Pos | Player | Team | Opp. Pitcher | DK Sal. |
C | Sung Woo Jang | KTW | J. Seo (R) | $3,500 |
Jang had his day of rest on Thursday so he’ll be back in the KT lineup Friday. The catcher is hitting .345 over his last 10 games and has been a really strong run producer for KT sitting at 18 RBI up to this point. Jang has belted all three homers against RHP this year and is batting a cool .341 against them to boot. |
C | Seung Taek Han | KIA | Y. Lee (R) | $3,900 |
One of the hottest hitting catchers in the league right now, if not the hottest. Over his last 10 games, Han has slashed .400/.438/.733 with three bombs. Talk about a position with limited depth. Catcher is it. Han is as good as it gets in this match-up. 3-of-4 homers this year have come against RHP, for the record. |
1B | Jae Il Oh | DOO | M. Kim (R) | $3,600 |
Min Soo Kim has been a very strong pitcher for Kia this year, but lefties have him hit slightly better than righties and Oh has looked good at the dish. He has a hit in five straight games and his OPS remains a cool 1.021 this season. Not only that, but he’s severely underpriced at 3.6K. |
1B/2B | Joo Hwan Choi | DOO | M. Kim (R) | $2,300 |
We’re talking serious value here from the Doosan infielder. Despite being just 2.3K, he has already belted six homers which is tied for the team lead. The lefty swinger has belted four of his six bombs and driven in 14-of-19 runs against RHP this season. |
1B/OF | Jamie Romak | SK | D. Kim (R) | $5,700 |
We know Romak has power and we know that power offers upside. He’s twice gone for 20+ DK points in 2-of-3 games and is in a match-up that offers both of those aforementioned things; power and upside. |
2B | Chi Hong An | LOT | M. Kim (R) | $3,000 |
An continues to hit third for LOTTE despite only hitting .257 this year. An does have power as he’s flashed in the past, but only has one bomb this year. What he has excelled in is swiping bags as he’s already up to seven on the year. Great value at a less than ideal position. |

2B/SS | Jin Hyuk No | NCD | S. Jang (R) | $3,400 |
We’re getting a really nice value on the multi-position eligible 6 hitter. He’s hitting .333 with an OPS north of 1.000 his last 10 games, which has risen his average to .310 on the season. He’s flashed solid power hitting four homers and as documented, Si Hwan Jang allows a LOT of traffic on the base paths. |
2B/SS | Byung Woo Jeon | KIW | C. Lim (R) | $2,000 |
Lock and load in cash. Probably in GPP’s as well. He’s min salary and is batting .360 with a .827 OPS. Since coming back from his 10-game absence, Jeon has a four-game hitting streak, three of which have resulted in 2+ hits and he has at least one RBI in each. |
2B/SS | Sun Bin Kim | KIA | Y. Lee (R) | $4,000 |
I’ve documented throughout this playbook Young Ha Lee’s inability to throw strikes, which plays into Kim’s hand. The KIA two-hole hitter has a robust .451 OBP this year and a career mark of .377. He just walked three times the other day and reached base a whopping four times that same game. He doesn’t hit for much power, but he’s a high volume guy at a position that is scarce. |
SS/3B | Jeong Choi | SK | D. Kim (R) | $4,800 |
Although he went 0-for-3 on Thursday, Choi is swinging it so much better than he had been. I mean just over his last 10 games he’s slashed .367/.548/.600. This is one of the league's premier hitters and he has the opportunity to hit his third homer against an SP who’s allowed 1.7 HR/9 for two straight seasons and is on that same trajectory this season. |
3B | Jae Gyun Hwang | KTW | J. Seo (R) | $5,500 |
I know 5.5K is a steep price tag for a guy with just two homers, but he’s hitting .315, has nine XBH, 18 runs and 15 RBI. I will point out that Jun Won Seo has allowed 1.3 HR/9 and three of the four have come against RHH. |
OF | Soo Kwang Noh | SK | J. Seo (R) | $3,300 |
The OF value on this slate is tremendous as Noh is really feelin’ good at the dish this year. He’s hit for power, used his speed on two triples and two steals while maintaining a solid .322 AVG. All three homers Kim has allowed have been to LHH. |
OF | Sung Bum Na | NCD | S. Jang (R) | $5,400 |
This is why Na was drawing interest from teams in the MLB before last year's injury. He RAKES. Just over his last 10 games, he’s slashed .432/.523/.919 with 10 XBH, 11 R and 12 RBI. LHH have hit .321 vs. Si Hwan Jang this year and Jang has 2.11 WHIP this year, so we could see Na on the basepaths a lot in this spot. |
OF | Jeong Dae Bae | KTW | J. Seo (R) | $2,700 |
There’s no reason to explore Bae or Yong Ho Jo in most lineups, especially cash games. Both are under 3K, both hit at the top half of the team's lineup and both are hitting north of .300, with Jo over .400. This game features an 11.5 game total, which is the largest of the slate. |
OF | Mel Rojas Jr. | KTW | J. Seo (R) | $6,700 |
I know we’re paying a price for a pitcher essentially, but c’mon, he’s on FIRE. He’s hit four homers in five games, is riding a nine-game hitting streak and has a 1.200 OPS on the year. He’s moved into second in the league in homers and the only downside is he strikes out a lot, but Seo doesn’t strike ANYONE out, so we shouldn’t worry about it in this spot. |
OF | Ji Wan Na | KIA | Y. Lee (R) | $3,500 |
KIA has a lot of favorable price tags in a pretty darn good match-up and Na fits that description to a tee. He has the split advantage as Young ha Lee has allowed LHH to bat .351 while Na is batting a cool .377 vs. RHP. He’s still only 3.5K, hits in the heart of the lineup and fits in a stack or a one-off. Oh, he’s hitting .378 over his last 10 games too. |
OF | Preston Tucker | KIA | Y. Lee (R) | $6,100 |
Tucker is beginning to heat up once again as he’s belted a home run in back-to-back outings and has hits in 7-of-9 games. What makes Tucker extremely attractive here is his ability to reach base. He has a .398 OBP while Young Ha lee, Doosan starter, has a 1.81 WHIP and has more walks (19) than strikeouts (17). |
