Julian ChampagnieSTJNDPU920037.54
If you’re new to DFS, the last name of Champagnie will quickly become familiar. Julian is the stat-stuffing stud for St. John’s while his brother, Justin, is doing the same for Pittsburgh (he went off for 46 DK last night). The St. John’s version tonight, though, is firmly in play for all formats on the DK slate with the Johnnies playing in the highest-scoring and fastest-paced game in action. Champagnie is averaging 37 DK points over the last ten games as he’s racking up DFS production in all stat categories. His floor/ceiling combo is among the best in the country and his expensive price tag is certainly appropriate. Without many stud guards on this slate, he may be more popular than usual in cash games.
David DukePROVMARQ860036.07810032.86
As is the case whenever Providence is on the slate, David Duke is firmly in play in all formats with his impressive floor/ceiling combination. The Friars’ stud has seen a slight price reduction after regularly being above 9k on DK - but that’s just because he “only” put up 28 and 31 DK points over the last two games. For the majority of Big East play, though, he’s shown the ability to post 40 DK points or better with his all-around stats and scoring role for the offensive side. However, Duke is only a high-upside GPP play on this slate for a couple reasons. The recent emergence of Alyn Breed could continue to cut into Duke’s scoring role. Plus, this matchup vs. Marquette is likely one of the lower-scoring of the night - although he did put up 37 DK vs. them not too long ago.
Devontae ShulerMISSARK800027.82710025.45
During SEC play, Shuler is leading Ole Miss in usage rate and shot volume while also being the leading assist man for the Rebels. The senior is the clear alpha for this offense and he’s on a bit of a hot streak. He’s put up 30 or more DK points in five of the last seven games with 19+ points scored in five of those and game logs filled with ancillary stats. Schuler will undoubtedly have the ball in his hands a ton tonight in a tight matchup - and it’s even a pace-boost spot for Ole Miss with Arkansas playing at the fastest pace in the SEC and top-20 in the nation. We’ve seen opposing point guards have big games vs. ARK this season and Shuler should be the latest with the uptempo benefit.
D'Mitrik TriceWISCMD720026.66740024.68
Although this Wisconsin-Maryland game is one of the lowest totals of the night, Trice can still be a solid DFS play at affordable price tags in the high end. With the Badgers on the road here, their point guard will likely take on a bigger scoring role in addition to providing a floor of assists and rebounds. In road games this season, Trice is averaging 19.8 PPG and 31 DK PPG compared to his notably less 12.9 PPG and 25 DK PPG in home matchups. Plus, the senior will be ready to avenge Wisconsin’s earlier home loss to the Terps - a game in which he scored 25 points with 35 DK points. He’s the ideal GPP target amongst the expensive guards tonight with people probably ignoring in a low total.
Marcus ZegarowskiCRESHU690028.88700026.03
Need we remind everyone that Zegarowski is actually an 8k-caliber player and it’s only a matter of time until he returns to that price range where he was earlier in the season. A few sub-30 DK point performances and a recent injury have hurt his apparent DFS value a bit, but this is definitely the chance to buy low if both sites are letting us roster him at 7k. Although Denzel Mahoney and Damien Jefferson have taken on a bigger role for Creighton, Zegarowski is still the high-usage point guard who can easily go off for 30-40 DK points in any given night. When he first faced Seton Hall, he started out hot with 22 DK points in just 20 minutes before getting hurt. In the two games back, he’s put up 30 and 25 DK points and looks healthy following that hamstring injury. Buy low while you still can.

