting out Tuesday's game with an injury.

Contrarian Stack

Atlanta Braves vs A.J. Cole

I think the Braves lineup goes overlooked at times despite the fact  that they have a pretty solid leadoff hitter in Ender Inciarte and an MVP candidate in Freddie Freeman hitting in the middle of their lineup.  Add to that lineup an up and coming second baseman in Ozzie Albies along with shortstop Dansby Swanson and I tink there is some definite potential here.  Nationals pitcher A.J. Cole was SHELLED for 10 earned runs on 10 hits over 3.2 innings against the Braves in his first start of the season with Freeman and outfielder Preston Tucker taking him for home runs.  Albies and Nick Markakis both collected three hits in this contest with Markakis doubling twice.  The sample size here against Cole is very limited but I will certainly be looking to stack the left-handed bats of the Braves against him as lefties are hitting .299 with an OPS of .897 off of Cole over his last 22 appearances (17 starts).
