10-team leagues

Jon Gray, COL SP (74% ownership), FAAB Bid - $17 - I’m not sure anybody has $17 bucks left to spend, but if you do, this is the guy you want. He’s been on fire and he’s highly owned everywhere, but pick him up if he’s available. Gray’s rattled off six strikeouts or more in seven of his last eight starts including three straight starts of seven or more K’s. His upside could be the deciding factor in winning or losing a championship.

Nick Williams, PHI OF (21% ownership), FAAB Bid - $14-15 - Don’t look now, but over the last 30 days Williams ranks eighth in all of baseball in RBI. He’s hit .289 and driven four pitches out of the park over that same span. Williams hasn’t gotten any media coverage because his teammate Rhys Hoskins has been the one driving seemingly every pitch he sees out of every park he plays in. Williams is a sure-fire OF2 option for the remainder of this campaign.

Kyle Gibson, MIN SP (32% ownership), FAAB Bid - $13 - Gibson’s dreadful first half is almost all the way forgotten thanks to how well he’s pitched since the All-Star break. His 13.6-percent K-rate from the first half is up to 21.4 since the break and he’s notched a 3.70 xFIP compared to his 5.04 mark before the All-Star festivities.

12-team league

Hunter Pence, SF OF (35% ownership), FAAB Bid - $10-11 - Pence has slashed .294/.360/.463 since August 1st. He’s turned his season around, showing everyone he’s still got something in the tank. Rostering Pence at this point of the season doesn’t hurt, especially because there’s no way he could possibly get hurt and hurt your teams chances at this point of the season.

Jake Odorizzi, TB SP (57% ownership), FAAB Bid - $9 - He’s been quite good of late, notching quality starts in three of his last four outings, allowing two ER or less in each start. Not only that, but he’s struck out five or more in four straight outings including a season-high nine strikeout game his last time out. Odorizzi is definitely a middle-of-the-rotation arm for the remainder of the season.

Brandon Nimmo, NYM OF (3% ownership), FAAB Bid - $6 - Nimmo didn’t have a great start to his 2017 campaign but has been really solid over the last 30 days. Nimmo has hit .289 with five homers and 16 RBI over that span. He continues to hit in the heart of the Mets order and will do so until the years over. He’s a solid OF3 for the remainder of the season.

15-team leagues

Christian Villanueva, SD 3B (1% ownership), FAAB Bid - $2-3 - Villanueva’s three homers within his first eight games at the big league level is no fluke. He hit 20 at Triple-A this season and posted a .528 SLG-percentage. He’s worth the add in deeper formatted leagues, especially if you’re looking for some end of the season power.

Brett Phillips, MIL OF (1% ownership), FAAB Bid - $2 - Sunday marks the last day of the regular season and for all the leagues that have waivers until the last day, a pickup like this could be a sneaky one and could help you win a fantasy championship. Phillips has hit .400 with four stolen bases over the last two weeks. The stolen base upside can help you take down a category you may be weak in.
