Chicago White Sox vs Jon Lester

Jose Abreu, Melky Cabrera, Matt Davidson, Avisail Garcia

I get it, the White Sox as a team are pretty dreadful BUT the one thing this team can do is hit left-handed pitching as they rank third in team batting average (.282) and ninth in team OPS (.774) against southpaws this season. Lester on the other hand hasn’t quite been as effective this season, going 7-6 with a 3.95 ERA and a 1.24 WHIP and while he has pitched better over his last two starts he will be in an American League ballpark and have to face a DH instead of the pitcher.

New York Mets vs Luis Perdomo

Yoenis Cespedes, Michael Conforto, Jay Bruce, Lucas Duda, Asdrubal Cabrera

The Mets offense is averaging nearly five runs a contest in this series against the Padres and on Thursday they face Luis Perdomo who is 4-5 with a 4.71 ERA and a 1.54 WHIP.  Jay Bruce is currently the only Mets hitter to have faced Perdomo before and he is 1-for-3 with a home run off him.  Despite Petco Park typically favoring the pitcher Perdomo has a 4.83 ERA at home this season.

Miami Marlins vs Robert Stephenson

Giancarlo Stanton, Marcell Ozuna, J.T. Realmuto, Christian Yelich, Dee Gordon, Derek Dietrich

The Marlins could have a bit of a hangover after scoring 22 runs on Wednesday but I am going to ride the wave here as they face off against Reds righty Robert Stephenson.  Stephenson this season is 0-3 with an 8.10 ERA and a 1.97 WHIP.  As a team the Marlins are hitting .267 against RHP which ranks them sixth in the MLB.  The team also boasts an OPS of .758 which is good for 14th in baseball.
