(+140) Team Vitality v Misfits (-180)

(+130) Excel Esports v FC Schalke 04 (-170)

(-350) MAD Lions v Astralis (+250)

(-400) G2 Esports v SK Gaming  (+275)

(+110) Fnatic v Rogue (-140)

LEC is on its last day of the regular season, but there are still some playoff spots left to confirm! VIT vs MSF is Misfits favored, and the last hurdle they need to cross to secure their spot. S04 vs XL face off in a death-match for a spot, G2 faces SK in a similar do-or-die for the latter, whereas G2 are just looking for the bye. Similarly, FNC and RGE are playing for their own seeding. MAD and Astralis face off in a comparatively low steaks match that will have minimal impact on seeding. Let’s see who’s favored to win.

Captain

Vetheo ($11,100)

Misfits’ meteoric rise off of the latter half of the split has come not from a roster substitution, but a re-thinking about how they should play the game. Instead of jungler Razork moving towards bottom lane in an effort to pressure and lend an advantage to the lane, instead he links with mid laner Vetheo and creates chaos alongside his mid laner. MSF’s final opponent in Vitality should be only an ant hill to overcome; Milica and Skeanz have looked uncertain in form, and Milica in particular looks consistently detrimental to VIT’s success. Choose Vetheo ideally, or Razork if you have a plan with that cash.

Alternatives to consider: Razork ($10,800)

Top Lane

Odoamne ($6,000)

Despite Rogue taking the loss against XL, I still think they can finish strong versus Fnatic, the main areas I’d look to target is their support Hylissang, and top laner Bwipo: fortunately for Rogue, their own top laner in Odoamne is outstanding. Despite Rogue occasionally taking losses across the split (only 4 so far out of 17), Rogue puts up relatively consistent performances with good point output. I think Bwipo will get crushed by Odoamne, and I have Rogue taking the match. Otherwise, you can roll safe with HiRit versus Szygenda in Misfits versus VIT, but I prefer Rogue’s top laner.

Alternatives to consider: HiRit ($6,400)

Jungle

Razork ($7,200)

Razork has really started to come into his own this split: he’s had a good amount of games where he’s popped off, and especially recently as he’s found his footing without long time mid laner Febiven and instead with newcomer Vetheo. I think all of the players on Misfits had latent potential coming into this split, but Vetheo and Razork in particular did an exemplary job awakening that talent, I have them crushing VIT and marching proudly into play-offs on Sunday. Secondarily, rookie Elyoya is another fantastic choice, him alongside Armut are the two most consistent points on MAD in my opinion, and I think they will handle AST with no issue.

Alternatives to consider: Elyoya ($7,600)

Mid Lane

Abbedagge ($7,000)

S04 has had two players consistently perform despite their mid season drought: mid laner Abbedagge and support LIMIT stood strong despite the underperformance from their AD, top, and jungle. As the split concludes, I think Gilius, Neon, and Broken Blade especially have snapped out of whatever trance they’ve been in, and Abbedagge looks all the better for it. Other than Fakerdagge, I’d choose Caps for mid lane, since he has a decent match-up versus Blue.

Alternatives to consider: Caps ($8,000)

ADC

Kobbe ($7,400)

Misfits’ ADC Kobbe hasn’t been my favorite player throughout his career, ever since he went to North America I thought his career would never recover, fortunately, as this split closed I was pleasantly surprised to see Kobbe shape up at the same time the rest of his team did. Despite Vander leaving lane more often, Kobbe suspiciously feels more comfortable alone 1v2ing than working with Vander in the laning phase. For a second choice, Rogue’s Hans sama will have an opportunity to redeem himself versus FNC on Sunday, where Hylissang in particular looks vulnerable.

Alternatives to consider: Hans sama ($7,600)

Support

Vander ($5,800)

Finally, the season comes full circle: from pro-Vander, to anti-Vander, back to pro-Vander. Misfits finally have put the pieces together in how to implement Vander into their squad. He’s more active on the map, and is capable of letting his macro shine in the early game, Vander when he gets out of bottom lane allows Misfits to demonstrate their true strengths. Alongside Abbedagge, I’d also recommend LIMIT, the other player who has been on the up-side for S04.

Alternatives to consider: LIMIT ($5,400)

Team

FC Schalke 04 ($5,000)

I think the two big hitters on the day are S04 and Misfits, I think S04 is the better composed team relative to XL with more upside in the mid lane, support, and jungle position. Broken Blade has looked on top of things too. Misfits versus Vitality is another easy choice: VIT have been looking on-and-off, and while Crownshot has rejuvenated the roster, my hopes have been dashed recently, Milica in particular looks hopeless.

Alternatives to consider: Misfits ($5,200)

Stacks

Vetheo & Razork

My Misfits stack is the two who really shook up their play style to find out what worked: jungler Razork and mid laner Vetheo. I think these two changing from bot lane focus to mid lane focus unlocked the team, and they look capable in the carry position. These two are good bets for points, since they actively change for each other.

Abbedagge & LIMIT

The two stalwarts on S04 are my next choice: Abbedagge has looked like a different player once Coronavirus caused the LEC to go online, and the improvement has been drastic. He looks like a capable mid laner and is a consistent positive for S04. LIMIT has been looking good since summer on SK, and he’s been having a good split on S04 too. When in doubt, these two are solid choices.

Odoamne & Hans sama

My two picks for Rogue are targeting Fnatic’s weak links: Hylissang and Bwipo, so I choose Hans sama for ADC and Odoamne for top lane. Rogue took a rough loss on Saturday, but I think they’ll be able to finish the split strong considering their great performances beforehand.

Top Picks: Vetheo, Abbedagge, Razork

As I’ve said before, Vetheo and Razork are who I have my eyes on from Misfits: they play well together and have transformed Misfits by being a solid unit. Abbedagge is a solid player, and should show up well against Czekolad on Sunday.

Top Value: Odoamne, LIMIT, Gilius

Each of these player target weaknesses on the enemy line up: Dan, Tore are amongst the worst in their positions, and I think LIMIT and Gilius will match them well. Bwipo has been a liability on Fnatic, whereas Odoamne is the player Rogue look to lead the charge.