Shavar Reynolds Jr.SHUCRE500020.88510019.22
The 5k price range is filled with options tonight, but the best cash play among them might be Shavar Reynolds. The Seton Hall point guard is basically a lock for 15-20 DFS points with his consistent usage on the offensive end being a complimentary ball-handling piece to Sandro Mamukelashvili and Jared Rhoden’s scoring. It’s a bit worrisome that he only put up 4.25 DK points in the previous matchup vs. Creighton - but that was his worst game of the year as he went 0-for-3 from the floor with just one assist. That won’t happen again as he’s been regularly safe in every other outing.
Vince ColeSTJNDPU480017.47
The St. John’s-Creighton game is by far the highest-scoring and fastest-paced on the DK slate, and finding cheap value from the matchup could be critical. An injury situation to watch in this one is the status of Greg Williams Jr., who’s missed the last game-plus and is a game-time decision tonight. Reports show that Williams has been very limited in practice and his status is seriously in doubt here despite the GTD tag. In his absence, Vince Cole moved back into the starting lineup where he was at the beginning of the season. With the expanded offensive role and playing time, Cole put up 22.5 DK points in 23 minutes on Saturday with Williams out. That would make him a great value in this uptempo game.
CJ WalkerOSUPSU440019.23450017.93
After missing four games with a hand injury, Walker returned on Saturday and logged 23 minutes off the bench for the Buckeyes. He wound up with 16 DK points and a balanced stat line in the reserve role - and tonight, he could easily slot back into the starting lineup. Walker was OSU’s starting point guard before the injury and he likely came off the bench last outing only because it was his first game back. With a starter’s workload at the point in a big pace-boost matchup vs. Penn State, Walker could easily 5x his price tags as he’s way too underpriced on both sites.
Jamari WheelerPSUOSU430018.93540017.27
With Myles Dread out the last two games, Wheeler has stepped into 35 minutes in both outings and his DFS value is a lot safer in the increased role. The senior was already a regular starter for Penn State before Dread’s absences, but the expanded minutes have helped him put up 19 and 22 DK points in these last two outings with plenty of ancillary stat production for a solid cash floor. Dread will be a game-time decision tonight and if he’s out again, Wheeler is firmly in play for cash games. Even if Dread is back, though, he could be limited and Wheeler is still an option with his cheap salaries because of his solidified starting role. His DK pricing is a notable bargain compared to FD.
Hunter CattoorVTND430015.71
One of the biggest storylines on the DK slate tonight will be how Virginia Tech replaces the suspended Tyrece Radford in not only the starting lineup but also in the rotation overall. An obvious fill-in choice is Hunter Cattoor, who should see an uptick in minutes and usage with Radford out. Cattoor and Jalen Cone have been Tech’s top bench players this season - but it’s the former who owns the higher DFS floor with his ancillary stat production while Cone is more scoring-dependent. Cattoor actually started the first two games of the year and we could see him move back amongst the starters to fill that shooting guard spot. He’s way too cheap on the DK slate either way as he’ll still have a big role off the bench.

Other Guards to Consider:

  • Jalen Tate - Arkansas ($8,700 DK / $5,800 FD)

  • Denzel Mahoney - Creighton ($7,400 DK / $7,000 FD)

  • David Johnson - Louisville ($7,300 DK / $6,600 FD)

  • Jarkel Joiner - Mississippi ($6,300 DK / $6,000 FD)

  • Alyn Breed - Providence ($6,100 DK / $5,700 FD)

  • Darryl Morsell - Maryland ($5,400 DK / $4,700 FD)

  • Mitch Ballock - Creighton ($4,900 DK / $4,500 FD)

  • Desi Sills - Arkansas ($4,400 DK / $5,900 FD)

  • Jalen Cone - Virginia Tech ($4,200 DK Only)

Sandro MamukelashviliSHUCRE900035.08820032.20
Not much analysis needed for Sandro Mamukelashvili at this point. He’s one of the best DFS big men in the country with one of the highest floors of anyone. Sandro is a clear focal point for Seton Hall’s offense and he’s shown 40+ DK point potential when he’s at his best - like last time out vs. Villanova with an impressive stat line of 23 points, nine rebounds and five assists. When he faced Creighton earlier this season, Mamu had 29 DK points in a game that Seton Hall lost by 36 points. Expect this rematch to be closer and Sandro to be featured heavily on the offensive end.
E.J. LiddellOSUPSU750028.7780027.29
Big Ten bigs have all had their turn with smash performances vs. Penn State - from Trayce Jackson-Davis to Kofi Cockburn to Hunter Dickinson to Trevion Williams - and Liddell should be the latest to benefit in this matchup. Although he’s a bit smaller than those guys, Liddell is still a top-tier post scorer and rebounder who owns a big ceiling when he’s dominating. The sophomore has 30+ DK point potential when he gets his touches down low - something he’s done five different times in the last nine games. He’s scored 20 or more real points with seven boards and 33 or more DK points in two of the last three - and we could easily see that stat line tonight.
Keve AlumaVTND720028.16
Aluma is coming off his worst game of the year with just 12.5 DK points and two points scored on 1-for-10 shooting from the field vs. Syracuse on Saturday. The dud effort has now lowered his price tags to a very targetable range - especially with Aluma taking on a bigger offensive role moving forward. Virginia Tech has suspended Tyrece Radford - a big absence that has to result in larger shot volume and usage for Aluma as Tech’s most proven weapon. Plus, Aluma should have an advantage down low vs. a poor rebounding team in Notre Dame - a team he put up 36 DK points and a double-double against earlier this year. We’ll gladly take the discount in this huge bounce-back spot for all formats.
Darious HallDPUSTJN620020.21
It wasn’t too long ago when Darious Hall was priced below 5k and was a great value play with DePaul dealing with frontcourt absences. Now, Hall’s role is more solidified with four straight starts and Jaylen Butz recently transferring away - and he’s a high-upside GPP option on the DK slate. In what should be a high-scoring and uptempo game, Hall’s rebounding gives him a ton of value against a St. John’s team that’s among the worst in the Big East on the glass. Hall is DePaul’s best rebounder right now and he’s racked up 24 total boards over the last three games while starting. In those outings, he also put up 31 and 25 DK points with plenty of ancillary stat production despite not being a high-volume scorer. He’s one of the top GPP targets in DK’s highest total.

