ARI

Week 10 was much like Week 10 for the Cardinals receiving crops as Crhistian Kirk led the way in targets, but A.J. Green was back and he saw five targets. The kicker is that DeAndre Hopkins hasn’t played either game, so those targets obviously could tail off, especially if Kyler Murray is to miss Week 11 as well. Kirk now leads the team in targets thanks to Hopkins missing time, but all four receivers have 45 or more this year.

With Chase Edmonds out, James Conner continues to be a factor in the passing attack. It’s just a part of the Cardinals offense. A running back has seen three or more in every game this year and it’s been four or more in all but one game. Conner had four targets in Week 10 after five in Week 9. He’s a weekly RB1 without Edmonds. It’s nice to see the change of quarterback didn’t impact Zach Ertz either. Ertz has had four or more targets in all four games with the Cardinals and has topped eight fantasy points in PPR formats in three of the four.

ATL

This receiving corps is a mess. An absolute mess. With Calvin Ridley out, we’ve seen three different receivers lead them in targets in all three weeks. Week 10 was Olamide Zaccheaus’ time, notching seven targets. Trusting Zaccheaus is fools gold, however, considering he played the third most snaps of Falcons receivers. Russell Gage played the most snaps but has three targets combined in two of three since Ridley stepped away from the team.

The Falcons didn’t get their running backs involved at all in Week 10 as Cordarrelle Patterson and Wayne Gallman saw two looks through the air. Looking forward to Week 11 however, the Falcons will likely be without Cordarrelle Patterson which means Mike Davis is likely in the limelight, at least through the air. Davis has had five games in which he’s seen four or more targets. Kyle Pitts continues to be heavily targeted, the production has just been...a little disappointing. That said, he checks in as TE5 on the year, so you’re just fine if you’re a Pitts drafter or acquired him at some point during the year.

BAL

This isn’t Bate-man, we’re headed to Hollywood. Marquise Brown and Rashod Bateman are the only two receivers worth rostering here. Brown continues to dominate the target share as he had 13 targets in Week 10 and has now seen three straight double-digit target outings. He’s seen 10+ targets five times this year. Looking Bateman’s way, he’s had six or more targets in all four games he’s played in and the last two he’s seen eight targets in.

It wasn’t the worst day through the air for Devonta Freeman as he saw four targets, but this isn’t a very common occurrence for Ravens’ pass catchers. Especially when Latavius Murray comes back. In terms of the tight end position in Baltimore, Andrews is a weekly three option. He’s had six or more targets in every game since Week 3.

BUF

We’ve been waiting patiently for Stefon Diggs’ breakout game and patient we were. Well, he delivered on that patience with 13 targets, which he turned into eight receptions, 162 yards and a score. Outside of Diggs however, nobody from the receiver positions did much of anything. In fact, Diggs had more targets than Davis, Beasley, Sanders and McKenzie combined. COMBINED.

Nothing to see in the backfield because the Bills running backs are one of the fewest targeted backfields in the league. Only 10 teams this year have targeted their running backs fewer times than the Bills. Also worth noting that Dawson Knox saw just ONE target in Week 10. Obviously not ideal there, especially if you’ve been awaiting Knox’s return.

CAR

Even with the changing of the guard from Sam Darnold to PJ Walker (and a little Cam Newton) the two guys heavily targeted were once again DJ Moore and Robby Anderson. Anderson scored the touchdown from Newton while Moore led the team with seven looks. Moore has led this receiving corps in targets in all but ONE game this year. The week he didn’t? He and Anderson tied.

That Christian McCaffrey guy came back and had 10 targets. Yeah, he’s a pretty viable fantasy option I’d say. The tight end position in Carolina is irrelevant. Yeah, I’m talking to you, Tommy Tremble truthers.

CHI

Week 10 bye week.

CIN

Week 10 bye week.

CLE

This receiving corps is an absolute mess and it has nothing to do with Odell Beckham Jr. Baker Mayfield is all types of hurt and the passing game is out of sync. You don’t want to start any of these guys weekly. When your leading receivers see five targets, it’s time to make some roster decisions.

Obviously it was nice to see D’Ernest Johnson notch eight targets in a game, but it’s really just not a part of the Browns normal game plan. They don’t throw to their running backs often. Just twice prior to Week 10 has a Cleveland RB seen more than five targets. Good luck if you’re using any Browns tight end too. Austin Hooper led the squad with five targets in Week 10 and leads David Njoku 35 to 31 for the year.

