ARI

With DeAndre Hopkins it’s anyone's guess on a weekly basis who will lead this receiving corps in targets I suppose. Christian Kirk looked as if he was going to separate from the pack and in comes Rondale Moore and his 11 looks in Week 11. It was the FIRST time all season long a Cardinals receiver saw double-digit targets in a game. The Cardinals have a bye week in Week 12, so let’s see if DeAndre Hopkins will return and muddy things right back up again.

Colt McCoy has really relied upon his checkdown and James Conner has benefited tremendously from that. He saw another six targets in Week 11 and in the last three weeks he’s seen a minimum of four. The running back, something I’ve mentioned all year long, is heavily involved in the passing game. So is Zach Ertz who saw a season high nine targets. He also scored two touchdowns and is a weekly start at this point.

ATL

Insert the Hide ya kids, hide ya wife meme. It was that scary in Week 11 for Atlanta. They didn’t score. Russell Gage saw eight targets and was serviceable. But New England took away EVERYTHING Atlanta tried doing and even Kyle Pitts had just five targets in a game that the Falcons were missing Calvin Ridley and Cordarrelle Patterson.

BAL

This wasn’t the best week for Ravens pass catchers considering Lamar Jackson was out and so was Marquise Brown. With Brown out, Rashod Bateman and Devin Duvernay saw six looks while Sammy Watkins had four. The passing attack should see a huge boost with Jackson returning in Week 12.

Just because Lamar Jackson doesn’t check it down doesn’t mean others don't! Tyler Huntley looked Devonta Freeman’s way six times in Week 11, which was a season high for him. Even with Latavius Murray back, Freeman looked like the A-side of this backfield. Mark Andrews is ALWAYS the A-side when it comes to tight ends as he had another 10 targets come his way. He’s tied with Darren Waller for the second most targets at the position this year.

BUF

With Buffalo laying an egg, their receivers didn’t do much in the targets department. Stefon Diggs, Cole Beasley, Emmanuel Sanders, and Gabriel Davis had between four and six targets. Diggs is the alpha within this offense and everyone else is lagging behind. It’s worth noting that Gabriel Davis has seen an increase in targets the last two weeks while Cole Beasley has seen a decline.

This backfield is the wooooorst. In the rushing game, passing game, all the games. The worsssssst. Dawson Knox on the other hand is a stud. His previous high in targets this year was eight and he shattered that here with 10. Knox is a fringe TE1 moving forward, especially how much this team throws the ball.

CAR

With Cam Newton under center, it was always going to be intriguing how the targets would be distributed. Things pretty much played out how we expected them too. Christian McCaffrey saw eight, Robby Anderson saw seven and DJ Moore saw six. We expect this condensed of a target share in most games and possibly some Terrace Marshall mixed in every once in a while.

CHI

With Justin Fields leaving due to injury, in stepped Andy Dalton who did a moderately good job fed Darnell Mooney A LOT. By a lot I mean 16 times! 16! He had built up a nice rapport with Justin Fields and was the preference over Allen Robinson most weeks. That didn’t change with Dalton entering the equation, but it is fair to point out Robinson didn’t play in Week 11 and isn’t playing Week 12’s game either, so the expectation that Mooney has another big game is high.

We know he’s capable of it, but David Montgomery has not been involved in the passing attack these last two weeks, not even in the slightest. Someone who’s been heavily involved is Cole Kmet. Outside of Week 11 of course. He did only have two targets which was a bummer, but look for him to get back on track against the Lions on Thanksgiving.

CIN

It was an extremely disappointing day out of this Bengals offense, especially from Tee Higgins who only had three targets. This was bad news Bears as he was third in targets amongst the receivers here and in drafts, he was generally the first one off the board. Ja’Marr Chase is a weekly WR1 despite seeing just six targets here, but what to make of Tyler Boyd and his team leading eight targets? He’s still hard to trust on a week-to-week basis.

It was a quiet week for everyone else on the Bengals, however.

CLE

Who would’ve thought the Browns passing attack would still look bad without Odell Beckham Jr. As if he was never cursed in the first place. WHO KNEW! Anyways, he didn’t really do much with them, but Jarvis Landry had eight targets. Rashard Higgins had five too, but that’s not something we can really rely on considering Donovan Peoples-Jones missed this game.

Nick Chubb caught a touchdown pass, in case you didn’t know. He didn't do much else, but there’s that! Austin Hooper had a season high seven targets too and has been much more involved of late notching five or more targets in three of four games. He’s nothing more than a TE2, but it’s worth noting that the volume has been up with the departing of Odell Beckham Jr.

DAL

With Amari Cooper out and CeeDee Lamb leaving this game early, Michael Gallup saw a hefty workload as Dallas was playing mostly from behind here. Gallup wasn’t the only one however, as Cedrick Wilson saw seven targets himself. Look for BOTH players to be heavily targeted by Dak Prescott on Thanksgiving with Cooper and Lamb out.

