All is back to normal for CBB DFS players. No more 2-game slates - at least until next week. The weekend slates are always bigger and we’re here to break it all down at Fantasy Alarm!

Saturday brings along a massive schedule of matchups - 10 games on the 12 pm ET slate for DraftKings with eight of those available on FanDuel. As you’ll notice, there are a few games to simply ignore from a DFS perspective today. Usually that means the best players are priced too high or the low over/under is too risky to target.

One thing to remember on these larger slates: there are so many different ways to construct lineups. We give you plenty of forward and guard options below, but there will almost definitely be some plays not listed that 5x or 6x their salaries. It’s just the way to goes on these big slates - especially on the 10-gamer on DK.

Let’s dive in!

Games To Target

Tennessee at Memphis - 12 pm ET (DK & FD) - This in-state, non-conference matchup should be a high-scoring one in a rivalry meeting. No. 3 Tennessee comes in as 9-point road favorites with 153 projected combined points. Expect Memphis to keep this one closer than the line suggests, though, as it plays at the 19th-fastest tempo per KenPom’s ratings. You’ll see below that Memphis has a few guards who should excel with outside shooting with Tennessee’s dominant big man Grant Williams clogging the middle.

SMU at Georgetown - 12 pm ET (DK & FD) - This one is a battle of opposites in terms of pace. According to KenPom’s ratings, Georgetown plays at the 18th-fastest tempo in the nation while SMU is the 13th-slowest out of 353 rated teams. On the road, SMU will have to play faster than normal if they want to keep pace with the 4.5-point favorite Hoyas. Vegas expects just that as there’s 152 expected points in this one - one of the highest marks on the slate.

Guards

Carsen Edwards - PUR ($9,600 DK / $8,600 FD) - Even at this steep price, Edwards may be the highest-owned player on the slate following his 40-point explosion last game out. As Purdue’s clear-cut top scoring option who handles the ball every time up the court, Edwards fantasy floor is very high. He’s racked up 20+ shot attempts in five different games and has taken double-digit 3-pointers seven times this season. Edwards is more of a tournament play on DraftKings but is very affordable on FanDuel where he’s $1,000 cheaper.

Jeremiah Martin - MEM ($7,400 DK / $7,300 FD) - Every Memphis player is underpriced today because they’ll be facing Tennessee’s 13th-best defense. Still, they will need to score if they want to keep pace with their in-state opponents. Martin’s fantasy performances have been a little up-and-down of late, but as Memphis’ lead ball-handler he brings a solid 25-point floor with his 4.0 rbg and 3.7 apg in addition to double-digit shots in all but one game this year.

Jordan Bone - TENN ($6,800 DK / $6,900 FD) - Bone’s scoring has gone down over the last two, but he’s still distributing the ball extremely well - dishing out 10 and 9 assists in those games. He has a solid 20-point floor for fantasy with upside to reach 35 if he’s hitting his shots and scoring 15-18 real points - something he’s struggled to do lately. Bone is more of a tournament play at this price.

T.J. Gibbs - ND ($6,200 DK / 6,700 FD) - With Gibbs’ high shot volume over the past four games, he may be one of the safest cash game option at guard today. In that four-game span, Gibbs has put up 16 shot attempts from the field three different times and then 14 in the other one. While Carsen Edwards may be a phenomenal scorer, he’s not great on the defensive end. If he’s guarding Gibbs today, this could turn into a nice play with how many looks he gets.

Tyler Harris - MEM ($6,200 DK / $6,400 FD) - Harris’ scoring ability has really taken off over the last four games. During that span, he’s scored at least 20 points in three games while averaging 9.5 three-point attempts - close to 75% of all his FG attempts. Expect Harris to continue firing from deep as Memphis will need to find scoring outside of the paint with Tennessee’s Grant Williams dominating that area.

James Akinjo - GTWN ($6,100 DK / $5,900 FD) - People may be off Akinjo after his stinker of a game last time out - but it was against Syracuse’s tough defense and just the first game he was in single-digits in real points since the season opener. In the seven games sandwiched between, Akinjo put up double-digit shot attempts and provides a 25-point fantasy floor.

Markell Johnson - NCST ($5,800 DK / $6,100 FD) - Don’t get scared off by Johnson’s last game. It was a blowout win and he wasn’t needed to play extended minutes. In the two games before that, though, Johnson 6x-ed his salary in both as he was hitting his shots and racking up assists - a trend you can expect to continue as NC State’s best distributor and an emerging scorer.

