TOP PLAYS

Myles Powell - Seton Hall ($8,300)

If Myles Powell and Seton Hall is on the slate, we need to have him in strong consideration because of his extremely high offensive usage and shots share. Lately, though, Powell has not been a lock play with a couple below-average outings in three of the last four games. Still, to understand Powell’s high DFS ceiling - just look at what he did against Georgetown a week ago when he had 50 DK points and 34 real points scored. The matchup today on the road at Providence is a tougher one for him than usual - but Powell is actually performing better in away games this season, oddly. He’s averaging 38.7 DK points on the road compared to 29.4 DK points at home - while shooting better from the field and from three on the road. The Seton Hall offense has been more balanced lately - which has hurt Powell’s upside - but on the road he tends to take more shots and the offense runs more through him.

Filip Petrusev - Gonzaga ($7,800)

Whenever Gonzaga is on the DFS slate, it’s always a good idea to get at least some exposure to their core players. Tonight is a definite target spot because they are projected to score the most points by far tonight in a fast-paced matchup with Pepperdine - and the Zags run a short rotation where the best players play a ton of minutes. Gonzaga’s most consistent DFS performer this year is their sophomore center, Filip Petrusev, who’s averaging 31 DK points per game over the last ten outings and has put up at least 36 DK points in three of the last four. When Petrusev faced Pepperdine earlier this year, he had 37 DK points with a double-double - and he could easily replicate those numbers with a big advantage inside against the Waves’ frontcourt.

Alpha Diallo - Providence ($7,400)

Admittedly, it’s been tough to pay up for Alpha Diallo this season because he’s often not been worth his expensive salaries. Lately, though, Providence’s senior wing is playing a lot better and is back to filling the stat sheet on a regular basis. Over the last three games, Diallo is averaging 15.7 points, 9.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.7 blocks/steals per outing - and he’s coming off a performance on Wednesday when he put up a whopping 51 DK points against St. John’s. We should expect Diallo to have another big game in his high-usage role in a fast-paced matchup against Seton Hall tonight. When he faced Seton Hall earlier this year, Diallo put up 32 DK points - and we’ll take that production all day at this depressed price tag that’s lower than usual.

Nick Rakocevic - USC ($7,400)

All signs are pointing towards Onyeka Okongwu sitting again today with a concussion - and Nick Rakocevic will likely operate as the top offensive option for the Trojans for a second straight game. On Thursday, Rakocevic benefited a ton from his teammate’s absence as he dropped 42 DK points thanks to a big increase in offensive usage and shot volume. The senior finished with a stat-stuffing line of 19 points, nine rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block on 17 shot attempts - his most in a while. We can expect more of the same today with Okongwu out and Rakocevic having a big advantage in the post against Washington State team that does not rebound well, gets their shots blocked a lot and gives up a ton of opposing points in the paint. When USC faced Washington State earlier this year, Okongwu had a big performance inside with 27 points scored, 12 rebounds and three blocks. It shouldn’t surprise us to see that type of game from Rakocevic in his place tonight.

VALUE PLAYS

Isaiah Mobley - USC ($4,400)

Mobley stepped into the Trojans’ starting lineup on Thursday with Onyeka Okongwu out and he could be one of the best values again today in a repeat role. If Okongwu sits again with a concussion (which seems likely), Mobley would likely start his seventh game of the year and his salary remains unchanged from the previous outing. In Thursday’s start, the freshman put up 26 DK points in a season-high 33 minutes with his 10 points scored, seven rebounds and four assists. Mobley is a former five-star recruit but has struggled to find consistent playing time behind both Okongwu and Nick Rakocevic this year. When he’s gotten extended minutes, though, he’s shown true upside and he’s a definite value at this salary if he indeed starts in Okongwu’s place again.

Christian Keeling - UNC ($4,300)

With Brandon Robinson still out for North Carolina, Christian Keeling is one of the value guards on this slate that is not priced appropriately for what his current role is. Although Keeling still comes off the bench with Robinson out, the senior has seen 18-30 minutes off the bench in a sixth-man scoring role. Over the last three games, Keeling has scored in double-figures in each outing and put up at least 22 DK points in all three. The matchup tonight against Virginia is definitely a tougher one in a slower-paced game, but UNC has clearly leaned on Keeling for offense with the team struggling to win games this year. Even with Cole Anthony back, it’s encouraging to see him have this offensive role - and that should continue with Robinson out.

Jaiden Delaire - Stanford ($4,200)

We suggested Jaiden Delaire as an elite value on Thursday and he came through for 18.5 DK points in extended playing time. That role should continue tonight with Stanford likely still without starting big man Oscar da Silva. In that last game, Delaire was still one of Stanford’s better post scorers despite coming off the bench - while starter Lukas Kisunas only played four minutes and gave way to Delaire for the majority of the game. In the game prior - when da Silva got hurt - Delaire also filled in nicely with his 19 points scored and 34 DK points. He’s still a very good value with a salary that not has moved since Thursday’s game - and he’ll likely be very chalky if/when da Silva is out again.

Others to Consider:

  • Tyler Bey - Colorado ($7,900)

  • Jaden McDaniels - Washington ($7,200)

  • Sandro Mamukelashvili - Seton Hall ($5,600)

  • Stone Gettings - Arizona ($4,900)

  • Bryce Wills - Stanford ($4,800)