DAL

We saw the return of Michael Gallup in Week 10 and possibly a glimpse on how things would play out for the rest of this year. Gallup actually was targeted more than Amari Cooper (five to four) in this game. The thing about that is that Gallup played fewer snaps and ran 13 less routes than Cooper. CeeDee Lamb had the big day of the trio but Cooper ran more routes and played more snaps. Something to monitor.

This was such a rout early, they got Tony Pollard heavily involved between the 20’s while Ezekiel Elliott punched in two scores on the ground. Pollard saw a season high seven targets, which was the third time a Cowboys running back has seen at least six targets. We were also watching Dalton Schultz’s deployment and usage with Gallup back and, well, two targets isn’t going to get it done.

DEN

How things are playing out in Denver are very unfortunate for anyone heavily invested in Courtland Sutton. In four games with Jerry Jeudy, he hasn’t had a game in which he’s had more than four targets. Jeudy is the clear cut number one option for Teddy Bridgewater and with the type of volume he’s getting, the positive regression in terms of production is coming sooner rather than later.

Both Melvin Gordon and Javonte Williams played a role in the passing game! Surprise surprise! This was, however, the first week Williams had out-snapped him this year. With Noah Fant back, he got his normal dose of targets and after seeing six in Week 10, he’s seventh in targets at the position and that’s after missing a game due to injury.

DET

D’Andre Swift and T.J. H0ckens0n. Right? Well, not if H0ckens0n is only going to get ONE target. We’ve seen a dip in production turn into a 29 target three game stretch earlier this year, so there is a very strong possibility that he is peppered with targets moving forward, but Jared Goff is injured and we could see Tim Boyle playing quarterback in Week 11. Yikes.

GB

It’s risky business rostering anyone other than Davante Adams from this receiving corps. With Aaron Jones out for 1-2 weeks, AJ Dillon could provide a huge spark in the passing game, much like Jones has throughout his entire career. Jones had 19 targets in his last three games which could be in the cards for Dillon.

HOU

Week 10 bye week.

IND

Indianapolis is an interesting wide receiver group and it’s mainly due to T.Y. Hilton. Hilton made it through this game unscathed, playing 39 snaps, running 26 routes on 36 Carson Wentz drop backs. He had five targets which was the same amount as breakout wideout Michael Pittman. Pittman ran routes on 33 of 36 dropbacks, however, and had the biggest day of the bunch. He’s still the alpha in this offense and the guy you want to own.

At the beginning of the season, if you told me through 10 weeks Nyheim Hines would have just two more targets than Jonathan Taylor I’m not sure I’d believe you. But here we are. Taylor had eight targets in Week 10 and has become such an alpha in this league. You’re lucky if you have Taylor on your roster at this point. Jack Doyle may have had five targets, but he’s not someone we want to roster.

JAC

The wide receivers are being targeted, but there's really nothing coming from them. Jamal Agnew has been the best fantasy asset of the bunch. Between him, James Robinson and Dan Arnold, they’re the only three players we’re comfortable with rostering on a weekly basis.

KC

Look, Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce dominate the targets, but Darrel Williams had a MASSIVE week through the air notching nine targets and going over 100 yards and a score. Also, if you’ve been hanging onto Mecole Hardman, it’s time to say your goodbyes. Move on and look for a better option.

LAR

The new-look Rams got rammed by the 49ers in Week 10. With Robert Woods hurt and Odell Beckham in town, things are going to be quite different. Or are they? Cooper Kupp was targeted 13 times for the fourth time this year as he leads the league in that category. Van Jefferson saw seven targets and has now had six or more in four straight games. The wild cards were Odell Beckham and Ben Skowronek. This was and will likely be the last time Skowronek will be targeted more than Beckham. Skowronek saw five looks while Beckham saw three. We should, however, expect Beckham to ascend to the team's second option, much like Woods was, as he develops a rapport with Matthew Stafford and leans the playbook better.

