Philadelphia Phillies at Atlanta Braves

7:00 PM ET

Season Series: Phillies lead 5-3

Money Line: Braves -152; Phillies +140

O/U: 10.5

Pitching:

Zach Eflin , PHI – Not a fan of this match-up for the Phillies right-hander as the Braves are thumping righties to the tune of a .336 wOBA with a .197 ISO. They’ve also been strong on the bases and since Eflin pitches to a fair amount of contact (80.1% with a 1.25 WHIP), he could get distracted with runners on.

Mike Soroka , ATL – One of the better options on today’s slate. He’s thrown two quality starts in his last three outings with the one in between being a shortened outing as he was pulled after being hit on the forearm with a line drive. The strikeout rate has been a little low, but he minimizes the damage and it’s not like the Phillies have been lighting up the scoreboard much lately.

Hitters to Watch:

Brian McCann , C – cheap play behind the plate with strong numbers against righties this season. Just double-check that he’s the one behind the plate when the lineup is posted.

Freddie Freeman , 1B – He’s got eight hits in his last seven games with two doubles, one home run and four RBI. Mashing against righties this season with a .995 OPS and .411 wOBA against them.

Rhys Hoskins , 1B – Finding his groove again with hits in four of his last five games, including one double, one home run and three RBI. Owns a .369 wOBA against righties this season.

Josh Donaldson , 3B – Hit a three-run bomb yesterday and has hit safely in three of his last four games. Solid .874 OPS against righties this season.

Ronald Acuña Jr. , OF – Seven hits over his last four games with one double, one home run and one stolen base. Owns a .358 wOBA against right-handed pitching this season.

Nick Markakis , OF – Has three multi-hit performances over his last six games with a pair of doubles and one home run. Cheap enough for a one-off and makes for a good part of a stack.

Scott Kingery , OF – Cooled off a bit after a massive June surge but still has six hits over his last six games, including two doubles and a stolen base. Tough to argue against a .935 OPS and .393 wOBA versus right-handed pitching.

Boston Red Sox at Toronto Blue Jays

7:07 PM ET

Season Series: Red Sox lead 6-5

Money Line: Red Sox -110; Blue Jays -101

O/U: 9.5

Pitching:

Hector Velázquez , BOS – He’s never thrown more than four innings in any outing and owns a 5.31 ERA over 20 appearances this season. Is this the type of guy you want to put your trust into against a Blue Jays team that has a .405 wOBA with a .300 ISO over this past week and has averaged almost six runs per game over their last nine? I didn’t think so.

Opener - Derek Law , TOR; Long Reliever - Thomas Pannone , TOR Marcus Stroman has been scratched (chest) and the Blue Jays are electing to go with an opener in Derek Law . The most pitches we've seen out of law is 42 and the most innings he's notched in one outing is two. Not fantasy viable. Pannone has been in the minors as of the past few weeks and was stretched to six innings during his last Triple-A start, which was made on the 29th of June. Pannone allows a high flyball rate (47-percent) which is probably why his HR/9 sits at 1.54 this season. There will be fireworks this 4th of July and they'll likely be coming off of the Red Sox bats.

Hitters to Watch:

Cavan Biggio , 2B – Has five hits in his last three games with a pair of doubles, four RBI and a stolen base. His numbers against righties -- .925 OPS, .385 wOBA – are more than just solid.

Rafael Devers , 3B – Dude is on fire right now with hits in seven straight games and four multi-hit performances over that span, including seven doubles, two home runs and 10 RBI. Might need to just lock him down at the hot corner today.

Xander Bogaerts , SS – He owns a .900 OPS with a .380 wOBA against righties this season and who doesn’t like a little BvP every now and again? Against Stroman, he’s 11-for-36 (.306) with two home runs and a .368 wOBA.

Mookie Betts , OF – He’s hit safely in four-straight games and in seven of his last eight with one double, one homer and one stolen base. If you have the salary to spend on him, use it.

