David Duke | PROV | MARQ | 9000 | 37.17 | 8400 | 34.07
While he doesn’t receive the same national praise as other stud college basketball players, David Duke deserves to be a top DFS target any time Providence is on the slate moving forward. He’s appropriately the most expensive option on both sites tonight, and he owns one of the best fantasy floors of anyone in action. As the Friars’ go-to scorer and top overall playmaker, he’s a nightly threat to put up 40+ DK points - something he’s done in three of the last four games with balanced stat production every time out. This matchup tonight should not scare us as Marquette owns the worst defense in the Big East since conference play began - and Duke should take advantage. He’s good for cash or GPP on this slate.
Cade Cunningham | OKST | KU | 8500 | 34.7 | 8200 | 31.81
The presumed #1 NBA Draft pick is always in play any time Oklahoma State is on the slate - and the Cowboys will need him to be at his best in this tougher matchup vs. Kansas. The freshman plays a point-forward role for OK State and he leads the team in usage rate, shot volume, defensive rebounding and assist rate since Big 12 play began. That production across multiple stat categories keeps his DFS floor pretty safe - and his ceiling is in the 40+ DK point range if he’s scoring 20+ real points. He’s more of a GPP play on this slate, though, because the Jayhawks could end up limiting him enough so that he doesn’t pay off his hefty price tags.
Herbert Jones | ALA | UK | 7400 | 28.58 | 6400 | 26.26
With how fast-paced Alabama plays and how high-scoring the Tide games tend to be, we should be looking heavily at their games whenever they’re on the slate. The only issue has been trying to pinpoint which of the Bama players is the best DFS option game-to-game. Lately, it’s Herbert Jones who’s taken on a bigger offensive role with Jahvon Quinerly out - and the point-forward is the best play for cash or GPP with a solid floor/ceiling combo. Jones owns the highest usage rate and shot volume for Alabama in conference play with Quinerly out - and he’ll be needed in this matchup vs. a Kentucky team that’s playing better lately.
Tre Mann | UF | MISS | 7300 | 29.34 | 7200 | 26.44
With Florida trying to figure out life after Keyontae Johnson, it’s Tre Mann who’s taken on a bigger offensive role and he’s been more consistent than Scottie Lewis in the backcourt. He provides a solid DFS floor of rebounds, assists and steals - and his increased scoring role gives him 30+ DK point upside. The Gators have struggled in recent matchups vs. Alabama and Kentucky - but this should be a get-right spot at home. In this paced-up matchup vs. Ole Miss, expect Mann to provide a solid cash game floor with GPP upside at affordable price tags. |

Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG | FD $ | FD FPPG
Kerwin Walton | UNC | SYR | 5200 | 10.66 | 4400 | 9.41
Since joining the Tar Heels’ starting lineup, Walton has become a much safer DFS play with his increase in playing time and offensive role. The freshman has now started the last three games and he’s posted DK point totals of 21, 19 and 24 in those outings. In this three-game span, Walton has shot 10-for-19 from three-point range as he’s turned into UNC’s best deep ball threat. That three-point shooting will make him valuable once again vs. Syracuse’s zone defense that funnels a lot of scoring to the perimeter. As long as he’s priced in the 5k range or lower, he’s a solid value play for all formats - and he’ll surely be chalky on FD with that $4400 salary.
Avery Anderson III | OKST | KU | 5200 | 18.44 | 5700 | 17.06
Ever since Avery Anderson entered the starting lineup four games ago, he’s been a solid DFS play and his salaries keep him affordable still. The sophomore is averaging about 24 DK points per game over the last four games while starting. His production across all stat categories and increased offensive role keeps his DFS floor fairly safe. He’s emerged as Oklahoma State’s third ball-handler behind Case Cunningham and Isaac Likekele - and the Cowboys will need his versatile playmaking and defense to win this one vs. Kansas.
Tyree Appleby | UF | MISS | 5100 | 18.25 | 4700 | 16.04
Florida is still trying to figure out the right lineups since losing Keyontae Johnson for the season - and Appleby is the latest to emerge as a significant contributor. The former transfer had been operating as the Gators’ sixth-man off the bench, but he entered the starting rotation for the first time on Saturday - replacing Noah Locke in the lineup. Although he only had 13 DK points in 23 minutes, it’s encouraging that Appleby had a team-high 29% usage rate in the game in his new starter role. He’s only a week removed from a performance of 18 points scored and 34 DK points vs. Alabama as well - so the upside is there for someone priced in the 5k range.
Matthew Murrell | MISS | UF | 3200 | 9.08 | 3600 | 7.93
Ole Miss has shifted its starting lineup around lately and it’s resulted in Murrell being a solid value play with an insanely cheap price tag. The freshman has now started the last two games over Jarkel Joiner - and he’s coming off a 21 DK point performance over 25 minutes on Saturday. The move into the starting rotation has certainly raised his DFS value into the cash range - and there’s no reason for him to be priced below 5k on both sites tonight. The savings should make him pretty chalky for cash games - especially because his three-point shooting plays well vs. Florida’s defense that doesn’t defend the perimeter well so far. |