The Rams don’t always use their running backs in the passing game, but Darrell Henderson is more than capable of handling a heavy dose of targets out of the backfield. He had six targets in this game as his team was playing from behind all night long and it was the fourth time this year he’s had at least five targets. Outside of the touchdown Tyler Higbee scored, he didn’t do much with his five targets and it’s been a rollercoaster with him all year long. He’s very hard to trust on a week-to-week basis.

LAC

Let’s face the facts. Keenan Allen is DOMINATING the targets and Mike Williams has turned into just a guy. Allen has 35 targets over his last three games and Williams has 16. With Herbert not holding onto the ball and getting it out quickly, Allen continues to reap the rewards. Allen is now fifth in the league in targets overall.

Austin Ekeler had another six targets and is truthfully the second most reliable option in the passing game for the Chargers right about now. Jared Cook is a risky streaming option at best.

LV

The second game without Henry Ruggs was much like the first; all Hunter Renfrow all the time.  He had another nine targets and out pace Bryan Edwards by five. Edwards has been more productive, but he has capped out at five targets in a game this year. Hard to rely on a guy not getting more than four or five targets per week.

I continue to be impressed with Josh Jacobs deployment in the passing game. When Las Vegas brought Kenyan Drake in, we all jumped to the conclusion that he’d be the pass catching back, but when healthy, Jacobs has been equally involved. Jacobs has played in seven games and if he had played a 17-game season this year, he’d be on pace for 60 targets and his previous season high was 45. Since returning from his injury, Darren Waller has 18 targets and that’s not going to change anytime soon.

MIA

As long as DeVante Parker and Will Fuller are out, here is the list of relevant pass catchers in Miami;

Jaylen Waddle, Myles Gaskin, Mike Gesicki

MIN

It’s almost like Minnesota realized after two weeks of not getting the ball to Justin Jefferson that getting him the ball works out well. They looked Jefferson’s way 11 times in this one and things went well. They still peppered Adam Thielen with seven targets too, a number he’s reached in every game this season.

It’s been a down year for Dalvin Cook in the passing attack, that’s for sure. He only has 28 targets to this point and this is a guy who’s had 63 and 54 the last two years respectively. He may get there ONLY because there’s one extra game on the schedule this season. Tyler Conklin continues to be heavily involved in the Vikings offense and by the looks of things, he’s entered in the Vikings circle of trust. He’s had five or more targets in four straight contests. He’s a borderline weekly start given the state of the tight end position.

NE

This receiving group continues to be a MESS in terms of targets, but how about a round of applause for Jakobi Meyers getting into the end zone? Nobody deserved it more than him.

With Damian Harris out, we saw what Rhamondre Stevenson is capable of carrying the rock 20 times while seeing five targets through the air. Brandon Bolden played a role in the passing game with three, but with Harris cleared to play in Week 11, how much of a role will both of them have? Touchdown machine Hunter Henry continues to, ya know, score touchdowns.

NO

Did we see a changing of the guard in terms of priority in Week 10? Not only was Tre’Quan Smith targeted the most in Week 10, he played the most snaps and ran the most routes amongst all the Saints wideouts. In week 9, both he and Marquez Callaway ran 42 routes, but Smith ran five more routes than Callaway in Week 10 and benefited greatly from them.

Anytime Alvin Kamara is out, Mark Ingram is going to be a viable replacement. He was heavily involved in every facet of the game like Kamara is. He not only got all the volume on the ground, but he had seven targets! The Saints have really begun to use Adam Trautman more and more as the season has gone on. He had another six targets in Week 10, which was the third consecutive week he’s done so. As long as Trevor Semien remains QB1 there’s no reason to think this type of production tails off.

NYG

Week 10 bye week.

NYJ

In Week 10, we saw the return of Corey Davis after a two week absence and it was like he never left as he led the receivers in targets. He played the most snaps too, but Jamison Crowder actually ran more routes. Elijah Moore, everyone’s darling, ran the third most routes of Jets receivers and he scored another touchdown. Things could drastically change in Week 11, however, with Joe Flacco drawing the start. Flacco isn’t someone that likes to check the ball down and he loves to show off his big arm, which benefits Davis the most. We’ll see how it impacts Crowder and Moore in the intermediate and short routes they’re running.

The move to Flacco likely doesn’t hurt anyone more than it hurts Michael Carter and Ty Johnson however. Carter has a whopping 31 targets over his last four games while Johnson has 24. With how fast Mike White gets the ball out of his hand and how long Flacco likes plays to develop downfield, this could really cap the upside in the passing game for the both of them.