It was a solid day for Ezekiel Elliott through the air as he saw six targets. I always thought Elliott had an outside chance at a career high in targets this year, especially with the extra game on the schedule, but Tony Pollard’s usage has hurt that a bit. Between them they have 65 on the year. Without Cooper and Lamb, Dalton Schultz played a massive role for this Cowboys offense notching eight targets. It was the third time this season Schultz has notched that many targets and without both guys again in Week 12, I’d be hard pressed to think that he doesn’t do it again here.

DEN

Week 11 bye week.

DET

YIKESSSSSS Tim Boyle played quarterback here. Run for the hills.

GB

Woah. This concentrated offense let someone else sit at the adult table. For as big of a game as Davante Adams had, he was out targeted by Marquez Valdes-Scantling 10 to eight. It was the first time since Week 1 that MVS has had north of four targets. We know how much a deep threat he can be but we don’t always think about him as the target vulture. He was just that here, however. I’m not sure we can trust him to see that type of work consistently, but he should definitely be on our radar if we need help at the receiver spot.

The running back has always had a role in the passing game for Green Bay and Week 11 was no different just because Aaron Jones was out. AJ Dillon saw six passes come his way and it’s the third time in four weeks a Packers RB saw at least six targets.

HOU

The most notable thing happening to the Houston offense is that Brandin Cooks has not looked all that great with TyRod Taylor under center. The star receiver saw just three targets in Week 11 and yes he had 14 the game prior, but the two just aren’t in sync and it’s hurting his fantasy prospects. He is/was the only viable fantasy asset in the receiving corps but the lack of production is making it hard to use him on a weekly basis.

IND

It was a great week to be a Colts fan but a great week to be someone who rosters Colts players outside of Jonathan Taylor. Here’s the list of wide receiver targets for Week 11; Michael Pittman had five, T.Y. Hilton had two and Zach Pascal had one. End of list. Pittman is really the only receiver you should and would start on a weekly basis here.

Jonathan Taylor did have three targets and we all know what he was able to do in Week 11 and only other thing to note here was Jack Doyle tied for the team lead with five targets, but he’s essentially irrelevant in fantasy land.

JAC

Maybe when Urban Meyer is gone we’ll see the potential in Trevor Lawrence because right now, there’s nothing to like about Jacksonville’s passing game. To make matters worse, Jamal Agnew was lost for the season in Week 11. Avoid this situation at all costs. Evan everyone’s favorite tight end, Dan Arnold, had just one target.

KC

It’s Tyreek Hill. It’s Travis Kelce. That’s it. Clyde Edwards-Helaire returned to action here and saw two looks, but Darrel Williams saw three. That’s something to keep in mind moving forward.

LAR

Week 11 bye week.

LAC

The Chargers passing attack is funneling through Keenan Allen right now. Allen has now had 11 or more targets in four straight games after his 13 in Week 11. Seven times in 10 games Allen has surpassed 10 targets. He’s tied for third in the league with 106 and is one of five players heading into Week 12 with more than 100. It’s worth noting that although Mike Williams hasn’t been seeing the volume he was earlier in the year, he put up his five consecutive performances with at least five and had a big touchdown in Week 11 to boot. He’s getting back in our good graces rather quickly.

The vacuum that is Austin Ekeler had seven targets in this one and has 58 targets in the nine games since his goose egg in Week 1. Ekeler is third amongst all running backs in targets and does have an outside chance at leading the league at his position. Jared Cook and Donald Parham once again split the work, both seeing five looks. It’s VERY difficult to trust either of these guys in fantasy football right now.

LV

Things have been very bad for the Raiders passing attack since Henry Ruggs departure from the team. Not even the always reliable Hunter Renfrow could get going here as he saw just four targets come his way which happens to be a season low. Bryan Edwards, who has been inconsistent as heck, didn’t even see ONE target. He had the same targets as the guy writing this article!

Something we’ve noted lately is how involved Josh Jacobs has been because, well, it’s probably been the biggest workload -- and most consistent -- he’s had through the air of his young career. He had a season high seven targets in Week 11 and has now had 16 over the last three weeks. You know who’s ALWAYS involved in the passing game for the Raiders? Darren Waller. He saw eight targets and only trails Travis Kelce amongst all tight ends in that category.

MIA

It’s been the same way for weeks, no matter who is quarterbacking the Dolphins, but Jaylen Waddle dominates the targets with Will Fuller and DeVante Parker out. Since Week 4, Waddle has had six or more targets in every game and four times over that span he’s had nine or more.

I’m not sure how under the radar it is, but Myles Gaskin has 52 targets this year and that’s amongst the league leaders at the position. Speaking of under the radar, Mike Gesicki had another six targets in Week 11 and is just three targets behind Darren Waller for the year.

MIN

This is Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen’s world and we’re just living in it. They’re monsters. They’re also basically the entire passing offense. Tyler Conklin had his worst game through the air in quite a while seeing just three targets, which hadn’t happened since Week 5. He’s a desperation tight end play at this point knowing he’s the fourth, sometimes fifth option for Kirk Cousins.

NE

As well as Mac Jones has played, it’s been tough to use his receivers in fantasy football. Jakobi Meyers leads them in targets -- and did in Week 11 -- but a large chunk of them came earlier in the year. Nelson Agholor isn’t the same big play threat he was in Las Vegas last year because Kendrick Bourne has been that guy, but it’s been inconsistent on that front.

