You have been warned, this feels super chalky. What does this mean? Almost a guarantee for an upset in the LCK. Looking at the two matchups there is less of a gap between AF and DRX as compared to LSB and T1. I would say in your cash lobbies look for chalk carries and in your GPP… well go nuts. It is the LCK after all, anything is possible. This is our last day of just us and the LCK with no LPL and while we wipe away our tears… don’t be sad that is ending but be happy it happened. Just kidding we all missed the insanity that is the LPL! But let’s dive into these matches for Sunday!

Game #1 Afreeca Freecs v DRX

Cann’s Pick: DRX

Game #2 Liiv SANDBOX v T1

Cann’s Pick: T1

Captain

Favorite: Gumayusi (T1: $11,700) Think about this. Gumayusi has played 10 games less than the LCK kill leader Deft and is only down 29 kills (120 to 91) which blows my mind. Gumayusi is averaging almost 5 kills a game and less than two deaths (1.78). He is facing the new LSB bot laner (Prince) meaning there could be some serious growing pains for LSB. This could be a 2-0 match and that would mean an additional 45 points in this captain role as well. All things being transparent, there is also a real possibility that T1 goes with their own ADC (Teddy) instead and that would be pretty brutal for your lineup? chances.

Value Pick: FATE (LSB: $10,500) After watching 9 games of LSB I am convinced this is the only player worth anything on this team. He has the unbearable task of trying to carry the two side lanes kicking and scream to victory. He has the fourth highest kill totals in the LCK (63) and the highest percentage of team kills for players with over 10 games (24.4%). T1 is a sloppy team and even though it seems like they have a better grasp on their lineup, expect them to make some mistakes. These mistakes will give FATE opportunities to pick up some points for very cheap.

Top Lane

Favorite: Zeus (T1: $6,600) The transition to Zeus has been a more recent one with him only playing 8 total games so far. This means his kill numbers (19) aren’t as clear of an indication of actual production. He has almost a 3.5 KDA and has great transitions into late game teamfights (67.3% team kill participation). I think T1 should have an easier go in this match so this could be a safe pickup to secure decent points.

Value Pick: Kiin (AF: $6,000) This is a really solid value pick. Kiin and Kingen are pretty interchangeablei n terms of stats and production. The carrying comes out of the mid and bot lanes for DRX so less attention goes to the top lane. Kiin is averaging above a 2 KDA and leads in terms of gold and experience in the laning phase. Top lane has fallen away from the hard carries in the LCK so you could save yourself some money in this matchup by grabbing an underdog in this role.

Jungle

Favorite: Pyosik (DRX: $7,000) Pyosik is the assist leader for the LCK on this slate (123) and has a KDA of 3.1. He plays so well around SOLKA and BAO and playing against some of the weaker laners of AF. He is extremely gank heavy as seen through his 66% team kill participation rate versus his terrible gold and experience rates (both VERY negative). You pick Pyosik for the team fighting points which he will pick up in spades.

Value Pick: Dread (AF: $6,800) There is a reason why DKs has only a $200 difference between these two players. Dread is an absolute monster out of the jungle and a very real win condition for AF. He has 84 kills which is #1 on the slate for junglers but also third among ALL players playing today. He is responsible for 34.4% of all of AF’s kills and if these teams decide to start fighting it out, Dread is going to pick up his fair share of points.

Mid Lane

Favorite: Faker (T1: $7,400) It seems like T1 has settled for a lineup (for now?). Remember they do have the youngblood in Clozer so there is a chance that T1 subs Faker out. Faker has the second highest KDA among mid laners playing Sunday with a 4.4 and he has a total of 35 kills. I think FATE is a little more solo-carry focused, Faker looks to get involved in team play. He builds massive leads (Gold: +208 and Experience: +159) while in lane and then looks to impact in mid game skirmishes. I like T1 winning the series and that makes Faker all the more appealing.

Value Pick: SOLKA (DRX: $7,200) SOLKA has been consistently playing well and this was especially true in his matchup against T1 earlier this week. He has 44 kills but even more impressively he has 142 assists. He takes sacrifices in the laning phase but looks for the hallmark DRX late game teamfights to make his presence known. I like this pick because of how much DRX focuses on their carries and getting the win late in the game.

ADC

Favorite: BAO (DRX: $7,400) If you are an avid reader of my articles, you know how much I love BAO. He is nuts and most of his success comes from his game knowledge. He is where he needs to be at all times and rarely gets caught out. He has 103 total kills (DRX as a team has a total of 233) which shows his importance and impact on this team. Much like SOLKA, don’t expect for BAO to really go online until you get into the late game but when he hits his power spikes… watch out.

Value Pick: Prince (LSB: $6,800) You don’t find players this cheap in the ADC role. Prince is a new addition to the roster from over the LCK break. The bottom lane was the weakest part of LSB so if they are comfortable with running Prince out there, it may be worth the risk to see if they found their upgrade.

Support

Favorite: Keria (T1: $5,800) As the sole role with only 1 player for T1, there aren’t many lineups you should make that doesn’t have Keria on there. He should crest the 200 assist mark in this series (he is at 183) and supporting Gumayusi should provide him every possibility needed to do so. He is a participant in almost 70% of all of T1’s team kills which means you should be able to maximize on the late game teamfights that are sure to take place in the early game.

Value Pick: Lehends (AF: $5,200) While his lane partner (Bang) hasn’t had the same measured success, Lehends has had a really respectable split so far. He has 160 assists and focuses on roaming with his jungler (Dread) to get him ahead in small skirmishes. If Pyosik is not careful tomorrow, Lehends and Dread could take control over DRX’s half of the map really quickly. Great price on a difference making support here.

Team

Favorite: T1 ($5,400) T1 is averaging 45.7 FPPG this split which is best amongst all teams playing and they are playing the worst team in the LCK. As long as they do not try to switch up the roster and they play to their early game strengths, this is a lock for great points today.

Value Pick: Afreeca Freecs ($4,800) This is my upset pick for the slate. Afreeca Freecs has a HUGE advantage in the early game (EGR AF: 51.4 versus DRX: 36.8) and if they can get early fights around dragons and first herald we can see Dread snowball the match. If they allow Pyosik get SOLKA and BAO online post 15 minutes, this will be a tough go for AF. This series has a high likelihood of going a full three either way and with the sub $5k cost, it may be a decent way to save some cash.