Lourdes Gurriel Jr. , OF – What’s not to love about a .911 OPS and .376 wOBA against righties this season, especially when the guy has hit safely in 10 of his last 11 games with three doubles and six home runs?

Los Angeles Angels at Texas Rangers

8:05 PM ET

Season Series: Angels lead 7-5

Money Line: Rangers -120; Angels +108

O/U: 10.5

Pitching:

Griffin Canning , LAA – Scratched from yesterday’s start simply because the team wanted to give him an extra day of rest. He’s pitched fairly well with four quality starts over his last eight outings and has never allowed more than four ruins in any start. The Rangers have been solid against right-handers this season, but over the last week, they’ve been way off their game, striking out 32.9% of the time and posting just a .234 wOBA with a super-weak .136 ISO.

Lance Lynn , TEX – The veteran righty has been impressive this season with nine quality starts over his last 10 outings and an 82:10 K:BB over 67.1 innings. The Angels have been playing some inspired ball since the passing of Tyler Skaggs , plating 15 runs over their last two games, but I’m still willing to give Lynn a look, especially with the Angels also having lost Tommy La Stella to the 10-day IL.

Hitters to Watch:

David Fletcher , 3B – Could be a real nice salary-saver here with hits in back-to-back games with one double and three runs scored. Probably works best in a wrap-around stack with Kole Calhoun atop the order, followed up by Trout and Ohtani.

Elvis Andrus , SS – Canning has those oddball reverse splits and has difficulty with some right-handed hitting. Andrus owns a .333 wOBA against righties and has hits in nine of his last 10 games.

Mike Trout , OF – well duh.

Shohei Ohtani , OF – He’s hit safely in three-straight games and in eight of his last nine. Over that span, he’s racked up four doubles, three home runs, five RBI and a stolen base. Hitting at Arlington will obviously help.

Joey Gallo , OF – Always in-play for GPP lineups given that 1.034 OPS against right-handed pitching this season.

San Diego Padres at Los Angeles Dodgers

9:10 PM ET

Season Series: Dodgers lead 4-1

Money Line: Dodgers -227; Padres +202

O/U: 8.5

Pitching:

Dinelson Lamet , SD – This is hist first start since undergoing Tommy John surgery last April. Would you trust him against these Dodgers bats? Probably not. He used to have a killer strikeout rate, but in all honesty, we have no idea what kind of a pitcher he’ll be when he finally takes the mound again. He’s also going to be on a pitch-count and innings limit, so I wouldn’t expect much out of him today.

Hyun-Jin Ryu , LAD – He had thrown 11-straight quality starts leading up to his shortened outing in Colorado last week and was just named the starter for the NL in the All-Star Game. While the Padres have been strong at the plate recently and have hit lefties well this season, they’re also striking out almost 26% of the time against them this season. If you’re going to pay up today, this is definitely the direction you want to go.

Hitters to Watch:

Dodgers Lefty bats – Pretty sure we can just lump Cody Bellinger , Max Muncy , Alex Verdugo , Joc Pederson and even Matt Beaty , depending on who is in the lineup. Even before TJ surgery, Lamet struggled against lefty hitters, so imagine what they could do to him and the over-worked bullpen that has posted a 5.27 ERA over 27.1 innings over the last seven days. Stack-a-licious!!!

Manny Machado , 3B – His numbers against left-handed pitching have been outstanding this season, posting a 1.326 OPS and a .529 wOBA, and he had six home runs in nine games leading up to his one-game suspension. If someone is going to get to Ryu at all, it should be him.

Fernando Tatis Jr. , SS – He’s hit safely in eight of his last nine games with one double, four home runs and eight RBI. For a rookie, his .473 wOBA against southpaws is extremely impressive.

Hunter Renfroe , OF – Surprisingly inexpensive on FD tonight given the .510 wOBA against lefties, but maybe that’s just because of facing Ryu. He makes for a solid play if you wanted to work in a contrarian Padres stack tonight.

With just four games on the Main Slate, we will only be looking at GPP example lineups today.