It was not a great game for touchdown machine Hunter Henry, nor blocking tight end Jonnu Smith. It’s about to be Week 12 and I still can’t believe how much earlier Jonnu Smith was being drafted than Hunter Henry was.

NO

With Trevor Semian under center, some of these Saints pass catchers are really coming alive. It’s also helped that the Saints have been trailing a lot more recently than they were earlier in the year, but they’re throwing a lot these days. Tre’Quan Smith has been the Saints most reliable receiver of late. I know it’s been tough sledding for Smith in years past, but he’s finally healthy and looks good as the featured receiver. Marquez Callaway continues to see plenty of looks himself and has scored a touchdown in three straight games and has six on the year.

Rinse and repeat about Mark Ingram with Alvin Kamara being out. Eight targets again for Ingram, which makes 15 in two starts over the last two weeks. Whoever is playing running back for New Orleans has a chance to make a serious impact in the passing game on a week-to-week basis. It’s tough knowing Adam Trautman will miss the next 4-6 weeks considering how well he’d been playing prior to the injury. He had a season high eight targets in Week 11 and has four straight weeks with at least six. He had played himself into low-end TE1 discussion before the injury.

NYG

The ONLY pass catcher we can trust right now is Kadarius Toney and his 12 targets in Week 11, but at the same time, maybe new offensive coordinator Freddie Kitchens opens things up for the Giants offense? Daniel Jones is still under center, that could be the problem.

NYJ

With Joe Flacco under center, the Jets put the ball in the air 39 times. Elijah Moore had a team-high 11 targets and took the team lead in targets for the year. Corey Davis and Jamison Crowder both saw seven in their own right. Things looked pretty good in terms of distribution with Flacco, but Flacco has tested positive for COVID-19 and is out for Week 12, as is Mike White, so that means Zach Wilson under center and the Jets receivers did not fare well with Wilson under center.

PHI

Jalen Hurts quite literally throws the ball to DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert. He doesn’t check it down because he just tucks it and runs and very clearly has trust issues throwing it towards anybody else.

PIT

We all know when Ben Roethlisberger drops back he’s looking in Diontae Johnson’s direction first, but the most encouraging thing of Week 11 for the Steelers was getting Chase Claypool going. The nine targets Claypool saw was the first time he had more than five since Week 6. There’s no reason to think Claypool can’t be heavily targeted each and every game with JuJu Smith-Schuster out. This game should put Claypool back on our radars as the season moves forward.

With Pittsburgh trailing most of the game here, Najee Harris and Pat Freiermuth played big roles. Harris had six targets for the first time since Week 6 and the fourth time overall this year while Freiermuth had seven targets, which marked his fifth straight outing with at least six. He’s a weekly TE1, even with Eric Ebron in the lineup.

SEA

What the hell do we do with our Seahawks shares? Great for DK Metcalf to see eight targets in both games since Russell Wilson has returned. Great for Tyler Lockett to have 13 targets in the two games since Wilson’s return. We’ve gotten NO production from them at all. NONE. With Wilson in current form, it’s hard enough trusting his two stud receivers. Imagine suggesting playing anyone else from this passing attack? Yikes.

SF

This was the first time all year long Deebo Samuel did nothing as a receiver...but still puts up a big game because he rushed the rock eight times for 79 yards and a touchdown. HE DOES IT ALL! Someone who’s putting it together lately is Brandon Aiyuk, who led the team in targets, receptions, yards and scored a touchdown. Aiyuk has had seven or more targets in three of his last four games and George Kittle played in each of those games.

Speaking of George Kittle, he got into the end zone again. He had just four targets, but the touchdown made up for the lack of targets. The 49ers didn’t need to throw much in the second half as they were up 27-3 four minutes into the second half. Would’ve been a much bigger day if the game was more competitive.

TB

As much as Tom Brady seemingly spreads the ball around, the big dogs are always the ones eating. Mike Evans saw 11 targets, Chris Godwin, Leonard Fournette and Cameron Brate had six and Rob Gronkowski had eight. The only surprise there was Brate, but with Antonio Brown out that’s not all that surprising. Brady has long used two tight ends at a high clip.

TEN

With A.J. Brown hurt -- and still seeing nine targets -- Nick Westbrook-Ikhine was the only viable pass catcher Tennessee seemingly had. I mean, Ryan Tannehill threw four interceptions. Not the best day through the air for the Titans QB. If Brown is forced to miss Week 12, Westbrook-Ikhine faces a Bill Belicheck led defense. NOBODY is safe.

It is worth noting that Anthony Firkser had seven targets. Geoff Swaim was inactive and with the Titans trailing, Firkser was heavily involved in the passing game. Something to keep in the back of our minds if Brown can’t go.

WAS

Terry McLaurin. That’s really it. That’s the tweet. He was the only receiver that made any sort of impact in the target department and same goes for the other skill positions as well. Until Curtis Samuel and Logan Thomas return, not much is going to change in that department.
