Quarterback's

This question isn’t challenging, and it doesn’t have much to do with the defenses and really all to do with the caliber of quarterback’s. Stafford has averaged 264 passing yards per game this year while Brett Hundley has thrown for 244 yards in 59 pass attempts over his last two games. Need I say more?

Running Backs

Question two is way more interesting as it involves some intriguing players. Aaron Jones is the favorite to rush for the most yards, but he’s followed closely by Ameer Abdullah and then Ty Montgomery and Dwayne Washington bring up the year. Jones definitely has the strongest upside as we’ve seen the big play potential he’s shown early on in his career. Abdullah, although it hasn’t been all good, continues to get the volume. Abdullah is 20th in the league in rushing attempts, but with his 14 attempt average, could crack the top-15 by night’s end. Ty Montgomery becomes the wild card, especially if Jones can’t get anything going early. We saw Montgomery handle a full workload earlier in the year, so it’s not something he’s not accustomed too.

Receiving

Question three asks us who will have the most receiving yards between Marvin Jones, T.J. Jones, Davante Adams and Randall Cobb. What’s most interesting is how low Boom Fantasy thinks of Brett Hundley that T.J. Jones is more of a favorite in this question than both Adams and Cobb, and I’m not sure they’re wrong. Marvin Jones is the clear cut favorite here, notching 33 targets over his last three contests. The other pass catching Jones is interesting because Kenny Golladay continues to miss time, leaving T.J. on the field as the third receiver far more often than normal. We’ve seen Davante Adams turn into quite the receiver over the past two years so it’s hard for me personally just to write him off. Even if Hundley plays bad, he could simply target one of his receivers for a majority of the contest and one could have a good game and the other’s could suffer. I think this is the sort of question you take a risk on one of the GB receivers.

Sticking with the pass catchers, Theo Riddick is favored in question four about having the most receptions. He’s followed by Martellus Bennett, Eric Ebron and Geronimo Allison. Although Riddick’s the favorite, he’s way down from the pace he was on over the last two seasons. The Lions are really committing to Ameer Abdullah which in turn is giving Riddick less opportunity on the field. Bennett and Ebron have both really underperformed this year and both get phased out of their respective offenses quite often. Allison intrigues me a little, however. Him and Hundley have definitely built somewhat of a rapport as they’ve practiced together on the second unit quite often before the injury to Aaron Rodgers. If one of the Packers receivers goes down, which happens often, he could step in and play a big role.

Touchdowns

For question five, we get a touchdown question. Between Marvin Jones, Davante Adams, Golden Tate and Ty Montgomery who scores the most total touchdowns? Well right off the bat when we’re talking about touchdowns I immediately think about Davante Adams. Adams is second in football in red zone targets and tied for sixth in receiving touchdowns. That said, that essentially all came with Aaron Rodgers at the helm. Marvin Jones, for the second time in five questions, peaks my interest the most. The volume he is receiving is simply outstanding and him and Stafford seem to be clicking on all cylinders right now. Golden Tate is obviously a nice GPP dart as well. We’ve seen him score twice this year and has the upside as we’ve seen in years past to find pay dirt on multiple occasions in one game.

NFL/NBA Hybrid

Question six could make it or break it for your chance to take down a Boom Fantasy tournament tonight. The hybrid questions are tough, but this one is VERY tough, with Matthew Stafford the slight favorite over D'Angelo Russell. The football side asks us about passing touchdowns while the basketball side asks us about three-pointers made. Stafford has a great matchup against a really subpar Packers defense in a divisional game they need, so I fully expect him to be sharp. Both D'Angelo Russell and Marquese Chriss are in the highest NBA total of the night. They have a great chance at hoisting a lot of three’s and making them too. Russell more than Chriss, but if Chriss gets the playing time, he could light it up.

Receiving Yards

Even with Aaron Rodgers slinging the ball around Jordy Nelson wasn’t exactly racking up the receiving yards. Boom sets his O/U at 41 yards. He only saw four targets and made one catch last game with Brett Hundley at the helm and although I think that improves, it’s likely a slight improvement. 41 is probably an accurate number. Golden Tate didn’t show up on the Lions injury report this week and has a clean bill of health headed into this matchup. The Packers aren’t very good in the secondary and Tate could post his third straight game over 80-plus yards. I’m almost banking on it.
