Marcus Carr | MINN | MSU | 9500 | 41.11 | 8700 | 38.53
This Minnesota-Michigan State game is by far the highest-scoring of the three-game slate and it makes Carr the clear-cut stud option for cash and GPP lineups. He has arguably the highest DFS floor and ceiling of any player in action tonight and he’ll likely be highly-owned in all formats. He’s coming off back-to-back 30-point scoring outings and is averaging 24.6 PPG so far in the Gophers’ fast-paced attack. In this matchup of two uptempo teams, Carr should thrive to put up DFS production across the board like he did vs. Iowa last time out. Lock him into cash lineups tonight.
McKinley Wright IV | UC | AZ | 7700 | 31.96 | 7700 | 31.16
With Carr in a tier of his own on this slate, it gets tricky when deciding which second stud to plug in for cash or GPP lineups. One of the safest options is Wright, who runs the point for Colorado and should be heavily involved in a tight one vs. Arizona. The senior is now the Buffs’ top offensive option with Tyler Bey gone and his higher usage usually results in stat-stuffed DFS performances - providing a safe floor and reasonable ceiling too. He’s got 35+ DK points in five of seven games and these salaries would make him a bargain with that type of outing.
WISC | MD | 7000 | 24.33 | 6600 | 22.68
Trice has seen a notable salary boost following his 29 real points and 40 DK points vs. Michigan State last time out at just $5500 on DK. Although that scoring outburst has put him more into the GPP price range, he has potential on this shorter slate to be one of the highest-scoring players overall once again. Maryland’s three-point defense is poor and Trice is shooting 41% from deep this season with the most three-point shot attempts on the team thus far. He could easily get hot from the perimeter like he did last game and be a low-owned tournament winner. |

Rocket Watts | MSU | MINN | 5500 | 20.22 | 5400 | 18.61
On such a short slate, we should be targeting this Michigan State game as much as possible - and Watts presents a very affordable way to do it on both sites. The Spartans’ point guard has had a couple below-average performances in the last two games, which has resulted in a salary discount tonight. Still, though, Watts leads the team in assist rate and shot volume rate and is second in usage rate as he mostly runs the MSU point. He’s just way too cheap for his legit, proven role in the clear-cut highest-tempo game of the slate. Watts should be popular in cash for the bounceback spot.
Gabe Kalscheur | MINN | MSU | 4800 | 16.89 | 5700 | 15.62
Yet another cheap way to get exposure to the highest-scoring and highest-tempo game of the night - and it comes to us from Minnesota now. Kalscheur is the starting shooting guard for the Golden Gophers and has a solid 15-20 DK point floor with his steady production in most stat categories in 25-30 minutes or more. His FD price is more representative of his value on this slate - but he’s way too cheap on DK and can be a great cash option there. The junior is coming off a 21 DK point outing in a similarly fast-paced game vs. Iowa and he could easily replicate that tonight.
UC | AZ | 4100 | 14.25 | 4400 | 11.22
Admittedly, Colorado’s rotations are a little tough to predict right now and it makes almost every Buffs player a GPP play - outside of McKinley Wright. On both sites, though, Schwartz is a bit too cheap for his increased role. The senior has moved into the starting lineup for the last four games and his minutes have risen in each outing - culminating in a season-high 27 minutes most recently. Schwartz has been able to produce across all stat categories to usually put up 15-20 DK points in these starts and that type of DFS outing makes him a solid value at an oddly depressed salary. |
Other Guards to Consider:
James Akinjo - Arizona ($7,200 DK / $6,300 FD)
Brad Davison - Wisconsin ($6,200 DK / $6,300 FD)
Darryl Morsell - Maryland ($5,900 DK / $5,900 FD)
Joshua Langford - Michigan State ($5,000 DK / $4,700 FD)

Aaron Henry | MSU | MINN | 7600 | 31.06 | 6700 | 28.79
Going back to the game to target on this slate and Michigan State has two studs we should look heavily at in all formats. Joey Hauser is also great on both sites, but Aaron Henry might end up being the better DFS play in this faster-paced matchup. The junior plays a point-forward role at times for the Spartans as he leads the team in offensive usage rate and is second in shot volume and assist rates. We’ve seen him eclipse 35 DK points four times already this season and his salary is lower than normal because of two down outings lately. This should be a bounceback spot for Henry to get back to 30 or more DFS points on both sites as a solid cash play with GPP upside.
Azuolas Tubelis | AZ | UC | 7100 | 17.89 | 5900 | 16.57
It’s tough to get a good read on Arizona’s rotations and DFS production because the ‘Cats have only played one Power 5 opponent thus far. Now entering conference play, though, we should see Tubelis emerge as a more prominent offensive threat for this team. The true freshman leads Arizona in usage rate and has been very productive when he’s been on the court - but that’s the issue. Tubelis was coming off the bench until last game, when he entered the starting rotation and promptly had his best DFS performance of the year with 33 DK points in a season-high 29 minutes. We could see him crack the starting unit once again and become more involved for Zona’s offense. He’s a great GPP play on this slate with people likely fading him.
Micah Potter | WISC | MD | 6800 | 25.78 | 6500 | 23.81
If Potter played 30 minutes regularly, he’d be a DFS stud on every slate and an easy cash play. However, Wisconsin seems content on rotating a deep lineup with Potter not logging more than 28 minutes in any game thus far. When he’s on the court, though, the senior big man is so efficient in DFS value with his team-leading usage rate and high shot volume - while also shooting 50% from three-point range. He should be good for 25+ DK points, which has become a regular occurrence for him. There’s upside against a Maryland frontcourt that should struggle to defend his versatile game. |

Nate Reuvers | WISC | MD | 5300 | 20.08 | 4500 | 18.73
Remember when Reuvers was Wisconsin’s most expensive DFS option at the beginning of the season? That seems like forever ago as Micah Potter has surpassed him as the Badgers’ best big man and Reuvers has struggled to even eclipse 15 DK points recently. Still, this is a great buy-low spot for the 6-foot-11 senior and he makes for a great GPP play at a depressed salary. Despite seeing limited playing time and offensive role, the path to 20+ DK points is always there for him - and he could get there tonight. Reuvers is shooting 43% from deep this season and will face a Maryland defense that struggles to defend the perimeter.
Malik Hall | MSU | MINN | 4500 | 17.69 | 5500 | 16.60
Yet another way to get exposure to MSU-MINN and Malik Hall is a very good cash or GPP play on this slate. Although Thomas Kithier starts over Hall for the Spartans, it’s the latter who gets the bulk of minutes at power forward - and his higher salary certainly indicates that. As a different type of sixth-man, Hall has the potential to provide 15-20 DK points easily in an uptempo game like tonight’s. This is a great buy-low spot for a guy who is priced down from a dud outing last game - but can be a nice salary-saver on a short slate.
Isaiah Ihnen | MINN | MSU | 4200 | 13.11 | 5000 | 12.10
It seems like Ihnen has been appearing more and more in these playbooks - and why not if he’s going to be so affordable? The sophomore has now started three of the last four games and had been trustworthy for 15-20 DK points - or more - with his recent uptick in playing time. He’s now priced down after just 11 DK points last game with position-mate Brandon Johnson going off. Still, it’s buy-low time for Ihnen who could easily return 4x production at these salaries on both sites in a high-scoring affair tonight. |
