Tonight we have an 11 game slate which means there are a lot of places to look and a lot of lines and powerplay combinations to pay close attention to. Understanding how to build a cash lineup vs. a GPP lineup is essential in learning how to become sucessful in DFS. Normally, we are going to see the chalk be the highest total team on the board, which tonight are the New Jersey Devils. However, the Tampa Bay Lightning have two elite players on their first line (Kucherov, Stamkos) who also are on the PP1 together and have a very high goal total. I expect them to be chalky, along with Hall. To counteract this, DK and FD have made each of Stamkos and Kucherov so expensive you will need to combine them with min priced players in order to complete the stack cicuit....which you can do. One of the better GPP strategies I can recommend is to find value where your opponents are not looking. The Avalanche, Flyers, Penguins, and even the Panthers have great players at good prices points. As the majority of your DFS foes load up with Stamkos and Kucherov at C and W, they are left with only a few teams able to complete their 2 team stacks, which are inevitably the cheaper teams. You can get creative and circumvent this going with Stamkos OR Kucherov, Stamkos and Kucherov together spending less at goalie, or isolating either player as a "one off" from your primary stacks.
