Seattle Seahawks @ Dallas Cowboys

Total: 43.5

DAL -2

Gameplay Predictions

  • The spread opened at 41.5 and has risen to 43.5 since. Something interesting to note.

  • Both defenses are in the Top-11 in allowing the fewest points per game. Dallas is at seventh allowing just 20.3 while Seattle is 11th giving up 21.7.

  • Russell Wilson finished 18th in the league in passing yards while Dak Prescott finished 15th.

  • That said, Wilson was tied for third in passing touchdowns with 35 while Prescott finished 16th with just 22.

  • Both QB’s can be difference makers with their legs as Wilson rushed for 376 yards while Prescott rushed for six touchdowns for the third straight season.

  • Ezekiel Elliott won the rushing crown by 127 yards over Saquon Barkley.

  • Chris Carson has three straight games over 100 yards and at least one touchdown in each.

  • Doug Baldwin had a strong finish to his 2018 campaign scoring four times in his last four games.

  • Tyler Lockett led Seattle in both yards (964) and touchdowns (10).

  • Amari Cooper led Dallas in receiving yards (725) and touchdowns (6) but the catch is he only played nine games.

  • Blake Jarwin has seen at least seven targets in three of his last four games. He had a career-high in receptions, yards and touchdowns in Week 17 against the Giants.

Pregame Props

1) The last non-kneeling, offensive play of the 1st Quarter is a running play (We'll leave this open until the 2:00 mark)  YES 2.3 / NO 2.7

YES. Both Dallas and Seattle were in the top-12 in rushing attempts and top-13 in rushing yards as well. Safe bet is to go with the grain, especially entering a postseason where you’re not all of sudden going to change what got you there.

2) A. Cooper (DAL) records a reception of 15 or more yards in the 1st Quarter  YES 2.6 / NO 2.4

NO. Over his last three games, Cooper didn’t catch a single pass over 11 yards and although he has big play capability, it doesn’t seem likely with how good Seattle’s defense is.

3) Either team kicks a successful field goal in the 1st Quarter YES 1.7 / NO 3.9

YES. With the 43.5 point total, it’s likely some points come in the first quarter. Dallas finished 29th in red zone conversion percentage, so they’re very likely to end their possessions in three points rather than seven.

4) The first offensive play of the 1st Quarter gains 2 or more yards YES 1.5 / NO 4.5

YES. When you have Elliott and Carson both averaging over five yards per carry, it’s hard to think they won’t gain two or more yards on their first play.

5) DAL scores on their opening drive YES 3.0 / NO 2.1

YES. It doesn’t specify between touchdowns or field goals and I think Dallas could get down the field for three points in this spot.

6) R. Wilson (SEA) gains five or more rushing yards on the SEA opening drive YES 3.2 / NO 2.3

YES. The one against the grain answer I’ll go with here is this one. Dallas has a very good pass rush, but if they don’t contain the edges, Wilson could see a big gap and go for a big gainer.
