Welcome to the DFS Example Lineups for NFL Week 9!

Last week was a ton of fun as #FANation saw some big wins all over the place, from locking down wins in cash games to some big GPP wins across the major DFS sites. The week has been relatively quiet, though we've had a few issues pop up here and there. It doesn't appear that weather will play a factor this week like it did last week and it looks like we may have dodged a few COVID bullets, though we are still waiting to hear about Keenan Allen 's availability. He was a favorite of mine this week and I've really been into a Chargers stack so we're going to have to keep checking for news updates. One bit of good news, depending on how you look at it, is the return of Christian McCaffrey . Not sure if I will have a lot of exposure, but I do expect to use him in cash, simply because everyone else probably will. We'll check in with the DFS Ownership Report first.

Just a few notes here about the lineups below...

The cash lineups were built solely off the players I put in the Playbook. These are the guys who, unless I have indicated otherwise, offer up the higher floor and will help you cash in your Double-Ups and 50/50s. For GPP tournaments, particularly the large-field ones, you need to find alternative routes to the cash line. I will utilize players from the Playbook and the DFS Dart Board to fill in the gaps, but what I am looking for are some lower-owned stacks that make sense based on expected game flow and other news. You may also see in the GPP lineups, there may be some names I haven't discussed this week on the site, but have talked about during the week on the Fantasy Alarm Show on SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio. You will also notice, though, that others on the site have mentioned some of these players in places such as the position coaches, so it's not like we're trying to hide anything from you. The only time, and I mean the only time you will see a player in a GPP lineup who hasn't been discussed is if we are using a stack and need a player from the other team coming back. But it's rare when that happens.

Again, these lineups are meant to serve as examples for you. A sounding board if you will. They are not meant for you to plug in as your own. That's the lazy way and we don't condone it. We are trying to teach you how to be a better DFS player; we aren't lineup-sellers. You should be creating your own lineups using all the information we provide you throughout the week and then coming here to see if there is anything you may have missed or simply for an alternative perspective.

Best of luck to you this week and let's make some money!

SUNDAY MORNING NOTES:

We have added a COVID-19 Update piece to our weekly articles to help keep everyone informed as to what is going on with NFL game cancellations and postponements. We are waiting on Sunday morning results for Matthew Stafford , who I like but pulled out of the Playbook in case there was an issue, and Keenan Allen , who was sent home from practice with a sore throat and is currently awaiting more test results. Allen's issues popped up after teammate Brandon Facyson was placed on the reserve/COVID list, so if this is what's up, we may have to just pull him altogether as well.

UPDATE (9:25am ET): Adam Schefter is reporting that both Keenan Allen and Matthew Stafford tested negative for COVID-19 and both will play today

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Falcons believe it will be "tough" for Calvin Ridley (foot) to play in Week 9 against the Broncos.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Raiders RB Josh Jacobs (knee, illness) is expected to play in Week 9 against the Chargers.

Ravens promoted WR Dez Bryant from the practice squad. And the answer is no. I have zero interest in using him in any lineups today.

Washington activated WR Steven Sims (toe) from injured reserve.

Sammy Watkins (hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 9 against the Panthers.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports the Cowboys will start Garrett Gilbert in Week 9 against the Steelers.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott (hamstring) "has a good chance to play" in Week 9 against the Steelers.

More news will be posted as it comes in

I asked #FANation for some feedback the other day on our show on SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio and someone mentioned they liked the GPP Stack Suggestions I made last season and to please bring them back, so ask and ye shall receive. Thanks mad0110!

As a reminder, when you're stacking in GPP, you always want to run someone back from the opposing team. One-sided games often turn to a running back seeing higher-than-usual volume or the back-ups start to play. For a stack to really pop, the other team needs to keep things competitive.