Matthew Hurt | DUKE | VT | 8700 | 35.68 | 8300 | 33.07
Duke’s freshman-heavy rotation has been a bit inconsistent this season from a DFS perspective - but Matthew Hurt is the only one who’s a regular fantasy stud almost every game. He’s put up 34 or more DK points in all three ACC matchups so far with his team-leading usage rate and shot volume during conference play. Hurt was already a good play with Jalen Johnson active - and he’s taken on an even bigger offensive responsibility with Johnson out recently. Even if Johnson returns tonight - which doesn’t seem too likely - we can roster Hurt with confidence in all formats with his steady production.
Jalen Wilson | KU | OKST | 7800 | 28.81 | 7100 | 26.79
Since Oklahoma State plays at a top 50 pace in the country, we should look towards the Kansas side of things for the tempo boost with added DFS production. The Jayhawks’ best option this season has been standout freshman Jalen Wilson - who provides fantasy value across all stat categories for a usually safe floor of points. In particular, his rebounding and versatile scoring ability should play well in this pace-up matchup that should be back-and-forth. Since Wilson “only” put up 25 DK points last time out, we get a slight discount on him tonight - but he should return to his 30-35 DK point production from the previous three games.
Day'Ron Sharpe | UNC | SYR | 7700 | 25.86 | 6700 | 24.18
North Carolina has made a couple recent changes to its starting lineup - and it’s resulted in Day’Ron Sharpe being even more valuable for DFS purposes. The freshman big man has now started the last three games over Garrison Brooks and we should continue to see him among the starters with how well he’s playing. He exploded for 25 points scored and nine rebounds vs. Notre Dame two games ago, and then followed up with 12 points and 16 boards a week ago - giving him 38 DK points in both outings while starting and being more involved on both ends. The UNC offense is starting to feature him more and his DFS ceiling has thus raised a ton. Considering the price differential, though, he’s a better FD play tonight.
Nate Watson | PROV | MARQ | 7300 | 30.48 | 7600 | 28.85
The bulk of Providence’s DFS production usually revolves around David Duke in the backcourt and then Nate Watson down low. As one of the best big men in the Big East, Watson can take advantage of any opposing frontcourt with his elite rebounding skills and solid post scoring in the paint. He’s coming off a whopping 39 DK points vs. Xavier over the weekend when he had 17 points scored and 14 boards - his third double-double in conference play. The Marquette defense is not a tough matchup for Watson and Providence - and we can trust the center for cash or GPP at a very affordable price point. |

David McCormack | KU | OKST | 5500 | 20.96 | 4600 | 18.81
With Kansas boasting so much talent in the backcourt and on the wings, the overlooked Jayhawk has been McCormack more often than not. However, the junior center actually leads the team’s regulars in offensive usage rate and shot volume during conference play when he’s on the court - which is usually about 25 minutes per game. He was dominant vs. West Virginia a few weeks ago when he went off for 35 DK points and a double-double - and it’s encouraging that we’ve seen a repeat of that performance since. Two games ago, McCormack went for 36 DK points with his 20 points scored and eight boards vs. TCU. He’s a bit too cheap for what his GPP upside can be - and he’s a solid value on both sites in what will be an uptempo matchup for Kansas with plenty of rebounding opportunity.
Anthony Duruji | UF | MISS | 5300 | 14.22 | 4800 | 13.21
As long as the sites continue to price Duruji in the 5k range, we should take advantage and roster him while he’s still this affordable. The Louisiana Tech transfer has moved into the Gators’ starting lineup in the four games since Keyontae Johnson’s injury - and his DFS value has subsequently raised into the comfortable cash level. Over the last four games, Duruji has put up at least 19 DK points each time and he’s averaged 23.3 DK points in 30 minutes per game with a notable uptick in usage and shot volume. His DFS floor is pretty safe with his rebounding and defensive stats - and he’s still too cheap for how solid he’s been since Johnson’s absence.
Keion Brooks Jr. | UK | ALA | 5200 | 28.5 | 6800 | 27.20
After missing the first nine games of the year due to a calf injury, Brooks finally made his season debut over the weekend and he did not disappoint. In 25 minutes off the bench, the sophomore put up 28.5 DK points with his solid stat line of 12 points, six rebounds, four assists and two blocks/steals. It’s certainly very encouraging to see him be that much involved in his first game back - especially since the reports prior suggested he wouldn’t play a major role right away. We can throw that out the door as Brooks should now become a more central figure in Kentucky’s offense considering the inconsistent play they’ve gotten from Brandon Boston, Olivier Sarr and others. He’s still a solid value on DK but his FD price tag puts him more in the GPP range.
Wendell Moore Jr. | DUKE | VT | 5000 | 14.4 | 4200 | 13.02
One of the key injury situations to monitor tonight is the status of Duke big man Jalen Johnson. In the last two games with Johnson out, Wendell Moore has seen a notable increase in playing time and offensive role - and the recent surge now puts him back into play for DFS. After being demoted to the bench before the Johnson injury, it looked like Moore would be falling way behind in Duke’s pecking order of playmakers. He exploded for 25 points scored and 39 DK points two games ago, though, and seems to have a safer rotational role for the Blue Devils as long as Johnson remains out - which seems likely at least for one more game. |
