Fantasy Value Breakdown

Captain

Favorite: Ruler (GEN: $11,700) Gen.G is still a clear top three team, regardless of their 1-2 loss to DWG. His strength is the early game and picking up leads in gold, experience, and CSing. Another safety net for this pick is that of all of the roles for SANDBOX, ADC is one of the forgotten roles. The ADC role does have a tendency to be sub 64% team KP which is a staggering statistic. Neither dies a lot, but non participation makes me feel better about how the laning phase will play out for Gen.G.

Value Pick: SOLKA (DRX: $10,200) Now I am not advocating for you to heavily believe in SOLKA as a player. In all honesty, he is one of the weaker pieces for DRX. He is floating just under a 3 KDA but just hasn’t turned out the kills you would expect from a carry role (25 kills). This is probably the last “easy” game for the squad with matches against T1, DWG, and Gen.G still approaching so expect from DRX to try and make the most of this and lock down the 2-0.

Top Lane

Favorite: Rascal (GEN: $6,800) Gen.G is now into the softer portion of their schedule with no team who is more that 3 wins and only 1 would qualify for playoffs if the split ended today. With that in mind, Rascal is leading the LCK top laners in kills (37), first blood percentage (38%), and team CS percentage post 15 min (25.7%). What does this mean? He owns his lane. He works the side lanes and controls the 1v1. This could be a very big day for stat padding for Rascal here and could make this bigger top lane price tag worth it.

Value Pick: Nuguri (FPX: $6,200) In the game of coin flip top laners, I choose Nuguri. While both he and his opponent (TheShy) are mechanically skilled players, Nuguri excels in one thing… decision making. TheShy has such a high tendency to go too deep and get blown up with teammates around him which makes him a liability to your lineup. TheShy has 12 more kills (33-21) but also 12 more deaths (33-21). FPX will normally let Nuguri do his thing and he helps set up teamfights later. Much safer and smarter bet between the two.

Jungle

Favorite: Weiwei (V5: $7,400) This may be the slam lock of the week. Weiwei has 40+ kills while the two TT junglers have 15 combined. This will be a roll and it most likely won’t look pretty. If that didn’t convince you to lock Weiwei, then maybe his 76% team kill participation will? Or maybe the fact that you would need to total EVERY member of TT’s assist numbers to surpass the total assists by the V5 support. To the moon.

Value Pick: Xun (IG: $6,600) This is the way in for IG over FPX. Tian is being marked as out for tomorrow meaning this should be the easiest matchup. He is the kill leader for his team (60) and is only second to FPX’s ADC (Lwx) for kill leader in this match (73). He puts up some pretty wild numbers for a jungler and will have his work cut out for him, but I also know you won’t find him this cheap again.

Mid Lane

Favorite: Mole (V5: $7,800) As the casters for the LPL say, it is the year of the Mole. With 51 kills and 72 assists, he leads most LPL mid laners in key metrics. If you get a chance to watch these games and they pick him Zoe, it is absolutely over. The two mid laners for TT have a total of SIX combined kills. If the TT mid laners get a solo kill in this match up, I think it is time for Mole to think about retiring because this is such a huge production mismatch.

Value Pick: FATE (LSB: $6,400) For a mid laner whose team has only won 33% of their matches, FATE is producing at a staggering level. He currently is 36 kills, 17 deaths, and 76 assists as well as part of 75% of all of LSB’s kills. This is a riskier pick going into Bdd, but FATE has shown real poise in his other matches. I would say this pick is purely for saving dollars and you should try to find a bigger ticket player in this spot.

ADC

Favorite: Lwx (FPX: $7,600) Lwx is quickly becoming part of a small group of players I have for MVP watch. He has 73 kills to only 15 deaths and that makes him a lock for some big points. For IG, Wink and Baolan are good but are mistake prone which will give Lwx and FPX some opportunities to pick up some kills.

Value Pick: BAO (DRX: $7,200) There was a lot of hype lost with DRX when they lost to KT Rolster earlier this week, but I still think they are a decent team. BAO currently has 63 kills and Fredit BRION’s ADC (Hena) is at 36. BAO is somewhat death prone but usually is because of early pressure in lane. Luckily here, BRION shouldn’t be able to apply much of any pressure in this matchup.

Support

Favorite: Ppgod (V5: $5,800) Ppgod has third most assists in the league with 125 and V5 is going up against the clear pick for worst team in the LPL in TT. Ppgod is participating in almost 70% of all of V5’s kills and usually gains a gold lead early on in the game through roaming. He is death prone but he is averaging 52 FPPG which is a great pull for a support.

Value Pick: Baolan (IG: $4,800) Baolan is averaging almost 55 FFPG and over 100 assists on the season. He is very death prone, and into Lwx that is a scary possibility. The price here is what makes him appealing. IG will get their swings in and when they do, Baolan will be part of it.

Team

Favorite: Gen.G ($5,800) I do like LSB as a team and think they have some good pieces, but Gen.G is just too good. They are an objective focused team and are getting first blood in 77% of their games and are first to 3 turrets taken in 62% of their matches. LSB is also one of the worst ranked mid-late game teams in the league, making this a more appealing pick up.

Value Pick: Invictus Gaming ($4,800) OR FunPlus Phoenix ($5,000) I know this isn’t probably the normal pick here, but I think this game will be explosive. I personally think FPX is the 1st or 2nd best team in the LPL right now but DraftKings thinks this matchup is close. Both of these teams like to fight and skirmish and most of this game will boil down to how much faith you have in Rookie to make up for when TheShy loses his mind and tries to 1v5.