PHI

DeVonta Smith SZN has arrived. Even in games in which Philadelphia doesn’t need to air it out, Smith is the clear-cut number one option. He’s had six targets in back-to-back weeks and they’ve both been negative game scripts. Sky’s the limit for game scripts that force Philly to put the ball in the air.

PIT

We all know Diontae Johnson is the alpha in this offense, but who would step up with Chase Claypool and JuJu Smith-Schuster sidelined? James Washington scored the touchdown and saw six targets, but Ray-Ray McCloud saw a whopping 12 targets. He came into Week 10 with 10 on the year. Anytime Claypool misses time for the remainder of the year, McCloud could hold some value in PPR formats.

The Steelers never take Najee Harris off the field. He’s a very capable pass catcher and is amongst the league leaders in targets for running backs, but he is definitely carried by that 19 target game from Week 3. In his last three games, the volume through the air has dipped notching 10 targets over that span. Volume for Pat Freiermuth, on the other hand, has steadily increased each week. He saw a season high nine targets in Week 10 and has had six in every game since week six. He’s positioned himself in the weekly TE1 discussion.

SEA

It’s not as if Russell Wilson didn’t try getting Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf the ball, because he did, there just wasn’t any production following. They both saw eight targets, but the team was shut out. Good to see Wilson healthy and good to see him looking at his two main guys, but we need the production for the remainder of the year.

I do not trust ANY Seahawks running back right now. They’re not involved in the passing game and truthfully, not all that involved in the running attack either. Maybe that’ll change if and when they get Chris Carson back. The jury is still out there. Wilson was actively targeting Gerald Everett in this one as he tied Metcalf and Lockett’s volume with eight targets. It was the first time all year Everett had more than five targets, so keep that in the back of your mind when you’re considering streaming him this week or any week moving forward.

SF

For the first time all year, Deebo Samuel saw less than eight targets in a game. That said, Samuel played a massive role in the rushing game, carrying the ball five times for 36 yards and a score, so the 49ers are just getting their most explosive weapon the ball as MUCH as possible. Brandon Aiyuk had four targets, but the most encouraging aspect was that he played the most snaps of all 49ers receivers and ran a route on all 21 of Garoppolo’s dropbacks.

Me, you and your Uncle Bob had the same amount of targets as San Francisco’s running backs. A big old donut. George Kittle, however, is all the way the hell back in our lives and is a weekly TE1 once again. Feels great.

TB

With Antonio Brown out, we figured it would be the Chris Godwin and Mike Evans show. Neither of them had bad games necessarily, but neither broke out and had massive games either. Evans saw only three targets and luckily for him and his fantasy managers he caught a long touchdown to salvage his day. Godwin was fine from a target perspective seeing eight looks, but he had double-digit targets in each of the last two games without Brown, so we figured he’d make it three straight. Tyler Johnson saw a nice role in this offense with five targets and if Brown and Rob Gronkowski continue to miss time, Johnson could sneak onto some deeper format rosters.

I never felt there was a need for Giovani Bernard in the Bucs offense because of how competent Leonard Fournette is and has been in the passing game. He had a season high nine targets in Week 10 and Bernard had just three and with Tampa Bay trailing from the outset, this setup for Bernard to have a big day, only it didn’t. Fournette, with this type of volume through the air, is a back end RB1 on a weekly basis. Cameron Brate scored a touchdown, but saw just three targets in this one.

TEN

This passing attack was GROSS in Week 10. Gross might be a nice way of putting it too. With Julio Jones on IR, it’s A.J. Brown and quite literally nobody else. To illustrate how horrifying things were for Tennessee’s passing attack, Geoff Swaim led the team with five targets.

WAS

We all had a brief love for Dyami Brown earlier in the season and then the brief stint in which Curtis Samuel was healthy, we were excited for that. At the end of the day, Terry McLaurin dominates the targets in this group and is the only one worth rostering.

It was great to see Antonio Gibson so heavily involved….except it all came on the ground. Two targets. Just 23 on the season. Through 10 weeks, J.D. McKissic has officially doubled up his targets with 46. Ricky Seals-Jones had a moderate role with four targets that will be sent into irrelevance once Logan Thomas returns.
