TOP PLAYS

Reggie Perry - Mississippi State ($9,000 DK Only)

If you’re playing on DraftKings today, one of the best overall plays is Mississippi State center Reggie Perry. We say it all the time with Perry - he’s one of those college players who’s simply so much better at home this season and we can more safely pay up for him on this slate because he’s at home. Perry is averaging 41 DK points at home this year compared to just 31 DK points on the road. That’s a huge difference for a player as expensive as him, and it definitely makes him more attractive today than on other past slates. Plus, Perry should have a leg-up in his matchup vs. Ole Miss and their undersized frontcourt that allowed him to rack up 35 DK points, 24 points scored and eight rebounds in the first meeting - and that performance came on the road.

Cole Anthony - North Carolina ($8,700 DK / $8,200 FD)

There’s no question which game is the headliner on this slate and it involved a high-scoring, intense rivalry matchup between Duke and UNC. And even though the Tar Heels are projected to lose by double-digits, they still will score more than a lot of other teams on the slate and they’ll benefit from facing the ACC’s fastest tempo team. North Carolina’s best player is Cole Anthony, who has returned to being a DFS stud despite missing a chunk of the season with a knee injury, and Roy Williams seems content on letting him take a ton of shots and be the main ball-handler in a season that’s all but over - and what choice do they have with so many injuries and inconsistent play? Anthony has now put up 45+ DK points and 25+ real points in back-to-back games as he sees high shot volume and usage in the offense. When he faced Duke earlier, Anthony also put up 45 DK points with his 24 points scored, 11 rebounds and four assists. Win or lose, we can bank on the true freshman being very productive.

Tre Jones - Duke ($8,500 DK / $7,800 FD)

As mentioned, this Duke-UNC game is the one to target overall on this slate and the Blue Devils’ DFS production starts and ends with their sophomore point guard. Tre Jones is averaging 34 DK points over the last ten games and his floor and ceiling are both so consistently high because of his high-usage role as the lead ball-handler, second-best scorer and lock-down defender. When Duke met UNC earlier this year, we saw Jones put up 48 DK points in the overtime win with 28 points scored, six assists, five rebounds and three steals on a whopping 25 shot attempts. Today’s game could easily turn into a battle of the point guards with Jones and Cole Anthony going head-to-head. There’s a path to getting both in your lineups - as you’ll see below - and that could be the way to go for cash games to lock down that production.

Tyrique Jones & Naji Marshall - Xavier (FD Only)

If you’re playing on FanDuel today, we should lock in one or both off Tyrique Jones and Naji Marshall as they are both two of the clear studs on that smaller slate - and both should be the focal points of Xavier’s offense as the team needs wins to get into the NCAA Tournament. Jones ($7,900) should have some extra motivation with it being Senior Night - and he’s been a double-double machine anyway. He recently strung together nine straight double-doubles and he put up 36 FD points against Butler earlier this season when he had 19 points scored, 10 boards, two assists and a block. That stat line is basically par for the course for Jones and we should expect more of the same at home today. Meanwhile, Marshall ($7,700) is Xavier’s main ball-handler and scorer as a point-forward type and a mismatch against most opposing defenses. He also had impressive numbers against Butler before, with 41 FD Points and a 20/7/7 stat line. Marshall has now scored 20+ points in three straight and he always provides a consistent floor of rebounds and assists too. Although this game has a lower total, we can still target both Jones and Marshall for cash and GPP because of their high usage in the Xavier offense.

Others to Consider:

  • Mason Jones - Arkansas ($8,800 DK Only)

  • Vernon Carey - Duke ($8,300 DK / $7,600 FD)

  • Tres Tinkle - Oregon State ($8,200 DK Only)

  • Lamar Stevens - Penn State ($8,100 DK Only)

  • Luwane Pipkins - Providence ($6,700 DK / $5,900 FD)

VALUE PLAYS

Brock Cunningham - Texas ($5,100 DK / $4,200 FD)

Who else played Brock Cunningham on Tuesday when he min-price on DK? We suggested him - and he rewarded us with a slate-breaking 26 DK points. His DK salary has risen more than $2,000 now, but he’s still a very good value on that site and is still cheap enough on FD. Cunningham is benefiting a ton from more playing time lately because Texas is dealing with injuries to Jericho Sims, Jase Febres, Donovan Williams and Gerald Liddell - all of whom should be out again today. In their absences, we’ve seen Cunningham’s minutes and role on both ends continue to increase and it all culminated with his breakout game last time out. On the road against Oklahoma, the freshman recorded season-highs in minutes (32), points scored (8) and rebounds (11). Despite barely playing for most of the season, Cunningham’s emergence as a legit player is a big reason why Texas has won five straight and played themselves into the bracket and off the bubble.

Steven Enoch - Louisville ($5,000 DK / $4,700 FD)

One of Louisville’s best players, Malik Williams, is doubtful to play today and that will force Steven Enoch into more playing time - raising his DFS floor to a very safe level. Williams hurt his ankle over a week ago and sat out the Cardinals’ last game on Sunday. We should expect him to be out again today as Louisville will need him healthy for the NCAA Tournament. With Williams out last game, Enoch moved back into the starting lineup and he logged close to a season-high in minutes (28) while putting up 22 DK points. Enoch and Williams were basically splitting playing time at center when both were healthy - and one benefits a lot when the other is out. Louisville will also need Enoch’s size against a taller Virginia frontcourt - he had 15.5 DK points in 21 minutes when these teams met earlier this year.

Edric Dennis - TCU ($4,600 DK / $4,400 FD)

Dennis has started the last three games while TCU has dealt with some injuries - and his salaries are not reflective of his recent production. The senior has put up at least 21 DK points in all three of his recent starts and he’s coming off a performance on Wednesday when he went 6-for-10 from three-point range and scored a season-high 18 points. Dennis had been filling in for the injured RJ Nembhard, and it was interesting to see him start in that last outing despite Nembhard being active. Nembhard played just 12 minutes in his first game back from a groin injury, and it remains to be seen how much playing time he gets today. Still, we should expect Dennis to continue playing a lot because of how good he’s been. Plus, the matchup against Oklahoma favors Dennis and his 35% three-point shooting during conference play - the Sooner defense allows opposing Big 12 teams to score the highest percentage of points from deep.

Darious Hall - DePaul ($4,200 DK / $4,100 FD)

With Paul Reed missing the last two games, Darious Hall has moved into DePaul’s starting lineup and he’s a value as long as Reed stays out. The sophomore has played 30 minutes in both of these starts and he’s coming off one of his best games of the season when he had 24 DK points against Marquette on Tuesday - with 11 points scored and seven rebounds. It remains to be seen whether or not Reed will play today as he recovers from a hip pointer injury. Obviously if Reed ($8,600 DK / $8,800 FD) ends up playing, he’s also very much in play in all formats because of his immense DFS ceiling and previous dominance of Providence (57 DK points in the first meeting). If Reed is out again, though, expect Hall to start a third straight and a virtual lock for cash games at these prices.