Marcus Garrett - KU ($4,700 DK / $5,600 FD) - It still remains to be seen how Kansas adapts to Udoka Azubuike being out indefinitely. Garrett has gotten 30+ minutes in each of the last three games after missing a contest two weeks ago with a concussion. If Kansas goes small like they did last game when Azubuike left early, Garrett should see 30 minutes once again and can give you 25 fantasy points if he continues to be active in his defensive role. He presents nice value in cash and tournaments at this price.

Jarrey Foster - SMU ($4,400 DK / $4,900 FD) - Foster is still working his way back from injury but he was one of the better starters for SMU last year before tearing his ACL in January. His playing time is rising, though, as he’s gotten 28 minutes in each of the last two games. At this cheap salary, Foster is a very safe cash game play as he’ll give you 15 fantasy points as a floor with the potential for more if his minutes continue to go up.

Mac McClung - GTWN ($4,300 DK / $5,600 FD) - You may have seen the YouTube videos of McClung as a high school stud. The freshman hasn’t totally lived up to expectations so far, but the talent is there and he’s putting up a ton of shots lately for Georgetown. Over the past three games, he’s averaging 12 shots per contest and has put up two 20-point fantasy performances. At this low of a price, he requires a hard look as a value play in cash or tournaments.

Forwards

Grant Williams - TENN ($10,900 DK / $9,300 FD) - Williams is tough to pay up for as the most expensive player on both sites today - but he’s worth it. Averaging 19.9 ppg, 9.3 rbg and 4.6 apg, he provides a very high floor as he’s yet to score less than 34 fantasy points in any game this season. Memphis doesn’t much size to deal with Williams down low, giving him a real possibility to score at least 45 fantasy points tonight - a number he’s reached four times this year already.

Dedrick Lawson - KU ($10,500 DK / $9,100 FD) - You have to make a decision tonight between rostering Williams or Lawson as your high-priced studs. For cash games, it’s near impossible to fit both in but to get in the green you might have to pay up for one of them. Lawson gets a slight bump in usage and value with Udoka Azubuike out as he’ll get more touches as the clear best big for Kansas. Lawson has been on a tear lately, shooting over 50% from the field in five of the last six games and posting 50 fantasy points three separate times.

Elijah Hughes - SYR ($6,800 DK / $7,000 FD) - Old Dominion-Syracuse has a very low expected total at 123.5, making the DFS-friendly options few and far between on both sides. Thomas, though, has been very consistent this season - scoring double-digit real points in all but two games this season with just one game where he put up less than 23 fantasy points. Thomas is a bit risky, however, if Syracuse elects to give Frank Howard more run as he returns from injury.

Kavion Pippen - SIU ($6,000 DK / $6,600 FD) - For this play, you have to check on Armon Fletcher’s status before tip. Fletcher has missed the last two games due to suspension and the offense has focused around Pippen down low during that span. With Fletcher in, though, Pippen takes a backseat in offensive production and just gives upside in rebounds and blocks.

Yves Pons - TENN ($4,300 DK / $4,100 FD) - Pons is very interesting tonight. He’s been starting lately with Lamonte Turner out - but with Turner a game-time decision today, you’ll need to monitor the injury news right up to tip. Pons’ guard-eligibility on DraftKings makes him attractive there but a lesser price on FanDuel vaults him into one of the better values on that site.

Mitch Lightfoot - KU ($3,900 DK / $4,500 FD) - With Udoka Azubuike sidelined indefinitely, Kansas will likely look to Lightfoot to fill the secondary big man role alongside Dedrick Lawson for the near future. When Azubuike went down four minutes into the Jayhawks’ last game, Bill Self elected to run a small lineup with four guards for most of the game but Lightfoot saw a season-high 18 minutes. Villanova is a taller team in general with more talented forwards than Kansas’ last opponent (New Mexico State). Expect Lightfoot to play 20+ minutes today - but remains risky for much he can actually give you.

Aaron Wheeler - PUR ($3,600 DK / $4,300 FD) - Per usual, there’s not a lot of value at forward today. Wheeler presents a solid option if he continues what he’s done over the past three games as a reserve for Purdue. He’s getting more run during that stretch - playing 17, 21 and 19 minutes - and shot four three-pointers in each of the last two contests. He’s been a spark off the bench for the Boilermakers and they may need that again on the road vs. Notre Dame.