Justyn MuttsVTND550019.39
Plain and simple: Notre Dame is a terrible rebounding team following John Mooney’s graduation this past offseason. During ACC play, the Irish are the second-worst at offensive rebounding and below average on the defensive boards despite having two players at 6-foot-10 and 6-foot-11 in their regular rotation. On the Virginia Tech side of things, Justyn Mutts is now the team’s second-best rebounder (next to Keve Aluma) with Tyrece Radford out of the mix with his suspension. Mutts will certainly take on a bigger rebounding role tonight and moving forward - and his DFS value is safe for cash games in this matchup. He had 25 DK points with a 14-and-7 line in the previous meeting and could easily do that again.
Justin LewisMARQPROV510019.32550018.11
It’s not too often we see a bench player lead his team in both overall usage rate and shot rate when he’s on the court - but that’s the case for Justin Lewis. As Marquette’s sixth-man, Lewis is a focal point when he’s out there for 20-25 minutes in a super-sub role. His team-high usage and shot rates haven’t changed during conference play and that high involvement makes him an attractive value play as long as he stays under 6k on both sites. Lewis has shown the ability to post 20 or more DK points on numerous occasions, including vs. Providence in the first meeting when he had 28 DK points. You could do a lot worse in this price range for cash or GPP.
John HarrarPSUOSU500019.68480018.41
Since Penn State recently returned from a COVID break, John Harrar has been one of the bright spots for the Nittany Lions. In the last four games following that layoff, PSU’s big man has double-digit rebounds in three of those outings with DFS performances of 40, 26 and 22 DK points. The time off seems to have definitely benefited Harrar as his rebounding has taken a significant step forward. PSU will need his size tonight as the team’s only true big man vs. Ohio State’s tougher frontcourt. He’s a solid cash play on both sites with 4x to 5x value or better.
Romeo WeemsDPUSTJN490020.54
Just a month ago, Weems was priced at $7600 on DK after coming off a 36 DK point performance vs. Providence. He looked poised to be a key playmaker on the wing for DePaul this season with Jaylen Butz transferring away and not much proven returning talent outside of Charlie Moore in the backcourt. However, Weems has gone over 20 DK points just twice in the six games since and his salary has thus dropped below 5k in a weird turn of events. He’s admittedly shooting very poorly right now despite being a regular starter - but this price tag is way too low to ignore tonight. This matchup vs. St. John’s will be a high-scoring one and Weems could easily go off for 20 points scored and 30+ DK points if he’s making his shots - something he did just three games ago. He’s worth a look in GPP’s.

Other Forwards to Consider:

  • Moses Moody - Arkansas ($8,900 DK / $7,900 FD)

  • Nate Watson - Providence ($6,800 DK / $7,300 FD)

  • Aamir Simms - Clemson ($6,600 DK / $6,200 FD)

  • Micah Potter - Wisconsin ($5,600 DK / $5,700 FD)

  • Kyle Young - Ohio State ($5,300 DK / $4,600 FD)

  • Justin Ahrens - Ohio State ($5,000 DK / $4,200 FD)

  • Jimmy Nichols Jr. - Providence ($4,600 DK / $4,300 FD)

  • Ryan Kalkbrenner - Creighton ($4,500 DK / $4,500 FD)
